A decision which literally anyone with a brain could have seen coming, given Gojo's entire character archetype, and the fact that if he didn't lose then the story would have been over (as Gojo canonically would have shitstomped every other villain by himself relatively easily). Lmao.
Gojo fangirls are bizarre. They straight up just wanted their Daddy Gojo to be cool and beat everyone, while every other character was a cheerleader, and for that to be the big climax to the story. Weirdo's.

Now that Buggy announced that Cross Guild will also search for one piece, i think Buggy will appear at final clash between Blackbeard and Shanks too. Would be extremely funny if he would be the only one left at this island and public will give him all the credits for defeating Shanks/BB. Also, Mihawk meeting Shanks could reveal their past.
Also, Buggy "winning" may as well be the "unexpected outcome" Oda hinted, because this outcome will be "real" in terms of One Piece universe for the public eye

I would like to see a battle between Shanks and BB before the Strawhats make it to Elbaf. It would really change up my idea of how the plot would go.
I was expecting more so the God Knights (or at least some of them) end up being the villains of Elbaf. I hope to see all four current Yonko alive by the time the location of the 4th poneglyph is actually revealed, as I truly believe it being moved was a plan setup by Whitebeard and whomever the Man Marked by Flames may be.

I always theorized that the darkness fruit can absorb haki if you use it on a higher level (perhaps awakening)

@@homiixide and on top of that I think there's a further connection devil fruits have with haiki. Just as conq haiki is needed to imbue a sword with a soul and make it a black blade, I think devil fruits require haiki being imbued into a fruit or the Adam or Eve tree to be born. I think the people in the void century and particularly Joy Boy who has been theorized to have been a botanist had people impart their will into the future by creating a soul using their own haiki that can inhabit things like a fruit. In this way dreams never die in the cycle of death and rebirth. Maybe basic haiki is needed to make a fruit at all, while advanced haiki is needed for zoans. And conqueror's haiki is needed to give a mythical zoan fruit a soul.

Since Blackbeard is a sneaky dude. I think he would wait til shanks and Luffy end up at the one piece exact location at the same time. Then challenges them both to a battle. Mid battle fakeout with the 1p shanks notices first b4 Luffy. S&B duke it out 1 on 1 b4 Luffy notices while the 2 are at the climax. Just 4 Luffy 2 witness first hand which 1 falls. Etc etc
so if there's a fruit that can take away powers, doesn't that mean that there's a fruit that can give powers?.......

The biggest plot twist would be if Blackbeard never had a secret zoan devil fruit to begin with. Instead he has a Siamese twin
Random thought: what if DFs can eat other DFs? And the yami yami is a zoan fruit that’s eaten a logia. Which is why it behaves completely unlike other logia.
I can see a weird guy like BB with a weird body that uses unconventional tactics to ascend the later intentionally seeking an unconventional fruit. And maybe like the nika fruit, bb’s has unique properties that he hides. But unlike luffy, who thought his fruit was the gomu gomu, bb knew from the start that the Yami Yami was a fake name and perhaps he knew exactly what it was.
This could also be hinted at since although BB claims he has a logia, he also said his fruit “chose” him and we now know zoans seem to have a roll of their own. Maybe that will is what causes something the ability to consume others…much like bb said darkness consumes everything. 🤔🤔🤔

I strongly suspect that Shanks was injured by a Zoan devil fruit Blackbeard ate when he was a child (especially since Shanks has 3 scars and Blackbeard’s Wolverine claws have more than 3 blades). I also put stock into the idea that he’s either some sort of anomaly or experiment and has 3 souls or 3 personas, or 3 bodies in one and that this Zoan fruit is his original devil fruit. Either his Zoan fruit is why he doesn’t asleep or it has to do with what many people speculate are his extra souls switching with him so his “original self” can sleep while they’re awake…think of like how in part 1 Naruto whenever Gaara would sleep his inner demon would take over (and hell we know Oda and Kishimoto are friends and Sanji was going to be “Naruto,” BB will definitely have a tragic backstory like Gaara and we can see him looking sad with the moon in the background and Gaara’s tragic backstory was revealed in the “Assassin of the Moonlit Night” episode). I definitely want to see more of Blackbeard and his crew in action since they’re the most interesting thing about OP to me currently.

