I love the angle this message was preached. I had heard this preached, but none put the emphasis on verses 7.
I agree with these 3 potential theories what a messager of Satan to torment or harass me could mean.
I absolutely agree that the thorn was put in Paul's flesh by God, with the purpose to torment or harass Paul. Job was good with his faith in God arguing with his 3 friends. But the 4th friend broke down Job and caused Job to question why God allowed this thorn, a messager of Satan to torment him, to keep him from being conceited.
I also think that God is using Satan to continuously to harass Paul with all the lies Satan could possibly throw at Paul. Just as the serpent did to Adam and Eve. But they failed.
Satan tried 40 days and 40 nites to harass Jesus, but failed. What were there, we are not told. However, the bible tells us the 3 harassments when Jesus came out of the wilderness. Satan could not overcome Jesus. The grace of God was sufficient for Jesus.
I like to believe that as Christians, God throws curve balls at us by using Satan. At the same time, God is using our failures to reveal to us how much we need the grace of God. It's through this inability to deal with Satan's schemes to harass us, such that we are convince that we are so weak and as a result, we look up to heaven and know that we need Christ.
Therefore, l like to believe that God is using Satan again and again to test our faith by nonstop harassing or tormenting believers, to cause us to know 2 things:
    1. We are absolutely weak.
    2. God is almighty.
    Thorn is painful, but necessary.

What does Not to be repented of mean 2 cor 7:10. I take it to mean our repentance to salvation is permanent.
