This is a nice addition to your channel Nick. Seeing these little spots that might otherwise go missed is a great look into all that is Pattaya. Keep it up!
hey nick thanks for the tour i have had many a beers in two dogs with a old ozzie mate who was staying there called darcy great memories hopefully get back there soon.
Cheers for this Nick , i stayed there in 2011 at Shagwell Mansions (now closed i think) it was probably the best of all my visits to Pattaya . I have great memories of that Soi especially the Boomarang Bar at the back of Shagwell , closed too i think. We used to hang out at Smittys bar , thanks for a trip down memory lane, 2011 was a good year. There is a nice ambience in Soi Arunatai area, its not in yer face but its still lively enough.
Great video Nick, love the way you promote the business of others. This area has definitely developed more than the last time I was there about 10 years ago.
I spend about half the year in this area. Nice area to stay close to everything but I rarely find these bars worthwhile. If heading over this way I'd say Soi Bongkrat would be the better choice. I'm stuck in the US, I enjoyed the walk around/video. Thanks
Enjoyable vlog. Thanks Nick. When I heard the 2 Dogs bar was the name given to it by the previous Australian owner. I was thinking did the Australian owner name the bar after the Aussie alcho-pop "2 Dogs alcoholic lemonade", which was all the rage in the mid nineties?
These set of vlogs are very interesting Nick.... Good to see other parts of Pattaya. A nice walk around good to see some parts doing well. Hopefully it will get to all parts. Keep em coming Nick...... so many places are being added to my to go list next year all being well !!!!!
Thanks nick another great video.thank you for your hard work again.p.s your friend in the video you were walking with when I first saw him reminded me of KEV but different accent 😌 stay safe nick .damon 👍🏽
Very nice, Nick. I stayed there for 7 weeks over 3 occasions. Just lower down from where you finished is the hotel 'Shagwell Mansions' which is a clean value for money hotel with helpful staff. Howard referred to the 'Niran' private complex immediately opposite where you finished off. There are some good bars and at least one good restaurant down there and anyone can visit for food, beers or just a look around. I used to meet my (now deceased) friend down there at 'Dar Bar'. I used Arunotai as a base and could easily get to Soi 8 etc, but most of the time I spent in my 'Village' as I called it, nice, cheap and welcoming.
My old mate Baz used to stay at Nirun for long stays of 6 months or more. I should have known this area was decent if he would stay there. Thanks for your info.
shagwell staff is so greedy. if you walk in they will try to put you in the worst garbage room. Then if you say you have more money the rooms showed get better. Been checking it out since 2005. way over rated
@@gkprivate433 I thought it was fine.Clean with air con and a place to sleep only. Most times I was out. I never even considered the price, I just paid it but my friend (deceased) who stayed in an apartment in Niran had booked it for me. It worked for me and I'd stay again if for no other reason that it was central with a motorcycle taxi rank directly opposite at the end of Niran and absolutely NO music blaring out into the small hours. It's also monger friendly. Please tell me where you stay in Arunothai, I'm keen to know :-))
good vlog. I used to love to have a wander on the odd Sois. you never know what u will find. they are often much cheaper as well and the ladies work harder. nudge nudge..
Thank you a million time ! I am very happy to see my living quarters close to life Big C Extra ! Even during the month of september i know this area much more lively My friend s French-Italian restaurant is closed
cheers Nick, love these walk about vlogs, i wonder how long it would take to have a beer in every bar in pattaya!!!!!. looks like a good soi to check out. cheers.
Not sure who that dog belongs to, if anyone. If you are in the area and you give it some fuss it seems to seek you out every time afterwards. Has a bit of a limp because got hit by a car before. I go to this area a few times a week, usually after shopping at BigC Extra
Yep I was not listening too much. I did ask the ex jockey Kiwi who the dog belongs to and he did not know just said the dog hangs around his bar which seems strange you would have thought he would know. Unless a different labrador type dog of course
Hi Nick. I am familiar with all the little Soi's off Central Road on both sides! Lots of little gems in their own rite! I know you like an Indian curry and can recommend Soi 14 further down on the other side of Central Road opposite the junction with Soi Buakhow! Great vlog, cheers, Bill.
been down that soi in the daytime ended up walking to far and got lost luckily motorbike taxi helped me back on 3rd road looks better in the evening all lit up
Not a bad little bar crawl if you want a different night out away from the usual central soi’s. You can head down Soi Arunatai as Nick did hitting those bars and then passed the Nirun Grand condos as pointed out in the vlog ( a few minutes walk away ) there’s a cut through on Soi Bong Koch 8 to where the Gentleman’s club Soi is that Nick did a previous vlog on too, link below. 3 mins 23 secs in: ruclips.net/video/V7nA7WjzPbs/видео.html It’s a good night out.
Thank you for informing video. I never know the area if you did not show. But sounds of the video is not great. Too much background noise. Still good. I enjoyed it.
NDTVi Pattaya we really appreciate them Nick ,were all down in the dumps here mate it’s a little bit of escapism for everyone of us , keep the vids coming and thanks again , take care
That was awesome, its a hidden gem, that would be a great little area to stay for a month or 2,everything in walking distance.....That was I think a tuesday night, made me feel a bit home sick for Thailand seeing all the lights and action on a weeknight. You can see why a few guys decided to be 'stuck' in Pattaya this year, more fun on a random weeknight than New Years Eve in the West.
Never even knew about this one Nick after 5 trips out there , be worth going for a night out one day as opposed to the usual suspects. ( not as many mobile phones maybe :)
Yes phil did own Valentines on soi lenkee now called the traveller's rest .Valentines was big bar then it split in two with one bar called ned kellys now shut
I like this area, id be very interested in looking at that long term, once allowed back in, ps good to see you approaching dog correct way. So many try tap them on head🤣 (not wise)
Is it really true the Thai government are not allowing those on tourists visas to renew them and they have to leave the country at the end of September
great video Nick !!!
Lol I don't think you'd ever find every little soi and every bar!! Nice to see a different area
Love these Soi walks! Thanks again for all the free content.
Nick & Howard - thanks for the tour and making us aware of the bars around 👍
Great video yes nick there great the walks cheers mate