I dislike the theory for a few reasons:
I despise the idea that Blackbeard will have 3 fruits, it's too broken and honestly the third fruit won't have the buildup him getting the Gura Gura had so it would fee cheap as well.
Also the idea that Blackbeard ate a zoan devil fruit before the Yami Yami is so weird because how did not one person notice that?
Why a devil fruit having a personality is unprecedented and doesn't make sense given how not even Vegapunk has noticed that.
Also there's no way no one didn't know he had a devil fruit already when you can't swim the moment you get one and Blackbeard was on a ship damn near his entire life with the same people for over 20 years and he hasn't tried swimming once.
Why would he wear claws if he already has a zoan ?

blackbeard already had his claws as a teenager in whitebeard's crew. he is seen with them on the same battlefield as kid shanks when roger and prime wb clashed in a flashback in wano arc.

I think it makes the most sense for luffy and friends to head towards elbaph, shanks meets up with blackbeard and fights him and loses and gets brought back to pirate island so that blackbeard can use shanks, and garp as baits for luffy because he wants to steal Luffys fruit to finish his trio of fruits being the darkness fruit, the quake fruit, and to top it all the Nika fruit.
So we'll get another fast paced arc at elbaph like egghead and luffy will leave elbaph to go rescue shanks and garp. Maybe it happens at the next island and not pirate island though, that way he can steal all poneglyph copies and head straight to laugh tale.

Watching the latest anime episode, bb definitely trains haki in those timeskip. He freakin tanked an s-hawk attack directly, he had enough will power to not get turned into stone and, he is either fast enough to get close to Boa/ react fast enough if Boa is the one who attacked.

Luffy is between Shanks and BB, as he dreams like BB and Shanks following this date orders of his captain and how Luffy cares for his friend's shanks and bb crew is united just because of a common goal and thus luffy can do what joyboy was unable to do in the past, he has everything haki and devil fruit but most importantly his power of influencing and making friends

You make a lot of solid arguments here, but man seeing luffy encounter a dying shanks and him acknowledging luffy as he dies would be soul crushing. This series continues to be the goat.
The only way teech can win is if he’ll jump with his whole team on solo shanks or uses his shapeshifter woman to trick him. I understand that bb somehow left him with a scar but right now shanks is like the epitome of haki level. Bb needs his third fruit even to have a chance to fight. The idea of the Davy back fight now makes me wanna see gear 5 luffy vs crocodile, I think it would be hilarious because how ridiculous gear 5 is and how crocodile got beat by base luffy so his reaction would be priceless
A quick reminder, that we have already seen a fight where a Yonko got defeated through the use of devil fruit powers and no haki. Another reminder, that for the sake of plot convenience Oda is more than willing to "forget" a lot of things he has established himself and when it's not an option, offscreen even the most monumental and important fights.
Tbf ... Kaido was the only one that said haki trumps DFs Just to be beaten by a DF awakening little later on so take his statement with a grain of salt and don't take it for a granted fact

Nice theory, but personally there's one more thing to consider, the govt. Blackbeard must be the last boss, because there's no setup or story for Imu being the last. Due to real world time constraints, I'm sure it will be battle royal in the end… but if you kill/defeat Blackbeard before Imu, I'm selling my house and betting on Blackbeard resurrecting or finding a senzu bean.

So if the holy knights weren't enough to stop xebec, I'm guessing it might make sense that he somehow has some sort of advantage against celestial dragons - he does have the "enemy of the gods" D in his name after all.
If teach somehow inherited or uncovered this advantage xebec had, that could explain how he was able to scar shanks, who we now know is of noble lineage. If that's the case it would seem shanks stands no chance against black beard, so unless a crewmate can take him out (which honestly they kinda should be able to considering beckmen scares kizaru)...

