I remember one of the better headcanons I heard being that Lucius' curse predestines him to die in sword duels, so he lives in eternal misery as the shit duelist guy everyone beats. BUT NO. Necron lords and land mines ahoy
If Lucius is on a world that gets hit by a Gamma Ray Burst from a Black Hole that just suddenly annihilates everything on the planet… does he become the Black Hole?
If we want to be pedantic, technically, Slaanesh is the reason he was killed if you run the line far enough back and she is pride manifest. So Lucius could just become Slaanesh with enough lawyering.
If someone is responsible for the sucking (hehe) he will become the Next Lucius, if he got sucked by Accident (hehe) the Guy cousing the Accident becomes Lucius, if he sucked himself (hehe) I don't know, Lucius becomes Lucius *shrug*
Slaanesh just revivies him anyway. He has died a few times from those who have not felt pride in doing so, as a result Slaanesh just hits the respawn button.
Lucius is literally the monkey paw problem. People come up with all these ideas that they could outsmart it and then the monkey paw goes "Nuh uh, I still win." The problem is that the monkey paw is supposed to do that because that is its theme, the only way to win is not to use it. Lucius, on the other hand, just becomes annoying. Because he is not a big character, especially not in 40k. He should be dead. There are so many ways you could do it, but he is always brought back. Especially since the excuses are so blatantly 'the hand of the author'. There isn't even a comedic effect, or something else that makes up for it. Like, Ciaphas Cain would be an annoying series to read, were it not for the fact that the shit he constantly gets up to is played both for comedy and sort of the tragedy of Cain never getting a rest. Either let Lucius actually die and be done, or turn it into comedy with increasingly stupid plans to kill him and Lucius himself suffering from the absurd situations and Slaanesh never letting him go.
Especially since in newer Lore the Chaos Gods just resurrect their Favourite Champions like a High Level D&D Cleric no Strings attached, so Lucius special little Power became redundand with newer Lore. It would have been so much easier just to say "Yes that would work but it didn't happen" but now they made him the only Champion of a Chaos God who died by a stupid Landmine
The first time I heard of Lucius ability to resurrect and thought that was a cool mechanic but then I heard about what he all survived and realized he's been wharfed. The writers can throw their favourite character at it and have him die but because they want to keep both characters some real bs happens. He's supposed to be a good fighter but the amount he's lost makes me doubt that.
Actually we know what happens if he dies to a land mine! Since the worker who made the mine took pride in its construction, he respawned as that worker! The killed everyone in the factory!
I feel like people don’t grasp that Lucius has just as much plot armor as Kharn, Typhus, and Ahriman. GW isn’t going to kill off one of the Chaos God’s primary champions. The difference is, they can actually write Lucius losing and not have him be out of the setting. Really, he just suffers from the fact that writers feel like they HAVE to use his gimmick. Leading to absolutely ridiculous scenarios.
People know and are aware of how much plot armor the 4 champions have, its just none of them are as blatant and in your face about it like Lucius is Lucius makes you painfully aware of the plot armor

My head cannon is that he’s resurrected in whatever way Slannesh finds funny.

@@PierceArner At some point he's just going to rip into the real world and become one of GW's writers.
@PierceArner can..can the black hole feel pride? That’s scarier than mister sword.

That vampire hunter segment had me on the edge of my seat! “Let’s intentionally risk having horny stuff pop up on stream for no reason” 🤣
I’d forgotten about the definitely not bg3 character detective agency
Noir -Astarion- and -Shadowheart-
If he dies from being sucked out in to space. Will he possess it? Become reality itself.

I am such a huge fan of the Slaanesh lawyer idea XD
12:22 - somewhere, far in the distance, you can hear Camel by Camel is playing in the background for that first Black Friday special offer…

"These guys!"
*Fuck...*
"And no-one else!"
*Okayyy*
Thanks for the compilation Prow!

well, he is the Prince of Excess. so in this case its and Excessively convoluted plot.

someone tell tom that the necron box set is in excelsior!
Lucius the Eternal is possibly the dumbest character in 40K and that is a HUGE accomplishment.
@@Zelmel I think you might be right 😂💛
1:57 what the fuck are they talking about? Isn’t the deathwatch sourced by all the other legions?… they just reup their numbers.
