Lanturns and Altarias aren’t the best but they are very accessible so they are more common at lower elos. The more I climb the less I see of them. Especially for Altaria which is slow to moves. Henry is at an elo where I imagine he just doesn’t have to worry about them much. They still come up once in a while but it even still they are workable.
If you want easy wins just use a pokemon that counters Lanturn. Run 3 pokemons that beat it in all general scenarios and you just have a fun time getting a 3v2. What's a Lanturn going to do against a Dragon pokemon like Dragonair? You can even use Cradily as it just does very well against both of them.
Also if you mean by ban, then might as well just ban out Lickitung Carbink Registeel Swampert and the other meta picks. The only realistic way they can ban pokemons is limited formats like Remix cups. But if we are just talking about straitup bans they can just do a rotation where X Pokemons cannot be used for that current rotation and then switch it around until the next same league comes around so it balances it out without affecting too much in the format.

I mean to be fair getting 9 wins or higher at leaderboard rankings is actually very difficult. Considering how there were some matches that got poor leads and countered on safe switch AND a team comp which you would normally struggle against like Double Charm, winning it is actually good to watch cuz you know you got a hard match but still won it. Also most people run the same pokemon like Lanturn so consider using a pokemon that just already beats it and you already get a free win.

Whats crazy is how I mostly see talon flame since it got buffed so I used kanto golem and now all I moslty see is laturn or chargabug.
Alolan Golem would've been better there