I'm calling out an overlook detail here. [Blackbeard + Sleep = Alter Ego(s)] is as equivalent as [Cavendish (Dressrosa) + Sleep = Alter Ego] Is it possible for specific people or race to receive an extra soul within one body. The way Hakuba almost killed Rebecca, has to be looked into. Dak's Sake mentioned a very interesting indication which Blackbeard probably fell asleep in front of Shanks and his Alter Ego was the one that scarred Shanks (by surprise). Hmm.....Very interesting.
Power-wise, Blackbeard still feels weaker than Shanks, but BB's undermining tactics is what probably even the playing field.
I personally believe if BB wins it's by trickery/Hacks only. Even now in the story, Shanks is way too powerful for BB to just straight-up 1v1.

I loved the video. Theories are also good. This just came to my mind. What if the battle of Shanks and Black Beard ends with Black Beard losing. Afterwards he runs away. So that when Luffy ends up fighting against Emu and the Five Elders. Black Beard shows up and instead of Luffy finishing Emu. Its Black Beard and he steals his devil fruit. And then Shanks comes to aid Luffy. And they have a battle with Black Beard. And after Shanks sacrifices himself for Luffy. Luffy defeats Black Beard and then pursues the One Piece. Afterwards he unites the whole world as the a true King.
I have a small mini theory on how this fight will go.
When shanks eventually clashes with Blackbeard. Kid will return and actually attack and destory the pirates as shanks and co are busy. This will lead to a spiral of shanks crew beginning to lose ground and eventually Blackbeard wins.
This would be satisfying to many for shanks fans to say he only lost due to his kind heart. Kid fans to get the run back and Blackbeard fans to enjoy the fact he takes every opportunity to win and uses it.

On Black Beard vs Luffy: I think the prison training in Wano will be the reason Luffy beats BB. Most fruit users utilize their powers to a crazy extent and rely upon them, same with Haki users. Most fruit users are caught unaware and weak when Teach takes their powers away. Luffy and Kid learned this in Wano and both decided that it would not become a weakness, so they trained their bodies to be strong without the crutches of powers or Haki. When Luffy loses his powers in the fight, Teach is gonna monologue about him being weak and such, then Luffy will smile. It's gonna be sick

5:00 Why would Blackbeard fight Shanks or Akainu+Marines at that? What he would gain from those battles? Teach only fights battles that he can gain something from, fighting Marines or Shanks wouldn't benefit him at that time. If he wanted he would fight as he did vs Sengoku+Garp or Whitebeard.
They might fight but it will definetly be for different reasons. People think shanks is a good guy but at the moment he went and spoke casually with the elders, giving them information it was obvious to me that he is evil. he has to be related to imu, i actually think it is a clone of some sort of imu herself. they planted shanks in the box for gold roger for two reasons - one is to learn/copy from roger (as he can literally use his abilities) to be a useful tool - two to keep an eye on teach or guide him the right way, the way imu wants him to go (same thing with luffy). because at this point you can tell blackbeard is some sort of catalyst being the only one with 2 devil fruits. if you just think for one moment shanks could have literally killed blackbeard at any point before and especially at the war. we saw how strong shanks is. he can literally disable devil fruit powers with his haki. why was everyone afraid of them at the war? because him and his crew could have literally killed everybody. kaido's words kind of make sense. why havent they killed him? because they need him and dont see him as a threat. at the end i already know its gonna turn out that imu and the other 19 monarchs were actual aliens from another planet (where the devil fruits come from) who probably were abandoned by their race/or they escaped. there will be alot of mindfuckery with time and the void century. at the very end imu needs blackbeard and luffy to fight to achieve something, maybe to gain something from blackbeard, maybe something powerful like awakening his special power that only he/ his lineage can do (as one of the elders literally called blackbeards lineage "special") - to then take that from him. probably her reasoning for that will be to combat her old race or something? imu probably had two individuals with the same powers fight 800 years ago but something went wrong and they wiped out the whole planet? i havent figured out the end completly but i imagine it will be something similar where imu takes that power from blackbeard but then luffy somehow beats imu. it will be similar to naruto where it started with a bunch of ninjas in villages, and ended with aliens. thats just my theory
This is what im thinking.. shanks could have killed black beard whenever he wanted to even during marine ford or before it but he never did and we very much know shanks is not behind power he doesn't want to be stronger.. it makes sense for him to kill Blackbeard then and there since he was also worried about ace and told teach is Dangerous to whitebeard

