Impossible not to like Regan. Really hope she can continue to enjoy her swimming the next four years. Still thinking about her final turn in the 200 fly.

It's great just hearing Regan ramble, it's almost like we get to be on our own personal FaceTime call with her!

Regan Smith is a big reason why the backstroke is so fun to watch. She had 2 gold medals and 3 gold-medal caliber performances in the Paris Olympics. In my opinion, she’s no worse than top 5 best female swimmers in the world. She has the big smile and charming personality but behind that is the heart of a lion and deep determination to succeed and become one of the best female swimmers ever.

One of the alltime greatest swimmers. But somehow always ends up short in the individual Olympic events that she holds world records. Must be psychological (maybe too nervous and too much pressure ) or just physically tired (maybe lack of sleep. However really appreciate her total transparency and honesty. And it sounds like she now thoroughly understands herself and could finally get the individual golds in LA if she decides to go for it. Wish her the best in whatever she does in the future.

It seemed like Regan had a slight late taper in Paris. She was off her time in the 100 back, but set a PB in the 200 fly a couple of days later. Then was off her time in the 200 back, but that could be due to being tired from the 200 fly the day prior. After a couple of days rest, she beat the OR leading off the medley relay.

Considering how self-absorbed and smug all U.S. Olympic swim team members are, she came across as somewhat personable throughout this interview. I'll still continue to root against her every time she races K. Rochelle McCow, though.

So what? She can’t bring it in finals of individual events, gets mentally destroyed by Kaylee in ready room. Regan trying so hard not to cry on the podium
When getting silver, yeah you’re not fooling anyone
