Victoria contundente. Los locales mantuvieron la intensidad, mientras que los visitantes no consiguieron mantener el nivel mostrado en la primera parte.
El Leganés tuvo su mejor versión en el primer tiempo, gozando de sus acciones más claras en todo el partido, abriendo el marcador y demostrando un buen nivel defensivo. Pero el Atlético ya había avisado, y en el segundo tiempo rápidamente tomó el control de las acciones, tras mucha insistencia finalmente se topó con el empate pasada la hora de juego y no tardó mucho en remontar; en el último suspiro, liquidó por completo el partido. Una victoria importante para el equipo del Cholo que se repone de los últimos dos empates, se mantiene invicto tras 10 jornadas y sigue mostrando ese nivel tan sólido en casa.
