You really need to watch the 80’s Turtles to see that splinter wasn’t a rat but a Human that turned into a rat cause he made friends with them so when he got into the mutagen it turned him into what he was close too. & April was a news Reporter not a scientist, Baxter was a nerdy white guy & shredder wanted to know how to take over those mouser’s once he saw who created them so he can harm the turtles & there master.
