I just had a meme come to me, in the Drake No/Yes Template: People when asked to play a board game: "No way man!" People when asked to play that same board game as a video game: "Now that's what I'm talkin' about!"
Any turtling strategy depends on the other players whether they are agressive and they will do the dirty work for you or they will get a better continent and turtle in it as well. In that case everyone will just keep building armies endlessly and the game will go on for hours and eventually you'll be the smallest army . Need your thoughts on this and how to win in this scenario
I don't know, I guess it's nothing up to you to do something if you're one of the weakest players. So probably it's the best to continue turtling. Usually in these kind of games either someone disconnects or some strong players eventually take some of the weakest players out. So if you play with high rank players, and especially if it's 6 player game, then it's better not to be one of the weakest players if possible, it's better to try increasing your troops advantage rather than turtling... In the beginning of the game, make an alliance with all of the players and go for North America or Europe rather than small continents, or if you got South America, then try getting Africa as well, or expand to NA. Not sure if it helps to you, but at least I tried

You play so passively ! I definitely would have gotten my big army out in Africa and started grinding some cards once orange stupidly attacked green. Few chances green would have attacked south america given how the game was unfolding
I experienced instances in which I was surrounded by a North American player desiring to take South America from me and an African player garding his borders like crazy finally I got crushed by the North American player as he had a major troups advantage and I could not escape. I learned that sitting in South America while every player except the North American is being passive can be deadly
Hey! At 5:51 why didnt you add some troops to your land in Asia? You can get card every turn this way and get maybe more troops as well. Please answer im really wondering.
Because the orange player was going for Asia while the green player had North America, so I wanted them to balance each other and fight. If I had added some troops to Asia, then they would have been wiped out by orange anyways. Or if I had added a lot of troops, then they either would have been wiped out as well, or the orange player would have changed his mind and started turtling in Australia, instead of fighting green. I saw (predicted) that these players will be fighting each other so I wanted to let them to, without getting involved myself, and that worked out :)

Today I tried this but than the strong Australien and Asian player cleared my territories in Asia and Europe: The player who tried to capture North America counterattacked my when I tried to move to Asia this way. The African player was my allie... The problem about that is that the Australian and Asian Player was a lot stronger but no one wanted to attack him
Yesterday I got an alliance with a green player and the only player he ended up attacking was me. First for territories to get a continent, later toget another continent at the expense of me and even later he even invaded my continent. Other players (five in total) were struggling with each other while I granted the other guy pole position. Never saw an “ally” like that one before. I tried other players to win, but as I felt those were fighting too much with eachother that guy got an easy win. I guess bedtime got early yesterday. The game is fun with good allies, but eventually you have to fight each other for either first or second place

This reminds me of when I was playing with my friends, they aren’t very good so I have to play differently than usual. But one of my friends had both north and South America with more troops than I did and another friend. He should’ve won but because he is terrible and my friend and I teamed up we weakened him. I ended up winning because my friend I teamed with had to go.
I would have still continued putting all of my troops to Peru territory, even if South America were invaded. 2 extra troops don't really mean much anyway. I would have continued being neutral and I wouldn't have attacked anyone. Eventually they would have still started fighting each other, as there's no reason to attack the player who doesn't have any continent, and I mean how would you even attack that player who only puts his troops into big army. Well, if the green player had captured Europe the purple player letting him hold it, then I would have invaded green into North America leaving my biggest army on Central America territory so the green player wouldn't have the ability to re-capture it and at the same time the purple player would be discouraged of capturing South America. So with green having Europe and with purple having Africa + Australia, the game would have still been balanced, I would have still continued building my troops into one big army, just in Central America territory, and waiting till they eventually start fighting each other
@@Risk4Ever There's a reason to attack a player who doesn't have a continent if they're the strongest. If I saw you sitting there just building up troops I would absolutely attack you. Better sooner than later when you've built up to unbeatable strength.
That's tough... Well, you could try properly guarding SA, I noticed that some players attack you when you don't guard, but after you start guarding then they do not invade you anymore, but that could be risky of course, they could still try invading you, so you will lose a lot of troops. Well, probably the best decision in this situation would be to abandon SA (as one of these players eventually might want to take it from you at the same time taking you out) moving to a neutral place where you know nobody is going to attack you (like starting building a big army in Asia for example), but yeah, the thing is that it can be impossible to move out of SA, so if you're stuck here, then you cannot really do anything I guess, just wait and hope for the best...

