Some friendships transcend lifetimes. In A Dog’s Journey, the sequel to the heartwarming global hit A Dog’s Purpose, beloved dog Bailey finds his new destiny and forms an unbreakable bond that will lead him, and the people he loves, to places they never imagined.
Bailey (voiced again by Josh Gad) is living the good life on the Michigan farm of his “boy,” Ethan (Dennis Quaid) and Ethan’s wife Hannah (Marg Helgenberger). He even has a new playmate: Ethan and Hannah’s baby granddaughter, CJ. The problem is that CJ’s mom, Gloria (Betty Gilpin), decides to take CJ away. As Bailey’s soul prepares to leave this life for a new one, he makes a promise to Ethan to find CJ and protect her at any cost.
Thus begins Bailey’s adventure through multiple lives filled with love, friendship and devotion as he, CJ (Kathryn Prescott), and CJ’s best friend Trent (Henry Lau) experience joy and heartbreak, music and laughter, and few really good belly rubs.

“When you come back, take care of Cj. She needs you like I needed you.” That sentence honestly makes me cry every time, it’s so moving, and when you see Cj with Molly/Bailey under her blanket in her bedroom it’s emotional because in the first movie, that’s exactly what Ethan did with Bailey. I like to think that our pets come back to us when they leave. Just like the song by Phillip Phillips. “I love you long after you’re gone, gone, gone...” ❤️

My pet did my black and white smooth coated fox terrier came back to me was telling a friend they were excited telling omg ange watch this movie and blew me away im like oohh my that happened to me was shocked. His love was so deep for me his here now a 3 month old puppy cute as asleep on my bed but its him reincarnated back, so can tell you this movie is true😍
Someone once said "give a dog your heart and it'll give you it's in return and want nothing more" and I think these movies and books do a great job of showing how true this is.

I 've watched this movie more than 10 times on TV. Also I have watched this movie many times on You tube. It's really a sad movie and its very beautiful. I cried every time I watched that movie. Also I cried a lot during the last part of the movie. But I was glad to finally see him live in a good place. This movie proved that animals understand emotions better than humans. No matter how many times I watched this,I did not get bored. It's such a beautiful movie. ❤️

not always but maybe i remember crying watching the trailer for 2015 movie Max(another dog movie) and saw the movie at home when was out on on demand. it wasn't that sad was a really good cute dog adventure. i only teared up a little like maybe 2 times watching that movie. but oh and take a look at trailer for marley and me ok that so misleading right thought be this cute funny dog fam film it was only slightly funny cute but heartbreaking it took me almost 2 years to give a dog's purpose movie a chance and i loved it. trailers can be so misleading.i read the book for this one it was good but had me bawling so hoping this will be bit watered down from book. and good idea stay away from book or read it after see this movie
I’ve read both a dog’s purpose and a dog’s journey. A Dog’s Purpose was a bit different in the book rather than the movie. Some different events occurred throughout but it was great. Based on the trailer so far, this movie seems a bit more connected to the book than the last one. Trust me this movie is gonna be worth seeing

I'm here for both lol. I'm originally here for the movie since I loved the first one, when I found out that Henry Lau is in it, I got even more excited. Henry Lau btw is a Chinese-Canadian actor, musician and singer/artist. He currently is a solo artist, about a year ago though he had been a part of a popular South Korean boy group, known as Super Junior. He also speaks five languages (English, Cantonese, Mandarin, French, Korean). oh, and did I mention that he's also really cute? ;)

When you pretty much cry when watching a freaking 3 minute trailer, you know the movie is gonna be special, and it really was. Dogs are such pure and beautiful creatures, we people don't deserve them! 💗💗💗
Easily one of the best movies I have ever seen, highly recommend. I am a teenager who has the dog and who had the dog, I cried at the end not only because of a story, because I remembered how I was happy with my dog that passed away and how that day was probably one of the hardest in my life.

When I watch movie and the misses usually like heart felt films, I don’t get teary easily on films. But this film broke my heart many many times! It reminded me of my dog Rosie. Who passed away many years ago. She died of cancer. Anyways this is my favourite dog film ever! I’ve seen a lot of dog like film but this one hits the heart!

1 year ago I lost my best friend.... There's no one day I don't miss that dog...... he was everything to me, and watching this makes me cry a river.... These creatures are just way too much love and company for us... They are just in another level of blessed.

My fur baby Remedy just passed away on April 3rd of this year.. I had her 11 great years and when she made her journey over the rainbow bridge I haven't known what to do with myself, I've cried everyday. She was my best friend, but even through the tears watching this movie made me feel so much better. I hope she's out there making someone else's life as amazing as she did mine!

I've watched this movie several times now and every time I get watery eyes, and that never happens with any other movie. It's just such a beautiful and sweet movie with an amazing cast. I really love Kathryn Prescott in this.

I absolutely adored this movie, in my opinion feel good movies like this deserve just as much attention as all the big blockbusters.
James Dean absolutely agree James. A film like this proves you don't have to spend over $ 100 million and have loads of special effects. This is one of my favourite films this year together with Instant Family
don't listen to the critics listen to audience reviews and score which was higher at least on rottentomatoes audience score was higher. i don't trust critics these days i look at trailers and other's thoughts and go and see if i think i want to and then form my own opinions i mean movies are not cheap to go to but seeing something that got bad review may surprise you and be worth it. i am glad i saw the movie and i wish had the money and transportation to go again. tears and all

@@superblijheid for me though still teary sniffly(always leaves me like that for hr after i cry)the end was beautiful(tears of joy) and def left me feeling warm inside and a smile on my face there were a couple of scenes where i was bawling it's not depressing but some heartache but believe me if you have seen a dog's purpose you should like this one. cute dogs and some laughs seriously altogether more heartwarming than anything. but you will need tissues. if you haven't seen a dog's purpose i would suggest seeing that first( i cried too ending was also tears of joy). its really not just about dogs it's full of love.also it is probably best you read a dog's journey too it was a good book but more sad parts i cried harder reading. it is a family movie for most part. like 8 and up.i want to see it again myself but will probably wait til streaming.

My dog that I had since I was 7 passed away yesterday morning. His name was Buddy Love and I'm really excited to see this movie. I already watched A Dogs Purpose and loved it. It made me feel so much better. With the little strength Buddy had left he came in my room and fell down. I gave him my pillow and blankets. Buddy was my world and I feel so guilty because I didn't know what to do. I stood next to him trying to keep myself together. I told him if he goes to heaven there will be a big bed that he can lay on and he can eat whatever he wants and he can run in a field with Sadie. (My stepmoms dog that sadly got hit by a car) and he can look down on us anytime he wants and then I told him if he get's reborn I hope he has the best life with love and laughter. And then I brought up our amazing journey that we had together. As I'm typing I'm crying. He was always there for me when I was sad, Lonley or angry. I love you so much Buddy Love. I'm so sorry you had to suffer but I hope that you're in a better place now. And I pray that you can hear me when I need you. We love all love and miss you and we will forever keep you in our hearts and I'll think about you everyday of my life.
