When I spoke to Masai Ujiri's Predictiveness, I was speaking SPECIFCALLY about drafting and his draft habits.. Other than that, I am aware Masai and the Raptors org is pretty lowkey about their moves!
As a Raptors fan solid points, great video. Most Raptors fans still are passive in linking the bad roster construction after Kawhi,Danny Green,Mark Gasol and Surge Ibaka, along with some of the bench as key peices of the 2019 championship core walked for nothing on this front office. Masai was too focused on replacement of Kawhi with Giannis who around that time entered free agency from the Bucks but ultimately signed his extention, and then instead committing to rebuilding the roster which still had at that time a healthier Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet and Norman Powell, O.G and Siakam as good enough core, this front office went in all tall 6'9 ish lineup who is not so great in finishing, shooting or ball-handing. They thought this would be done with in house development, which wasn't a top priority after the 2019 championship under then coach NickNurse.
I watched Gradey and he doesn't look ready for the NBA. He can barely hit the rim when shooting. Most chucks up air balls. And he cracks under any pressure. Turn over machine. And he can't defend. So what exactly does he bring to a team ?
Raptors needed more shooting and a better bench. I don’t think they really did enough. It seems like another disappointing offseason and if they struggle badly this year with 3 of your top players on 1 years and can walk for nothing than Masai will be fired for sure!
Imma consider the acquisition of poeltl late last season as a bench move. It literally relieves the lengthly but skinny forwards with having to carry the weight of banging down low all game. Allows precious, siakim, OG and boucher to reserve their energy. That being said they added another good veteran in temple that can play his part off the bench, let alone the possibility of shroder coming off the bench. Jalen mcdaniels is a good 3 and D player off the bench. Hopefully Otto can remain healthy which would be a huge bench piece with his 3 and D and veteran leadership with great championship experience. Dick has potential to be a great shooter that seems to know how to play off the ball with his cuts also his finishes at the rim are very impressive. Fvv isnt a traditional point, with his minutes and shot attempts shroder would produce the same on a much lower contract and hopefully lower ego. We needed more shooting? Dick, mcdaniels and otto. Being that its contract years i expect gtj to improve. We know siakim will. As for masai keeping his players thats to be seen. But i think this offseason was underated. The raptors werent a bad team. They were just missing a center and a lil bench depth which they added those. With a coach definitely more willing to go into the bench instead of draining his starters 36mins minimum a game. Im excited for this season.
Disagree. The bench is looking MUCH better than last year, and the team overall shooting will improve this year under Darko. Pascal and OG have said they intend to re-sign in Toronto and Masai ain't going anywhere.
Dick hasn't even played a game yet. He could be a total dud. Secret weapon he is not. The Raptors drastically improved their team though with something they should have done 3 years ago, they fired the useless head coach they had. Already the shooting is better. People don;t realize Anunoby shot 39% from 3 and Trent 37%. BTW you Barnes' groupies, he shot 28% from 3.

1k club 🥳🎉. Congrats!
I get you meant Masai drafting habits of defensive 6’9 wings. Gradey was definitely a nice surprise. Good video.
Yeah thanks bro, I realized what I said after and it sounded so wrong 😂
