Does anyone think that these guys have had HEAVY inspiration from Pretty Lights? I literally think its Pretty Lights whenever one of these songs come on and it always ends up being Gramatik or Grizmatik.

But even though GRiZ is inspired by Pretty Lights, they both have a very unique and different style! Love them both

While i absolutely see why you would think this, its actually the other way around. Gramatik is a complete beast of a producer/beat maker and sampler..( dude has A+ sampling techniques, chops and an ear for the dopest samples. His own unique soul dripping infused style cemented well before DVS/pretty lights signed Gramatik. To prove my point listen to his work b4 joining the pretty lights team...his trax were way more raw, chill and soul driven. He def still drops bangers...cat is a modern day compositional monster, but since 2011 the pretty lights crew has def rubbed off on his production.
Ever since glitch hop came to the scene, I became a happier person.

It's important, yes, but not the most important. Also it's not underestimated, it's greatly overestimated. Proof for this is the fact that beats by dre are so popular, and that people equate strong bass response to high audio quality.

I love my AKG k618 headset. It's quite heavy for such a compact headset making me believe it's sturdier then most other headsets in a similar price range of 80-120 euro. And the basses rumble through my head nice and smooth. The isolation is 100%, you cannot hear shit and nobody hears your music, best isolation of ambient noise, I've ever had on a headset. This headset overall is just good value for money.

Yes I got a pair of gaming headsets and was worried that my music would disappear. But because it was for gaming it came with Dolby 7.1 surround sound with it, and music sounds INSANE with it on. Everything is boosted, not volume wise, I am not sure how...have to do some research but you can hear everything much more crisply and all the great deep bass. I don't know what the surround sound is actually doing as it is only an effect because it is virtual, but it sounds fantastic.

Depending on whether you're looking for earbuds or over ear headphones my recommendation (if you're willing to pay 60 for a pair of headphones) would be the Munitio Billets, I bought those and have never used anything different since, the sound quality and frequency response is absolutely amazing for a small pair of earbuds like them. I would absolutely recommend them.

Simply Amazing !
Somehow I find Bose OE2 as one of the best headset piece I've ever had. It's comfortable which is great for long hours of music, I can literally wear it throughout the whole work day (which is programming) and barely move it to make it comfy. It has crisp highs and deep-enough lows. (However I'm not that happy with the mid range). It is quite pricey though, but definitely worth the money.

V-Moda has some great headphones, They have a set that you can customize to your liking, and are made to last, I've had my set for almost 2 years and they sound just as good when i got them.
This should be called AWESOME MUSIC!

After long periods of time using non-monitor headphones I'm very satisfied with my V-Modas! It'd be probably good to own monitors just for mastering music, but I like to have some bass anyways! Even though I listen lots of jazz, post-rock and modern classical. Many people are saying that you shouldn't listen jazz with V-Modas. Maybe my opinion is biased, but I can't really see why not :s And yeah, these are built like a freaking tank.

Audio-Technica ATH M50, Beyerdynamic DT770 and Sennheiser HD650 are pretty awesome, there are of course more that are awesome too but they're just what come to mind immediately. They're quite expensive but I don't know what your budget is :)

Just got My V-Moda M-100. And I gotta tell you guys, especially if you like electronic music/Hip-hop: get these. Or Crossfade LP's which are alot cheaper but has very nice sound too.

I have Pioneer SE-M290 and I don't have anything bad to say about them except that they could be a bit more durable, but I have used some wire to fix them and they still feel as good as new. :D They are really comfortable though. They were fairly cheap too, got them for 27€.

If you just want them for your computer I really really recommend the Sennheiser PC 350 they have fantastic sound quality and if you skype or what have you then you don't have to set a mic on your desktop.
If you want quality, you're going to usually have to pay for quality. V-moda, bose, and AudioTechnica are all good. Sennheiser are great too, and fair priced. I highly suggest them if you are trying to save a couple bucks.
I personally bought a pair of universal afterglows and I first bought them for competitive gaming but they have proven to have the same if not better sound quality than the beats studio's for less than a fourth of the price
I completely agree with you that it isn't necessary to have expensive headphones to enjoy the music. I'm just saying that if you're gonna spend a lot of money, spend it wisely, and get something that's worth it. Besides, I got my pair for only $80 (about £50). It's a tad more expensive, but as far as quality goes it's pretty darn affordable. And gaming headsets are much more expensive, so this person would have been saving money with my option too.
Imagine if Grizmatik and Pretty Lights collaborated... oh my.
