This is really beautiful. I really fell in love with it. I feel like it takes me to another wonderful world🔮✨🛡🎼
Your voice makes me feel like I am living in the Victorian era💓. In fact, I am from Iraq, tenth grade students in Iraq are studying this poem in English literature. I did not know that the poem was so famous and wonderful.🍃
That is so wonderful to hear. Thank you for letting me know. ❤️ Arthur
This is the first time I've heard this poem all the way through. I was aware of the poem because of Anne of Green Gables and her embarrassing adventure in the rowboat, but when I tried to read it I couldn't enjoy it.
My speed reading, which helps me enjoy massive amounts of fiction and is very convenient for nonfiction, gets in the way of poetry.
Recently I finished Agatha Christie's "The mirror cracked from side to side" and searched for a way to listen to the poem instead of reading it.
It was wonderful, thank you!
Beautiful reading 💜
Thank you for this reading
wonderfully read
Thank you! 🙏
My favourite poem since childhood. Beautifully spoken, thank you.
Thanks
'"I am half sick of shadows," said
The Lady of Shalott.'
❤avery specific and deep description of sadness and and loneliness 😢
I adore how you voice this. It sounds like a constant sigh, a loss and a regret. I feel that Tennyson would be proud of you-especially the ‘half sick of shadows’! It’s so great that you have this talent.
A classic epic poem. Thanks for reading it and bringing beautiful poetry to us. 👏
Beauty in every line… made me feel very emotional.
And the reading was sublime.
Thank you for your heartfelt comment! I'm deeply touched to know that the beauty of Tennyson's lines evoked such strong emotions within you. It's great to have positive feedback, it encourages me to continue sharing more of these recordings! I hope you can enjoy a few of my other videos on the channel. Thank you again. Arthur
Such grace within this poem and in poetry in general, all poetry has a message that we can all learn from, poets put such heart into their work, and skill, and masterpieces this is no short an example of that. ☺️
I completely agree, Cris. Thank you for your comment. I hope you’ll enjoy a few other recordings from my channel, I’m doing my best to keep these classic works alive!
@@ArthurLWood your a true messenger of the classics Arthur, I'm looking into writing poetry myself. And have u ever heard the Irish song version of this poem? By Loreena Mckennit absolutely stunning.
@@ArthurLWood as someone who loves music and poetry they both go hand in hand beautifully
Many-towered Camelot. He’s a master of rhythm and picturing with words.

Your birthday is upcoming on this Friday, the 28th of June. I’ll be busy on that day, though it is said that congratulating prior to the date means bad luck a little thank you can’t be wrong. I’d love to be more generous as you have brought me so much joy over these years I have to watch my limited OAP‘s budget, still I shall add a shipload of love to my little contribution.
I think he is the greatest British poet
One of my favorites; thank you.
One of my favourite poems, the poet creates so many visuals in this piece that has inspired many artists. Would like to hear you read 'Lord Ullin's Daughter.' By Thomas Campbell.
There she weaves by night and day
A magic web with colours gay.
She has heard a whisper say,
A curse is on her if she stay
To look down to Camelot.
She knows not what the curse may be,
And so she weaveth steadily,
And little other care hath she,
The Lady of Shalott.
Lovely
How good is that ❤ read beautifully
Thank you! Such a beautiful poem. I've read a few Tennyson poems on this channel, most notably In Memoriam, but this remains my personal favourite.
The magic web you are waving on this channel, you do have some loyal knights, let me be one !