Could be few different reasons: 1) the game you played was unranked 2) the rank wasn't updated immediately, sometimes it could take some minutes/hours for your rank to get updated (if you press on the leaderboard, then sometimes it will solve the problem, if not then just wait for some more time to see if your rank gets updated), more info about delays here: smgstudio.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/11000025021-how-is-my-risk-rank-calculated- 3) It can be a bug, if after making sure that the games you play are ranked, you still don't move up/down any positions after winning/losing, then it would be worth to contact the developers: smgstudio.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new
this works until you get someone like me who will go in and weaken you so much that the next player can take you out. If in a game you've disadvantaged me then I just might do that to you. This is no different to going in Australia and slowly spreading out.
could you explain how can some players play second turn after defeated some other player? I'm destroying an enemy but game doesn't give second turn chance to me. the others can use cards that they gained from defeated enemy and deploy a lot army in that turn. you are doing great job, thanks for your effort btw
Thanks! If after taking a player out, you have 5 or more cards in total, then you're automatically forced to trade in a set, and the timer automatically resets by 30 seconds. And when you take a player out when your cards plus your opponents cards you just got combined don't make 5 or more cards in total, then the timer won't reset and you won't be able to trade in a set in the same turn

How often do you guys run into cheaters on SMG RISK? If I don't create the game myself I find that about 50% of the time one player is using multiple accounts.
Nemesis Highlights TV I’ve found it’s usually a high ranked player that also has a low ranked account. Anytime I play a game that has an Expert or higher I watch very closely how they interact with lower ranked players.

As a grandmaster player now, I've realized that the intermediates are really aggressive players, experts are metholic and masters just are to cocky so they go hard into spots. Novice players will often time just suicide their troops and be taken out within seconds by the beginners and inters. But overall if you host a game make sure it's like 3 of the same rank or it will be lopsided. Even as a grandmaster. It's alot easier to fend off and turtle against 3 of the same rank than let a higher rank player come and fuck up the noob and putting you in a 3 continent vs. 1 type of situation. One of the 2 reasons why I only play cap conquest

I've played and beaten plenty of masters and a few grandmasters. They don't seem any better at the game, they just are more concerned about rankings than most players and thus seem to have a higher percentage of cheaters with those ranks. I've actually just about stopped playing just because of the rampant cheating. I haven't played in a couple of weeks and probably won't for a while. I'm also tired of hearing SMG's excuses. I reported two cheaters, they teamed up on me and then after they finished me one of them let the other finish him off, didn't even fight back, just sat there fortifying until his partner took over the world and finished him off. SMG reported back to me regarding my ticket and said that it had been two friends who "didn't realize it was against the rules" to team up like that and then have one player wipe out the other. A total load of bullshit. I went back and forth with the SMG rep because when players are caught cheating it should be an automatic ban but they got off with a warning. It pisses me off because I paid the 7-8 bucks for the game and it's basically unplayable because of the cheating.
I have a question when ever u alliance with multiple people do they see the other people u alliance with and also I’m stuck at novice and beginner because these other stupid beginners attack me when they should be attacking the stronger player or they attack me leaving us both open to another player. U have helped me a lot but it’s still pretty hard to rank up with all these other people not playing smart and keeping a balance to the game.
1) No, they don't see which players you're allied with, and at the same time you don't see which players your allies are allied with as well. 2) I'd recommend you to try finding the lobbies with higher rank players, it can be bizarre to play with other beginners and novices as they don't know how to properly play at all, so often you can lose because of their mistakes. So probably the best tip I can give, is to try finding the lobbies with higher rank players 👍
Australia is best, then South America, then North America, then Africa . If you cant get one of those it will be rough and you will have to do a lot of work lol.

I'm also tired of hearing SMG's excuses. I reported two cheaters, they teamed up on me and then after they finished me one of them let the other finish him off, didn't even fight back, just sat there fortifying until his partner took over the world and finished him off.
SMG reported back to me regarding my ticket and said that it had been two friends who "didn't realize it was against the rules" to team up like that and then have one player wipe out the other.
A total load of bullshit. I went back and forth with the SMG rep because when players are caught cheating it should be an automatic ban but they got off with a warning.
It pisses me off because I paid the 7-8 bucks for the game and it's basically unplayable because of the cheating.

I have a question when ever u alliance with multiple people do they see the other people u alliance with and also I’m stuck at novice and beginner because these other stupid beginners attack me when they should be attacking the stronger player or they attack me leaving us both open to another player. U have helped me a lot but it’s still pretty hard to rank up with all these other people not playing smart and keeping a balance to the game.
1) No, they don't see which players you're allied with, and at the same time you don't see which players your allies are allied with as well. 2) I'd recommend you to try finding the lobbies with higher rank players, it can be bizarre to play with other beginners and novices as they don't know how to properly play at all, so often you can lose because of their mistakes. So probably the best tip I can give, is to try finding the lobbies with higher rank players 👍

Australia is best, then South America, then North America, then Africa . If you cant get one of those it will be rough and you will have to do a lot of work lol.
