Does he even know how cool it is for a long time fan to see Elton John looking at Elton John, saying the titles of albums and songs, looking at the album covers? For some reason, it hit me hard to see him acknowledging those very same albums I've had in my possession for well over 40 years. Him looking at the same photos I've looked at for so many years. But moreover, knowing how much of himself went into this box set makes it even more of a reason to get this set. Hey, Elton! You were not only played in our home when I was a child in the 70s, but you were also part of the entire home, my childhood. My mother, my older sister, and older brother kept bringing your albums home week after week. My brother handed down a copy of Captain Fantastic (books, poster, and all, and a consistent skip on "Tower Of Babel" I still hear today when I play the song). The Christmas my parents got him Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and on that old 8mm home movie he opened it up to show the three-sided gatefold still burns in my memory every time I hear "The Ballad of Danny Bailey" or our favorite track, "I've Seen That Movie Too". The day I heard "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" when I was 15 let me know, you didn't go away, and was thankful you were still producing amazing music. Or the lawns I had to mow to get a first-day release copy of 21 at 33 in 1980 at the age of 12. Since I was 5 years old in 1973, you were a part of so many things. From that Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on Christmas, you my first lawn-mowing job, to my teens in the 80s into everything but pop music, to my first marriage where "Your Song" was our wedding song, to my son's birth and "Levon" and "Tiny Dancer" played night after night feeding him so he'd go to sleep, to the 90s when I started working radio and received new copies of every 90s album you released... you were there. Everywhere. All the time. And to this day, I still love your music, your concerts, music videos. So, thank you, Sir Elton. I will be first in line to buy this box set and spend a few hours alone with my self exploring NEW-old Elton John. Thank you. (Not that I think you will read this, but I just had to go there).

I told myself that if I got this life and career-changing job, this girl from Alabama would finally be able to see Elton live. My dad, when I was a child, introduced me to rock and roll through Elton John and ZZ TOP (from Elton, specifically the "Made in England" album, with "Blessed" being one of the songs that meant the most to me). My father passed away when I was 12 and I told myself that one day, one day I would see Elton live for my dad (as well as myself because I love his music). I now live in the UK and have LANDED that job ("I'm Still Standing" got me through job rejection after job rejection and finally the day I interviewed FOR that dream job). If nothing changes, with that first large paycheck I'm going to book a ticket for his farewell tour. My dad would be so excited for me. In a way, Elton helped to give me my sense of wonder and desire to see the world from a young age, as well as the drive to keep fighting through the hard times... and he'll never know how much that has meant to me. I just hope I'm going to be able to get (and afford) tickets. XD

I've been to 2 of his farewell tour concerts with my sister. I also bought tickets for my grandson to see him with a friend. He said it was the best concert he has ever been to. He is 26 and has seen all of the Hip Hop, Rock, etc. bands. He now has a collection of Elton John everything. Most of them are gifts from me. I ordered this set for him as one of his Christmas gifts. He doesn't even know it exists. The 2nd concert that I went to.....my sister and I had the first row on the floor middle seats!!!! It cost us more than 11 regular concerts would, but it was amazing to be less than 15 feet from him. Definitely go and see him. I wish I were able to travel to see him at his last concert. What is the dream job that you got?

I can’t get out of my memory seeing you at Werribee Mansion I think it was the rocket man tour how you walked on stage sat at the piano played and commanded your audience like an angel. Your audience were totally in awe and loved filled the air that evening. You’ve done so much in your life and you’ve been through so much and yet you still remain humble. I feel your music only aged in time like a good wine. My son born in 1981 I named him Daniel, and yes he’s been to Spain. He took me to one of your concerts in Melbourne a few years ago, the moment in time I cherish forever when you sang the song Daniel. Many musicians loose their mo jo as they get older, but you are still standing better than you’ve ever been. I adore you.

I was fortunate enough to see Elton (my first time) last fall in Edmonton, and I have to say, it looks like he has lost a lot weight. Staying healthy I hope! It was sad to me (43yo lifelong fan) that this was the final tour, and because of it, I splurged - for me, it was an incredibly expensive pair of tickets, but in the end it was a wonderful night, he put on a fantastic show, and I can now say that I have finally been able to see Elton John live :) The way that it ended was really the cherry on top of it all; Everything and more that you might come to expect from 'Captain Fantastic'.

Tumbleweed Connection (1970) was the first John/Taupin album I bought. I went there to get the latest release, Madman Across The Water (1971) but they were out. I was also collecting 45s that had songs not appearing on the albums like Step Into Chrismas, Sugar On The Floor, Cold Highway, House Of Cards, and Planes. Good times!! Sir Elton, life would not have been bearable without you and Bernie sharing your gifts with us. With all my heart, thank you so much for helping me survive many migraines and other traumas in my young life. You filled my heart and I am thankful. PS I sent you a gift in 1992, a copy of my butt with a pink silk bow, as a joke. I hope you got a chuckle or at least John Reid Enter. found a good home for it. Cheers!

Last time we saw him in Richmond he played over three hours! It was fantastic.

Elton is a jewel . His music has been and still is part of all our lives .. Loved watching him on tv at Live Aid. Benny & The Jets was spectacular.

I was there too! Great show from the Jump Up! Tour.

I absolutely adore this man
I can’t get out of my memory seeing you at Werribee Mansion I think it was the rocket man tour how you walked on stage sat at the piano played and commanded your audience like an angel. Your audience were totally in awe and loved filled the air that evening. You’ve done so much in your life and you’ve been through so much and yet you still remain humble. I feel your music only aged in time like a good wine. My son born in 1981 I named him Daniel, and yes he’s been to Spain. He took me to one of your concerts in Melbourne a few years ago, the moment in time I cherish forever when you sang the song Daniel. Many musicians loose their mo jo as they get older, but you are still standing better than you’ve ever been. I adore you.

I was fortunate enough to see Elton (my first time) last fall in Edmonton, and I have to say, it looks like he has lost a lot weight.

It was sad to me (43yo lifelong fan) that this was the final tour, and because of it, I splurged - for me, it was an incredibly expensive pair of tickets, but in the end it was a wonderful night, he put on a fantastic show, and I can now say that I have finally been able to see Elton John live :)
The way that it ended was really the cherry on top of it all;
Everything and more that you might come to expect from 'Captain Fantastic'.

Tumbleweed Connection (1970) was the first John/Taupin album I bought. I went there to get the latest release, Madman Across The Water (1971) but they were out. I was also collecting 45s that had songs not appearing on the albums like Step Into Chrismas, Sugar On The Floor, Cold Highway, House Of Cards, and Planes. Good times!!

You have filled my young heart with color and beauty no one else could have. I saw you and Ray Cooper in Toronto in Oct 1979 at the OKeefe Center... it was an experience I won't forget.

Elton I think you should definetly play more obscure kind of songs! I love them so much ! i really wish youd play them more live! i love the hits but i also love the songs that arent that well known or songs youve performed less live. For example Club at the end of the street, ive seen that movie too, part time love, and soo many more :) love you Elton❤️