Good vlog Nick and nice to see these other areas. They are too easy to miss unless you know about them. Look forward to more of these.
Nick, you're a pro, of sorts! Well done pal. Nice little find that Soi Arunatai.
Thanks for the walkabout Nick and Howard. Soi Arunothai looks very interesting. Nice bars and community. See you at the Assienda this Friday!
Ahh you're back! Dan's leaving party Friday you know him. 👍
Interesting walk around some of the lesser known soi's. For a Tuesday night ok. Cheers Nick!
Nice budget area for stay and bar! Good job!
Love the quieter back soi's , more my cup of tea

I’ve had a few decent sessions along there was mostly expats and long term stayers but always good and cheap.
Nice bars to relax!

It’s a good night out.
You go inside niruncondo no problem some decent bars and restaurants and the swimming pools been renovated I own legends bar but I'm stuck in the uk
Didn't go in because it's private and obviously having a camera could cause problems.
How about doing a jomtien soi walk. Great channel 😀🍹
Informative vlog again, see you live on Thursday 👍 🇹🇭
Thank you for informing video. I never know the area if you did not show. But sounds of the video is not great. Too much background noise. Still good. I enjoyed it.
The mic picks up everything I need a more directional.
That soi could be a gem when all the punters come back
Notice theres a Night Wish logo on the bottom of your screen, are you now apart of that group ?
Pre covid they sponsored this channel.
Great one Nick , you can’t beat your walk around vids always interesting, keep up the great work mare

I do it with a known local in those Soi's so I'm welcomed and they understand I am filming.

Ill give it a look .whennnn im back .next year now i hope .getting sick of moving my plane ticket .
You need to "plug" Howard's bar in your description. Couldnt understand your accent with the name of the bar, or his accent rather. More info please.
Howard doesn't even have a Facebook page.
