I was lucky enough to have seen this interview with Robert Osborne & the wonderful Jane Powel at The Music Box theater . And I never thought I would see this again . Thank you so MUCH for posting this .
I love `A Date with Judy`. I remember I had just screened it in Astoria at the temporary MOMA screening rooms. On my way back to town I was on the 57th Street crosstown bus when it stopped. And there was Jane Powell I think at the stop off Fifth Avenue. I bolted off and shouted `My G-d I have just finished watching you in `A Date with Judy`. How surreal it was`
an Iconic era celebrated on lovely magical evenings, living in Los Angeles, I enjoy my share of them; . beware those obsessed with it.. who would otherwise have no place else go at night...
My,My what a gal. Great interview with Jane Powell. I also grew up watching 7 Brides for 7 Brothers. 60 years later, it's still a completely wonderful movie, my #1 favorite movie of all time.. I have the DVD, and Jane Powell still one of my favorites. It had a great cast, great dancing, great songs, 👍😀, I miss the Golden Age of Hollywood Musicals, alot by MGM. WOW!!!!
I saw Jane as the Queen in "Cinderella" at New York City Opera, with George Irving as the King, Crista Moore in the title role and Jean Stapleton as the Stepmother.
What a wonderful sense of humor Miss Powell had! I miss both her and Mr. Osborne a lot. ❤ 🌟
