WecK0 yes and although I was on my own for most of my first 6 months, it was a good safety net for my mind. Had it not been for real and true new friends here, I wouldn’t have stayed probably.
I lived in Japan for 3 years when I was in the military. It was the first time I felt free in my own skin. I actually experienced culture shock when I moved back to America. I loved it there and miss it so much.
I have lived in China for 2 years, been to Japan, spent last year in South Korea and I personally love to hang in Philippines/ Thailand or South East Asia. You really ought to have a PLAN before you consider moving to Asia. #1 If you have a monthly pension coming to you - YOU ARE ALL SET. You can live comfortably in South East Asia on less than $1000 a month. Especially in countries like Vietnam and Cambodia where cost of living is DIRT CHEAP. $500 a month gets you a luxury condo with all the amenities. You can even buy some houses for less than $50,000 - even though you can't own the land unless it's in your Asian wife's (of that country's) name. #2 Some company's want to hire expats to train their customer service in other countries. That's a good job that can let you live in Asia. #3 If you have a large amount of money, like $1,000,000 or more, you can live in Asia for the rest of your natural life. I personally can't wait to get back to my condo in Philippines. I only return to America to manage my properties as landlord. Being here is depressing and unhealthy for me.

I would really like it if some of the interview question can focus on the visa process, finding a place to live, And wages. It has never been brought up in your interviews and I think it’s a valid question to ask if finding a place to live is difficult or not compared to America
It depends - For a standard apartment, you need proof of income (which implies that you've got a working visa). However, there are guesthouses (many are foreigner-owned) where a person essentially rents a room. For those, as long as you're paying rent, you can stay as long as you like.

I can't imagine moving to a new country I don't know with no money
Holy smokes small I actually saw this brother perform at a small spot down in NYC I had to be like 22-23 now I'm turning 31 next week lol time zooms. That IG link you have posted for him doesn't seem to work. I gotta track him down to pick his brain.
Let me have a look. I’ll update it if it’s not correct.
It’s @adrielmobo
The Black Experience Japan thank you 🙏🏾
where did you see me? that italian spot in the west village?
@@adrielwilliams Hi Adriel, This is your "Grandpa Bill" living in Argentina. What's your private email? You can see my website at . Hope to meet up with you & your Japanese Family someday and meet my great-grandson. Enjoyed the interview & your music very much. RSVP.
Wanna move to Japan from Ghana any help for me?
What type of visa does he have?We don't need foreigners except they are excellent and useful person for Japan.
Hi. I will be visiting Japan (Tokyo) for a week in October. Any travel advice or suggestions?
Don't take a "it's cuz I'm black isn't it?" victim mentality with you.
When I went, we rented a pocket wifi. It was very helpful. Also learning the language helped a lot (at least the basics).
@@hubertcumberdale2651 Much like the Chinese and jews. Be that as it may, the cream of the nigerian crop goes to the US and they do well. Kudos. Yet the less than stellar nigerians go to other parts of the world and really malign our race..If you've been to nigeria it's difficult living unless you have $ to brute force get your way..Leaders set the culture and unfortunately they siphon all nigerian wealth to transfer it to homes and bank accounts in europe
@@goutfromporkrinds9516 Nigeria's major issue is unsustainable population growth combined with an economy which just simply cannot support the numbers. Every 23 year old male in that country aspires to go to some successful white country in Europe, North America, or Australia and just add to the dispossession of the people who made those continents so successful in the first place
@@hubertcumberdale2651 Which country are you from? Those countries you listed were successful due to having fertile top soil, conquering other peoples', and entrepreneurial values...You attribute to whiteness? But what about impoverished white nations like eastern europe? E. Europe and africa fall in the too corrupt category. i won't disagree about nigeria.Too many people , too little opportunities.
Where is the Reggae scene in Tokyo omg?
My friend had visit with his girlfriend, and told me that he never wanted to come back. Some of the other friends gotten married and stayed. Lol
This guy looks like Malcom X.. Only that he's not wearing glasses and his hair is long .
Who wants to move to africa?
If you would want to which country would it be?
Just Curious
@no name no purpose, just out of curiosity.. 😒
It's a continent. You gotta be a little more specific than that.
I'd stay in my country. South Africa. ..

@@madstarr2 Thought about Nambia or sight seeing in Liberia. South Africa is always intriguing. Wanna see what Mandela talking bout. Egypt and Ethiopia for the rich history. Yea im with it.
