I don't know how many Offensive coordinators are going to work with Shedeur in a way he likes or hang out with him as he describes coach Shumur. I am not sure Coach Shumur is like that with every quarterback but given Coach Prime is Shedeur's dad/head coach and given the events with former Coach Sean Lewis, what other option does Shumur have if he wants to keep the position. Shedeur Sanders will need to learn to work in all types of coaching environments and team environments if he wants longevity as a professional player. Shedeur seems to want the ideal team, the ideal coach, the ideal play called at the ideal time, and sadly to get all of the above is quite likely few and far between.
Handing off to #17 for carry does not work well. Seems like handing off to #48, he gets through traffic then he hands off to #17 might be worth considering.
Everyone can be replaced. True. Would be nice to see some household names be encouraged to stay in the program like Wilkerson, Edwards, Mickey, etc...They already had a fan base and chemistry with the team, already proven themselves on the field, proven trustworthy with Quarterback passes. There will always be someone better or faster, but do a much better job to keep the ones with proven success records with the team and quarterback. If relationships matter so too must loyalty, particularly to players with the understanding there will be no loyalty in the NFL. College may be the last time many of these players actually play football televised. Suggestion is to Rotate the depth position to minimize or delay injury with the starters is one option. Perhaps reserve starters for more challenging competitors. If the depth has poor performance in a game will have the option to rotate with a starter as replacement . Otherwise When a starter gets injured only depth is left. Let the depth play first and reserve the starters whenever and as much as possible. This may help reduce highly skilled veteran players from going into the portal, which many may see as their only option to have time on field during the season.
The only thing I hope is that they show less practice and just surprise people on their success. Don't show too much, people can watch their practices and sometimes know what to expect and I am an amateur sports watcher and can see whats coming a mile away.
Shedeur had atleast one wouldbe sack during the Spring game....not a good sign...More work needs to be done.
