  • The Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine RR put on an exceptional photo special with #10 and #15 on October 28, 2018. Enjoy. This was a challenge to video due to the varying light in the deep forest. As the day went on and the sun went lower I had to use up to 18db of gain to get proper exposure.

Copper Cruz I went to YMSPRR twice. I first visited the railroad back when I was young and I saw Shay No. 10 for the first time, and I rode on the train with that engine. Then I came back to the railroad on October 2019 and then I saw No. 15 for the first time and rode behind it during the Halloween train ride event that they were doing.

The trains are before you get to Yosemite about 30 mins north of Oakhurst but this was a nice video of our beautiful mountains before the burn and the awesome trains from the logging days

Where's the Shay with the diamond stack?

Shay No. 10 wore the balloon stack. It was removed a couple of years ago during maintenance, not likely to go back on any time soon.

Don’t know if the terminus is a runaround or an actual balloon loop
