You gotta feel for Ballymena. They at least deserved a penalty shoot out. The ref overran his watch at the end by allowing more time than allocated by the fourth official in extra time.

How can you say they deserved a penalty shootout. If they'd held Crusaders to a draw in E.T. then certainly. But they switched off after Crues' equaliser.
Crusaders scored the winner from a free kick as a result of a foul by Ballymena at 121:16 on the clock. The referee blew for the free kick to be taken at 121:57 (it took so long because the Ballymena player showed dissent, thus causing a delay to the added time, which the referee has every right to add to stoppage time) in the attacking 3rd of the pitch. The referee cannot stop the match when an attack is forming in the attacking 3rd. McMurray scored 10 seconds later on 122:07. In other words, it is Ballymena's doing that the match ran beyond the 2 minutes stoppage time when Crusaders scored, so how can they feel hard done by? Crusaders scored 7 seconds into additional time after the 2 minutes - whereas the Ballymena player was arguing with the referee and delayed play for almost a minute.
Ballymena went to sleep at the end of normal time and were hamnered by Crusaders throughout extra time. If you can't finish a game off in 90 minutes, you can't feel hard done by when you lose in extra time.
You're clutching at straws mate. Crusaders deserved the win 🏆🔴⚫
