I've just discovered this channel and this one is my first video. I love it. Thanks for the information. I'm just beginning my tea journey and discovering how much I don't know, and how much more there is to learn. Down the rabbit hole? Tip of the iceberg? Both. There truly is a Universe to explore just within the world of tea
Thank you so much! So informative, and assisting me greatly in my gongfu tea collection, I am buying pieces one at at time as I can afford them and what appeals to me aesthetically.
Hi Elena, thanks for watching!! Yes there are portable ones that is good to travel with. In terms of which ones, that depends on numbers of people it is for. For 1-2 people treasuregreen.com/collections/tea-trays/products/big-dipper-panel-bamboo-tray made be good. bamboo light weight. but usually you grow out of it very quickly. Personally i like a lot the little round one treasuregreen.com/collections/tea-trays/products/contentment-25-bamboo-tray it holds lot more water, durable and has a carton box that has a handle to carry around. For teasets many of the small sets 2 to 3 cup and a pot all comes with a hard shell or cloth case for travelling. Super convenient! treasuregreen.com/collections/tea-sets/products/teapot-two-cup-set-with-fitted-case Hope i have answered the questions!
Does knowing Mandarin help when picking a tea? Like do the tea names mean something in English or are they mainly locations or maybe regions? Im very new to this so i apologize if its a dumb question
Your question is absolutely valid! Having knowledge of the Mandarin language can be a significant advantage when it comes to sourcing teas, especially when dealing with merchants who might rename their teas. Without this language skill, it can be extremely challenging to locate or gain a deeper understanding of the tea in question. At the very least, knowing the "Pin Yin" transliteration of the words can provide some helpful clues. So, in the world of tea sourcing, Mandarin language proficiency can be a valuable tool for ensuring you get what you're looking for and understanding the nuances of different teas.
