i believe this video is a gem!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for the feedback!
Holy Smoke! I learned more in the first five minutes of trhis video then I have in a month!
I really loved "the sermon" part. We don't hear that bit enough. Really glad you touched on those fundamentals, the real reasons we're doing this in the first place. it can easily get lost in the mix.
Hi @karykev55 Thanks for the comment and I agree, it's sometimes easy to just think about tone and what I'm playing and the songs that we're doing that we forget the ultimate reason for all of it. Thanks for watching.
Another great lesson. And great encouragement, too. Much thanks!
Thanks for watching the video. Always a pleasure.
Brother this was amazingly helpful in learning to use the fretboard. You are truly great and very helpful. Thanks for sharing your wonderful gift with the world.

So great to hear that and you're welcome!
Wow! Thanks for sharing this amazing video, I can learn a lot from this.
You're welcome!
Hey, where can we have your Kemper presets for our Church please ?
I use the praises(be lifted up) patch from Tone Junkie. They make really good patches, you should check them out.
Hey Charl, when trying to purchase the lifetime access, it's showing as $147 even though the button I clicked on says $67.
Has the offer expired or is this a bug?
Hi. Yes the offer unfortunately expired. We just need to change what it says about $67.
do you have Fretboard Freedom in minor key? thanks
dude love your guitar tone. i see your running a kemper? you wouldnt happen to have that tone for a boss katana would you?
Thank you! Unfortunately not at this time.
20:40 I am confused by the fact that the 6 and 4 are the exact same notes. How is that possible?
Great observation.
The 6 chord is Am and the notes in Am is ACE.
The 4 chord is F and the notes in F is FAC.
As you can see those two different chords share two of the same notes namely A and C.
So that's why I can play that diad chord shape with A and C and leave it the same for both chords because the shared notes are the same.
The main thing to get here is that while the notes are the same between the different chords, the function of the notes change when the chords change.
A is the root note when played over Am but it's the 3rd when played over F.
C is the minor 3rd when played over Am but it's the 5th when played over F.
Once you start seeing these connections between chords it stars to open up a lot of new possibilities.
@@WorshipGuitarSkills so if I understand that correctly, some other instrument is playing the missing note from the triad that leads us to recognize a chord change? I hope that makes sense. Thank you for the awesome video!
Hi meester. Gooi note! BLH&R
Dankie Michael!
For a biginner learning i think u should play the chords much slower please if u dont mind thanks
We'll keep that in mind for our future videos, thanks.
Ha ha ha, most of the plane needs to be in the upper range if you’re gonna poke through it all because the middle and bottom range is generally covered really well by peoples voices, keyboard and even base
