You seem like a descent guy dude !! Subscribed ! , I'm on the drift journey myself looking up on how to mount the rad on the rear of my E36 as i smashed it up this weekend lmao, Ill make a lil vid after I have applied your knowledge to my system to see if it works ! ! , Love from Wales , UK !
Awesome stuff. Plan on doing a rear mount on a BMW 318ti with a honda J engine. Good cheap HP for the road racing stuff. Gonna balance out the race acr. Super helpful to know how you did yours and whats important.
Working on mounting a rear mounted radiator in my audi hillchimbing racecar. Was wondering if 40 gpm is ok for a 2.2L five cylinder turbo engine or do I need more flow? Also I've heard about needing to take out the impellers on the stock pump because of water pressure build up? Any heard would be amazing.
I'd recommend running more flow. One of the general takeaways is more flow = more cooling, assuming you've got enough airflow over your radiator. I've got a 55 GPM meziere ewp on my rear mount LS3 S14 and it's been holding up with HPDE work. OEM pumps usually seem to move more than 40 gpm at mid to higher rpms.
Micah, just found your channel. Outstanding videos, lol have binged watch all of them. I'm 54yrs old retiring in Dec. 2020 from being a firefighter/paramedic and in the planning phase and R&D for my dream car build. Full custom build chassis, body of LMP1 race car without stupid "shark" fin. Donor car is the drive train from my 2014 Chrysler 300 pentastar V6. Im not looking for massive speed but the power/weight ratios will be fun. Your rear radiator mount videos sold me. I hope you will critique me during my build and become a friend. Imagine... Stock 300 morphing into a LMP1 race replica with the Chrysler 300 emblems. Keep up great work, and can you link your parts list for Phoenix cooling parts you used.
On a LS 5.3. Micah what size hose line is best and the type of fitting from water pump to fire Wall, I an 1996 E36BMW thinking of rear radiator mount too!👍🏾
did you put the schrader valve where the old steam lines were? Ive heard of guys making steam lines that come from all four corners of the motor around the intake to get the steam out of the back of the motor and avoid hot spots. Thoughts on that? Great video dude, keep em coming!
Mohammed S.Humodi no don't delete your thermostat. my idle temp on water is 180 and spike at 210. my N.A.F. isn't that good but my normal operating temp is 210 so I haven't overheated yet cause my fan is boos
I know it's a old video but I see mixed reviews on the stock ls water pump running a rear mount radiator have you ever had problems with it assuming my radiator is properly sized with fans getting sufficient airflow
@@MicahDiazthanks for the fast reply. Is there anyway to predetermine a radiator dimensions/capacity for an engine ? Or is it best to just go with OEM size/slightly larger? What size radiator do most LS "race engines" use?
Hi, I have a engine in the back of the car, so I put the radiator to the front. When I start up the engine, houses close to engine are really hot, but my radiator is still cold. Can you help me?
So I got a crazy question. I am new to this stuff. I did not even know this was a thing until I did some research. Any ways here's my crazy question. To eliminate the NAF could I rig up a power inverter and run a industrial fan? I know the main goal is light weight but if I broke down I could have some one bring power tools if needed. That's not the reason why I want to do this. I'm thinking about using an industrial fan so I wouldn't have to cut holes for the NAF. Also I'm sure a industrial fan would be more heavy than the two Fans most people use but I think it would be cheaper. I drive a lot of dirt and gravel that's why I don't want to cut a hole in the bottom and I don't want to attract attention from the highway patrol using the window things to guide air.
been watching you before the caleb plug. dope vids.i see this channel getting big. check out my channel and see what the cars in my squad look like on the Westside of fl my dude ✌
Another solid video 🍻👌🏼
Caleb Quanbeck yee thanks man!
upvoted for having a super sick intro!
These videos are actually sick, keep them up!! Whats up from Australia.
been waiting for a rear mounted radiator video. great stuff!!

