You should move to Australia! It’s not too hot ( coastal areas where majority lives) not too cold, great music and arts scene and GREAT outdoor life! Great for families! Vancouver is great if you are urban life lover and well off. 😀
Hot tip! Freeze that milk jug and then use it in your cooler instead of buying ice. Then you can drink it as it melts. We normally do this with 2x 2L old soda bottles. Especially handy for those campsites that don’t have water sources!

I also moved to a new city this year and have been struggling without my best friends near by. It does take time to meet new people and to make that best friend connection. You just have to keep putting yourself out there every day. Eventually the familiar faces become friends. I found the most helpful thing for me is to have shared meals on the weekend and to go to social outings :)

PMSL at your "incase we all pee ourselves" yep pretty much how l pack, but l haven’t peed myself since l was 38 weeks pregnant with my miss almost 21 year old 😂

Becca: I have no friends in Vancouver. Also Becca: We are going out with friends.... we are going away with friends. Those deeper connections will come, it just takes time and sharing deeper parts of yourself. When your kids go to school, that will help a lot.
I realized the irony 😂 but it is the deeper connections I’m craving right now. And I know they’ll come!

A bear?? !!! Oh my goodness that would scare me too. I hope you develop some deeper friendships but sadly, in this world we now live in, most parents are working and people don't seem to have time to make new friendships. You are not the only one feeling like you do I'm sure.
Slowly getting more friends. A lot of the people we went camping with were Billy’s work friends. They are all good friends. But I also want some of my own.
Dont you Canadians carry bear spray??
not ones who live in the city lol. It can be considered a weapon if carrying outside of a forest setting. also most bears around Vancouver are black bears which are not known for attacking humans as long as you leave them alone.
We had it with us camping! You don’t use it unless they’re coming at you though.
