as the guy who sent it i take responsibility for it coming apart in the box. i probably didnt pack it properly but it came to me and others fully assembled and fine luckily. A lot of the parts were removable for combined mode too. glad you could take a look at it!
I can appreciate the beauty but I have a mental block that prevents me from even recognizing this as Optimus Prime. If this had been introduced as a new figure by any other name, it would be more accepted by G1 fans imo.
@@LtDeadeye the mechanical parts and proportions. Don’t get me wrong I mainly collect 3p G1 masterpiece but I have a couple three zero bay formers in a case and they display beautiful by them Selves. I know that a lot of people don't care for this design and I totally understand why. But I personally have a soft spot for it because it's one of the main Optimus designs that I grew up with. Plus, it was absolutely awe-inspiring to see him in live action for the first time and it holds a lot of nostalgia for me.
I haven’t been this early to a video before (sleep schedule is garbage right now) and yikes this will be my last! These early bozo comments are a wreck! Lots of people mindlessly trashing Bobby and this figure for seemingly no reason. Great review though Bobby! I’m a ThreeZero collect and have gone back and forth on this guy, the fiddly bits and parts falling off have steered me away though and I’d probably have your exact experience with this. So much appreciated for the honest take!
It's not my cup of tea since I don't like the Bayverse designs but it seems a very good action figure. There is some range limitation to both the bicep swivel and the legs, I agree that for the price point Threezero should have worked it out but with double everything, very good articulation in the head, butterfly joints and ab crunch it's not fair to say it has limited articulation. The pieces coming of when manipulated doesn't bother me, first because they have to come of to allow for the combination and second because this is a display piece so as long as the pieces wont fall on their own it's OK by me. I believe some ppl may be crossing their fingers for this figure to be a big fiasco hopping it will somehow justify their believe that Flame Toys is better than Threezero since the Victory Saber was a big disappointment. In my opinion, the fact ppl try to directly compare Threezero to Flame Toys ignoring the fact that this Threezero Prime costs $270 and Flame Toys Star Saber costs $470 is in itself the answer to which one of the two is in fact better. Imagine what Threezero would do with $200 more and Flame Toys with $200 less, in terms of bang for your buck Threezero comes on top every time with no sweat. Thanks for the review Mr. Skullface.
Don’t have much comments about the figure seeing as I’ve grown to despise the Bayverse designs. I’m really here just for engagement and support. Keep up the good shit sir! 👍
@@kennythetrend3688 nope fits my feelings on them just fine. I think they are messy, ugly designs and I am allowed to think how I want. If you like em cool, don’t be offended because someone doesn’t like everything you do be comfortable enough in yourself to own your opinions and not constantly try to defend it. I didn’t attack you or anyone that likes the Bayverse designs. Everyone has their own tastes.
Yep, agree with a lot of this. I have a real love/hate relationship with this and their Jetfire having owned both for a while now. Both look stunning. Both have got some amazing articulation but are genuinely hampered by the amount of removable pieces that facilitate the combination. It leads to a considerable amount of frustration when manipulating them. Particularly with Jetfire. If you end up looking at him, that will be a VERY interesting review. The guy comes disassembled in 4 frikkin' trays.
I believe that he only comes with one blue piece for the gun because he only has that blue piece on in the movie when he has one gun out. In the scene where he dual wielded blaster (warehouse battle), there were no blue piece in sight. Also the guns are the exact same copies rather than being symmetrical so having the blue piece in the left arm would mean it will be in the medial side (inside) of the forearm which isn’t where it was intended to be.
My Threezero Premium scale Transformers: Bumble Bee Optimus Prime finally arrived and it’s even more beautiful than I imagined. My only gripe is that his loose fingers digits don’t support the weight of his ion blaster. I have to balance it if I want to display him with it.
I think it is interesting to see how this is viewed once the combined mode is out. It has been almost a deathblow to flame toys (after victory saber) but three0 is viewed in a much better light. I wonder if this will knock some sheen off of their reputation
It is out and very decent. Jetfire himself is flawed in the same ways as Prime, frustrating but still quite excellent. The biggest issue I have with mine in Jetpower mode is that some parts are still prone to popping off, and it takes significant time and a lot of space to put together. That being said, it's a very stable piece when combined and has zero problems with weight distribution and joint tolerances which was my biggest concern.
Lmao, 7 days without breakages!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💯🤔🤣🤣🤣 Yo I wouldn't mind hanging out with ya bro I know I'm a little older but hey age ain't nothing but a number!!! Geek out!!! 💯
I wonder if using magnets, in place of or along with the pegs, would have made a difference with the solidity of the looser pieces. Regardless, it's gorgeous, probably the best looking movie Prime I have seen. Threezero has a top notch paint dept.
There's only one blue piece because in the original '07 film, he just used the one gun that had the one blue piece. If I had to guess, despite inaccuracies in continuity, one gun is probably buried beneath the other and so there's only one gun that has a "skin" piece attached to it while the other doesn't. Bay-verse doesn't really do a whole lot of symmetrical functions.
I'll be honest, they should've just done a jet power prime as a separate figure to make this guy perfect. He has way too many removable pieces for my comfort
Could've used magnets. But still, I think this is an art piece and treat it as such. Unless you're someone who buys your kids $230 toys, then I won't argue with you.
Bobby loves these non-transforming, overpriced, licenced 3-0 cr@p figs, doesn't he! 😀 There's one thing I look down on even more, the statues! 🤣 On top, this is a bayformer even, so it's like double-cr@p! 😅 Notice how they've changed the proportions from screen accurate to more "heroic". Anyways, if that's what you like, more power to you, I'm not judging you wholeheartedly, man. 😌👌
Wow short sighted Narrow minded blinkers on much! The Threezero MDLX line is and has the potential to be even more great. Bumblebee and Prime with Megatron Rodimus confirmed next. Bee next to a MP shows it up big time. Sculpt paint materials possibility IDW/G1 affordable price . Just like a model F1 1:18 model car doesn't drive it's still a representation of a car! And whilst Bayformers is not my jam there are ppl who do enjoy this period of Transformers, you comment does nothing but show you up pal. @@NinjaSquirrel30 It sounded to me like Bobby wanted to like this thing because he usually does like the line, but he was becoming less and less wowed by it as the review rolled on. He wanted to like it, and he's still trying to convince himself that it's worth it at the end, but... There's too little articulation, too many fiddly and fall-offable bits, and it's from a series that he never really got into (Bayformers). Tauron's delivery was blunt, but I think his perception is spot on. I can appreciate the mega sculpt and paintwork.