Totally off topic, but this just came to mind for some reason; Regarding Wano, The Big Mom Pirates/Beast Pirates Alliance, I remember Perospero being shocked that there was an alliance in the first place. I mean like, Big Mom and Kaido announced this straight after their battle concluded, many, many days before the raid. Big Mom first arrived with her crew, and yeah, she got Amnesia - But she should've remembered that her crew was still out there. Why didn't she tell Kaido where her crew were? Why didn't she just fucking hitch a ride with Kaido in his Zoan-form down to wherever her crew were, inform them of the Alliance, and pick them up? And why didn't any of the navy ships that arrived at Wano bump into the Big Mom Pirates? What even happened with them after Marco kicked them down the waterfall?
I might just be dumb and have a piss poor memory right now, but I think I found a, albeit small, plothole. At least a severely missed opportunity imo.
Edit; Or... Big Mom didn't care enough about her crew, her literal children, to inform Kaido and have him arrange for a pick-up

I think Whole Cake Island stablished pretty well how little Big Mom actually cares for her children, and we saw how arrogant she was during the raid on Onigashima. We have to remember the fact that it was, in fact, a raid, and that Kaido and Big Mom didn't expect anyone to show up and carry out a battle...
Also, we don't know exactly what happened to the rest of the Big Mom pirates, but in chapter 1053, we saw a scene where Big News Morgans mentions how CP0's last transmission was cut after they spotted Big Mom's ship

I mean from a story perspective there are reasons for both shanks and blackbeard to win.
Shanks and Luffy have not met in years. At least not properly, so shanks winning would essentially mean he'd be the final hurdle to the one piece, which would be very fitting and poetic that the man who was his inspiration was his final challenge.
However, Blackbeard beating Shanks, would mean that Teach would be the final hurdle, and he's been set up as perhaps the big bad at the end of the road, i mean.
C'mon, it's BLACKBEARD probably most (in)famous pirate of the real world, what better way to cap off the pirate manga by beating THE pirate, on top of that since ALL of Teaches crew have devil fruits Oda would have a ball giving them wacky zany powers that the crew will have to deal with which you KNOW he would love to do. He loves Devil Fruits since he can make literally anything a fruit, not evening mentioning the Personal Beef he has with Teach given the fact he gave Ace over to the World Government, making him essentially responsible for his death in the end.
As it stands, if it comes down, to a fight between Shanks and Blackbeard, I don't see Shanks winning from a story perspective. He will def put up a fight, but in the end he will lose and possibly die.
I posit a second possibility of Luffy arriving not at the end of the fight but the MIDDLE and joining in, mostly likely against Teach but possibly against Shanks too. Who knows?

If you're gonna use terms like "erm" to make it sound like its an obvious point, or something I missed, you should check your facts first because it comes off very snotty and doubly so when you're wrong like you are here.
Pudding needs to awaken her 3rd eye to read the poneglyphs. She has not done so. Big Mom was trying to get Robin in Wano for that reason. Blackbeard could very well be using her powers for something instead of her 3rd eye. We don't know.

If blackbeard truly killed shanks before Luffy gets to return the straw hat to him, that will give Luffy a true reason to go after blackbeard and actually hate Blackbeard, because I do think Luffy is aware of Blackbeard and aware of the bad things he’s done but i don’t think there’s a true hate and rage luffy has for Blackbeard yet

I just don’t see Blackbeard ever going for a head on fight with shanks that would last for an extended period of time, it doesn’t seem in line with his character to me. I do think that Blackbeard will kill shanks, but I think it’ll be more of a marineford situation, with Blackbeard swooping in and finishing off shanks after he’s weakened against another opponent, probably the world government (since I don’t see it being luffy or buggy’s crew really). I’m not sure, but I think if oda wants to push the contrast between luffy and Blackbeard further, then not having Blackbeard ever face an opponent in a fair 1v1 would be the best way to do this. He’s an opportunist and a schemer, the polar opposite of luffy

yeah but many people also bet on shanks vs luffy fight / reuinion so yeah i'd say it's not expected at least for some? everyone anticipating for reunion, plus shanks was consistently hyped recently as insanely strong with haki which in theory can defeat blackbeard almost hinting that he has low chances

If Blackbeard beats Shanks it won't be through power. We have seen Shanks protect really weak people so I can see Shanks sacrificing himself to save weak and innocent people from Blackbeard. It would also support Kaido's claim that Roger conquered the seas without a devil fruit. It would be lame to see BB win through just overpowered fruits.