Tell us more about ur suspension setup and ur motors internals. Great videos keep up the good work!
Hi Micha, greetings from the UK. I would like to see more on your angle kit and how you rate it :) Loving the videos BTW!! your car is sick!!
absolutely love your videos man keep them coming!
My man, your car is bad ass!!! I love it. Great video. Very well done and correct
Well done sir! Thanks for posting!

how would you change it if you tried to make it work on a road car, while keeping maximum trunk space?

pat powell thanks for the love man! I’ll definitely try to put something together
Seems legit!
sick dude, nice set up
what is that on your water pump? where the heater hoses go........Is that for a steam port and a plug or ?
Micah, I like the way you isolated the lines from direct passenger contact. Does it get overly hot in the car with lines in there?
On a LS 5.3. Micah what size hose line is best and the type of fitting from water pump to fire Wall, I an 1996 E36BMW thinking of rear radiator mount too!👍🏾

yes on the front steam port
Thanks Bro. Big help
Hello did you have to install a shader valve? How did you do it can you kindly do a video on it?
nice video 👍
Can u do a video on how u made them window scoops
maybe a video of advanced drifting techniques?
Elijahwon24 I like that I like that
Where did you buy the schrader valve ? Do you have a link for it ?
thanks for the video , what about the thermostat ? did you delete it ? and what about your temp range ?
Mohammed S.Humodi no don't delete your thermostat. my idle temp on water is 180 and spike at 210. my N.A.F. isn't that good but my normal operating temp is 210 so I haven't overheated yet cause my fan is boos
sounds good , i am also orderd EWP electrical water pump with 115 gpm
Any tips for getting sponsors? ( how to get free parts lol)
call it the "Micah Why?" volume 1,2,...
Kyle Rus hahaha I like that
nice keep it up bro.. 😎
Doing a 302 swap why did u decide to go ls after the 302 what was the major down falls?
What size hard piping and hoses? Where did you purchase them? Do you know approximate amount hard pipe you used ? Thanks!
This video has given me the confidence to ruin my 07 Silverado hahaha
What size is the lines you used? 1in aluminum tubing ? 1 1/4", 1-1/2"
Hey dude ! How did you make the air ducts?
Home depot - dryer vent duct.
Micah micah micah......what kind of fan are you running on the radiator??? ;)
Is that a Lincoln mark viii? If so which year Mk8?
man ur vids are amazing wtf!!! is wrong with viewers u deserve 200000 subs min keep up the gd work bro👍
First Last aw shucks thank you man!
Hey mate do u still use stock thermostat ? Cos ya using stock pump. I'm looking at doing the same thing on my LS r32
What psi radiator car do you run and what thermostat?
I know it's a old video but I see mixed reviews on the stock ls water pump running a rear mount radiator have you ever had problems with it assuming my radiator is properly sized with fans getting sufficient airflow
those lines being so near the header through the bay doesn't cause an issue?
Hey Micah I know this is old but what piping is that? Aluminum or?
My radiator is not the high point. Where should I plumb a fill point up front for an ls?
5years later only learning now 😂
thank you
Weight reduction on your e36, and the suspension setup...
Great video!!! How did you determine what size radiator to use?
Based off the fan
@@MicahDiazthanks for the fast reply. Is there anyway to predetermine a radiator dimensions/capacity for an engine ? Or is it best to just go with OEM size/slightly larger? What size radiator do most LS "race engines" use?
@@tikomichael I just went with bigger then stock but mainly what fit the big fan shroud and never looked back
What material did you use for your radiator piping?
Is that just aluminum pipe that you used?
Remote radniator on f650... Back of door chassis height..anu opinion..want customiz hood..
needa rida radi
what kind of ducting did you use for the quarter windows?
So what happens if you’re adulting this and you come across rain? Does it drain into your car or did you drill out drain holes in the floor panels?
Joshua Leo the floor of the trunk is cut out...if that’s the area you’re describing

Hi, I have a engine in the back of the car, so I put the radiator to the front. When I start up the engine, houses close to engine are really hot, but my radiator is still cold. Can you help me?
thats because your thermostat hasnt opened yet. You can get a thermostat that opens at a lower temp to help.
Did you keep the thermostat?
What type of pipe do you use for the lines
Hmm I looked up how to relocate your radiator, saw the LS motor I clicked like.

I don’t
