Steve, thanks for posting this. A lot of people don't realize how grueling it is to tour and play. I toured in the 80s and still remember the converted school bus climbing the mountains in the northeast in the middle of the night after a huge snow fall with no heat or even worse, packing up after a month in a ski resort near the Canadian border and leaving early Sunday AM to be in NC by noon the next day. Great to see all the smiles from the folks in the band cuz it isn't easy. BTW, been there and still doing that with the equipment packing. My Helix rig is the smallest thing I get in my SUV....I carry sound and lights locally and every space is filled so thank God for the Helix.
Couldnt have said it better! Lol thank you for watching and supporting
Awe hey! That was a great show! Was a pleasure running sound for you that day!
Your Brian May tone sounded spot on Steve! Heck, all of it sounded great. Thanks for taking us behind the scenes.
Great video Steve! This is right up there with Jess’s European Vloggs from pre-pandemic!! It’s natural, informative and fun! Wonderful to see you guy’s getting along day to day and coping with whatever comes along!! 👏👏👏👍👍
Damn, Bob has more energy than I do and he's got more than 20 years on me. Love seeing Audrey.
Hes a beast!
Much love my bro 🤘❤️
right back atcha!
Super video, Steve. Thanks for keeping us posted.
Thank you for always being here SS!
As I'm sitting here at home working on a useable A/B dual amp channel switching preset. I'm watching you actually successfully use the Helix for live use and getting great tones from stage to stage. Gives me relief knowing if you can do it then so can I. I appreciate you showing that Helix can handle what usually you see AXE FX doing. Makes me feel good about my Helix products.
Thank you! You can also feel comfortable knowing you snapshots are the more powerful than the scene controllers and control switches on a fractal!
2 plates 🍽 full of army style eggs! Mmmm. Miles of corduroy dirt roads!! Reminds me of the trip I took to the ghost mining town of Bodie California. I don't think my kidneys were ever the same. Sign me up! Best wishes ❤️ Gale
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks gale!
Thanks for the tour Steve! Love these videos! 🙂
Thanks for watching!!
Hey Steve, thanks for the advice over on Jason’s channel. I would love to see you guys live if you ever come to Tampa Florida
Love this video and the guitar tones. Delicious
awesome Steve!!
Hope you enjoyed dinner
nice video to see behind the scenes. Hey gotta get that solo jumping out of the band mix more. Nestled in to much.
Thanks Scott! Was just soundcheck and more focused on eq'ing the piano. His mix was bang on during the show tho!
I've been a kemper user for a few years now but I recently bought an HX stomp that I love so much I'll be selling the kemper, they both sound great but the line 6 effects just blow the kemper out of the water, now I'm debating if I should just buy the full size helix with a powercab, buy a Fractal FM9, quad cortex, or wait until the next generation of modelers come out. The reason bought I kemper instead of a helix at that time, was because line 6 released the helix a year after a bought the HD 500, and I was pissed! I missed out.
Well, Helix is the only one readily available. You'll have to wait for months for qc or the fm9, but the Helix will probably be replaced within 2 years. That being said, i can use my helix the rest of my life and be happy if i never upgrade
Lots of fun!!! ~cheers
Do you ever miss having an amp behind you pushing some air? Either a tube amp or powered cab…..
Love the Lollar tele.
Great video love it also got a kick out of the Triple D name drop I use it too
Love it!
Good stuff!
Thank you maestro!
Cool vid! Where do you get those green and red input jack nuts?
Thanks! Gear by CEBA
So back to helix I see? I have hx stomp. What is it that makes you come back to the helix?
Snapshots and the routing! Fm9 can def do the same job, qc is behind in its routing options IMO
@@SteveSterlacci thank you for answering .Was thinking about moving to QC but that is something to think about. Did you notice a difference in tone on any of them? Thank you again I know your busy and have probably answered this before.
Did you say “when” we are coming to Europe? Or did you mean “if”…
If, but meant when ! 😉 Late May will be in France and stay in EU til August
Would you say that amp modelers lack sustain in general? I love my Helix, but if there's a moment that really reminds me I'm using a modeler is at the end of a track and you hit that last chord and it just dies way faster than when using an actual amp. Is there a fix for this?
I do know exactly what you're talking about. Its not that it doesnt exist, its just harder to pull out. I have a few tricks using compression on the channel that can help. You can also use one of the sustaining effects on a momentary switch if its totally necessary
Play and pray 😂🙌
we did make it!