It’s like the one piece fandom has forgotten that villains are supposed to feel like a wall for the main character to climb. You already have a fandom who think current Luffy beats Black Beard. If Black Beard claims a win through Shanks sacrificing himself, rather then Black Beard actually having grown powerful enough to be opposing, then the fandom will only disrespect him more as a character and will never see him as someone who could actually challenge Luffy.
@@CameronkAK I see your point. In a way it would also be respectable to see him corner Shanks/Luffy even if Blackbeard is weaker. So far we have only seen him take fights he knows he can win.
He rolled Ace. He ran from Shanks at Marineford. He almost died to Magellan. He caught a 12 year old girl. He failed to capture Law. He ran from Rayleigh.
In every encounter (except for Ace who got overpowered) he only wins when he has a plan. Some dirty scheme like a true pirate. He doesn't power gap anyone after Ace. It's always a plan or he runs away.
@@CameronkAK right, the problem was that luffy was given a fruit that promises to bend reality, creating expectations that are too high. and that he "beat" kaido relatively early with that same revealed fruit (people ignore that beating kaido was a team effort and that luffy could not have beat him in a serious 1v1 fight to the death). maybe the realitybending will be the only way to cancel out the yami yami no mi's advantage.

bb and shanks will be fighting while the strawhats will be in elbaf
after elbaf luffy will hear about the battle nd go there, as he arrives bb kills shanks but wont have the time to finish shanks off as luffy is approaching (bb will also be heavily injured) so bb will run away. as luffy meets shanks on the death bed cross guild will arrive and mihawk will see shanks die, after this we will get to see zoro vs mihawk nd zoro will become the new strongest swordsman. then we will get to see both bb and luffy race to laugh tale and have a fight against each other where bb wil lose in the final war. (plz ignore spelling mstks)

Cross guild vs Straw hats being a Davy Back fight makes no sense. Mihawk doesn't have to be in Cross Guild when he fights Zoro and neither side has a reason to accept a Davy Back fight anyway, I just think it's forced and stupid. It would also have to be a comedy-centric imo which Oda's comedy post ts is not hitting for me.
Blackbeard vs Shanks is a high possibility but it can't happen before Luffy meets Shanks and Yassop and Ussop must meet.
Blackbeard doesn't have conqueror's haki so he can't split the sky, he can prob try with Gura Gura or something.
I never thought BB underestimated Luffy. He could not believe Luffy's bounty was as low as 30M. When he got the news of Luffy's actual bounty, he immediately knew he would be able to become a warlord by capturing Luffy. And him saying to Luffy "it is too early for you" just means he knew in Impel Down (as we learned from Rayleigh after the war) that indeed Luffy was not ready. It is more BB being lucid than underestimating Luffy.
He couldn't believe Luffy's bounty was as HIGH as 30M. Not as LOW. The only reason he thought capturing Luffy would make him a Warlord is because he was worth $100M - but he didnt think he was a $100M threat. You completely misinterpreted all of those lines lol.

Cuz i know were never going to see shanks vs luffy, but at the same time we need shanks to be out of the picture, pluse having luffy's final battle be vs blackbeard makes all the sense, cuz blackbeard is the one with all the devil fruits while luffy is the one with the one devil fruit that can do anything, the perfect one vs all kinda fight.
Pluse shanks is your typical op father character that reaches the peak of his skills and never seaks more power by other means and those types of characters ALWAYS GETS KILLED BY THE BAD GUY WHO ALWAYS WANTS MORE POWES AND USES DIFFERENT MEANS TO GET IT.
