Lisa, there should also be a tiny round sticker somewhere in the cardboard that held your possum card. Don’t miss it! It was a freebie as well. And that 3 of swords might initially look shocking, but remember, it’s a possum, and I don’t see blood, so my take without reading the book yet is it’s only playing dead. ☺️
I am probably in a very small minority when I say I prefer the first edition! I definitely see how gorgeous the second edition is and I love the presentation with that black box, but I grabbed the first edition pretty late in the game when the second edition was starting to take shape because I just felt like for me it needed those lighter borders to lighten up the images. They feel so dark to me otherwise. I know, I know, SUCH an unpopular opinion! 😆
I actually agree with you. I just missed the kickstarter for the first edition, but was right onto the orders once they came available. I wouldn't quibble with a larger card, but I do really like the white borders (which is unusual for me!) and I also really like the way the first ed. is gilded. Variety makes the world go 'round!
I agree the second edition with the black borders really draw you into the artwork. Looks like a beautiful deck to do pathworking with.Thanks for comparing these editions. ✨🖤

Hi, Lisa. I first watched this vid about a year ago. I'd just gotten interested in tarot after a very long pause. I'd decided not to get this deck because of the key words, but I kept going back and forth. I just loved the illustrations. So, I ended getting it. I do have a lot of difficulty shuffling these cards, but I'm committed to working with this deck. My question - do you still work with this deck? And...can you give me some advise on shuffling the cards? I've never thought of my hands as small, but the deck seems very thick to me. Anyway, any suggestions on how I can make friends with this deck would be appreciated.
So I have seen this deck before in some walkthroughs and it wasn't my cup of tea. Actually I hesitated to click on this video cause of that. But because I love watching walkthroughs and hearing everybodies thoughts on the different decks I did watch. As expected even though this is a gorgeous deck I hadn't that " I need to have this deck" feeling. But as you read the part in the guidebook I literally started to cry. It touched my heart. So maybe there was a reason for taking a look at this deck again. Now I think it goes on my wishlist.
i think it is beautiful i love animal decks. i just might perches one. i might try to find the first addition. but it will depend on the price. i already signed up to get an email for when it is available for purchasing.

This deck is stunning and the quality is outstanding. I have the first edition. Sad, I can not connect with it. I've come to realize that animal based decks are not my thing. So, I use it as an oracle/one card draw. I just can't use it as a tarot deck and can't use it on it's own. I have to use other cards with it. And I don't like the guide book. It's too minimalist for me. The black borders are so much better. But I don't think I'll be buying it again.
