  • Join my wife and I on a 10-day, Canadian East Coast Overlanding trip with our 5 month old son, Jensen. This trip, I kit out my Toyota Tacoma to support The Chuck Box, my custom built 5x8 Cargo Trailer Overland Camper so that we can live comfortably off grid, while overlanding. This isn't your typical RV - Book - a - Campsite trip!

    Joel, I have 2 trailer questions for you. 1. Do you tie down the trailer door so it doesn’t catch wind gusts? 2. Did you consider adding a screen door to the chuck box? Like one of the cheap ones that uses magnets to close the center seam?

    • @JoelTremblayCA
      @JoelTremblayCA  11 месяцев назад

      Great questions! 1. Yes, and if you checkout my build videos you'll see that I typically wedge a piece a wood and use the door chain as a method to keep it from flying open/close. 2. In the summer I do have a bug mesh exactly like the one you're talking about. I take it off during fall/winter because the bugs tend to die down. Thanks for watching!!

    I took a page out of your playback and built my own chuck box. Used a 4x8 enclosed trailer. We trying to hit all the provincial parks in Ontario with it. Around 35 so far....I'm sure we will meet up with you on the road someday.

    An enjoyable video Joel, and brings back memories of our trip out east years ago "three young children". Good to see the cargo conversion getting used for camping, we enjoy ours and it is an ongoing modification project that keeps me interested. Saw a grill similar to yours at Princess Auto, am I close.

      Awesome, thanks for tuning in! I picked this grill up from home hardware, think you can get them basically anywhere. Highly recommend!

    Love your camper and what a beautiful spot to camp by the water! How do you like your little black stone grill? I want to buy the same one for camping I think it’s the adventure one
