He knows exactly what he is doing. This way his videos remain kid-friendly, but there are also some 'adult easter eggs' stored in them if you're paying attention.
WatchingMyLifeFlashB I heated up a knife and a pair of scissors to try it but I guess they weren’t hot enough. Btw, it was less dangerous than using a torch!
Hey King of Random would your travel size shampoo Ziploc bags explode with the pressure change of an airplane ride? Could you please test that with your vacuum chamber?
My guess is no. Liquids like water (which is what most of soaps and stuff are made of) don't expand much at all in low pressure, and there's only a little bit of air left in that pouch of plastic. Hopefully even if that tiny amount of air expanded quite a bit, the bag would be strong enough to handle it. It would be cool to see though!
Kenny Parkinson airliners have pressurized cabins .. so the inside of the plane resembles like average 5k ft altitude above sea level.. normally depends on how much differential pressure the fuselage is build to withstand
Thanks! I will definitely use this. I travel a lot and use all kinds of plastic bags I collected throughout the years to pack all kind of beauty/health/office supplies in them. But often the bag is either too small or too big. this simple trick will solve that. Genius!
No, Quantumdragon didn't contradict himself. He was saying, that if you use the cutter, it will cut the sides separately, but not press them together to get a seal.

Ghost Rider you won't be able to plug a pair of earbuds into an outlet. You can connect them to one of the holes but you need the other one to complete a circuitry.
Quinten Vermeulen that is untrue. A phone charger or any other 110 volt to usb converter consumes energy when plugged in. There is a transformer inside the block part that steppes down the voltage so that your phone's battery can charge safely. although you do not have a load connected to the end of the usb the transformer is always stepping down the voltage, consuming power. Always follow the directions on any appliance. The people that engineer them are smarter than both of us
I've designed switching power converters and inverters and can confirm that they consume quiescent current even without a load due to inefficiencies in passives as well as the semiconductors in the converter which continue to operate even without any load plugged in. Additionally in order to maintain the output voltage without a device plugged in there is a token high value load resistor in parallel with the output to provide stability for the compensator to continue performing regulation, otherwise plugging and unplugging a USB device would cause nasty voltage swings on the output that the compensator would have trouble dealing with due to finite PID gains and factors such as windup and limits on pwm duty.
This really helped me and my mom organize small things like screws and washers whenever we clean the house, I've also been watching you for years and made a few things on your channel for my little sister. THANK YOU!!!
THE YOLO SQUAD yes you can using a vacuum chamber and a vacuum pump. With water in the chamber and the vacuum pump on it will lower the pressure and the boiling point to where it's boiling at room temperature. Because water is changing from a liquid to a vapor it will continue to carry away heat until it reaches 0°c and turns to solid ice. It's not recommended to do this without having a way to prevent water vapor traveling through the vacuum pump. It's also why computer dusters get cold after spraying for extended periods and how your air conditioners condition your air. All through a change of state going from liquid to gas.
Jonathan Roeder I think THE YOLO SQUAD is referring if it's possible to ADD pressure and turn it to ice. And to answer that question, no. You're adding energy which is pretty much raising the temperature of the water.
No you are both mistaken sorry if i dont spelle things right. but look up the 7th type of ice that is becuase of presure i wana see if he can do it. it would be cool and if he does so he can show
THE YOLO SQUAD I don't think our puny human instruments can compress water molecules that much but it's definitely real as ice can be several thousand degrees above 0°C especially on alien planets
superfishy im sure it would be fine to eat since dippin dots are made with liquid nitrogen, you would probably just want to let it warm up to a more "normal" frozen first
What happens when you put liquid nitrogen in the bag? Will it instantly freeze solid or remain liquid inside? Can you then seal off with a coat hanger?
GD C1rculatum Right, but he's laying the bags flat to cut/seal them... how does he do that without the liquid leaking out? I guess he used another method with the bag vertical. That he didn't show.
This came in very handy with my Blue Spruce tree seeds. In order to plant the small seeds, they first have to germinate in some wet sand in the refrigerator for a month. Grant Thompson - "The King of Random" second
hi
hi again
Please make Propane Canister mortar rounds!
Grant Thompson - "The King of Random" q
Yea, maybe using a small bag of white powder as your example for "samples" wasn't the best idea.
almost like using red wax to coat the tampons a few videos back

what if you use your foam slicer for ziploc bags, maybe you can make shapes
Exactly what I was thinking.
someones a smart cookie
zack143 why? it would totally work
The coat hanger presses the bag so it keeps being waterproof, with the foam slicer the cut wont be as tight because it wont "press" it
You can it'll be hard tho
So everyone's talking about the white powder but am I the only one wondering why he put two spoons and a bunch of screws in the same storage bag?
Lainey Prohaska do you not spoon after you screw?

Lainey Prohaska or why he calls them freesie pops
Because if he put the spoons and the product together in the bag it would be too obvious.
I bet you could use heated cookie cutters for super custom bags!!!!😝
ThePlayerMakes Your idea is awesome. I will press an iron to a cookie cutter then try tomorrow.
ThePlayerMakes Don’t do it by boiling them cuz it didn’t work for me.

No, liquids don't expand at lower pressures. They boil, turn into gas, and the gas expands

yes
No, because it needs the downward compression to seal the bag. The hot wire cutter would just melt through the 2 sides separately
Quantumdragon exactly, it melts & hardens, so it does work, so you kind of contradicted yourself
No, Quantumdragon didn't contradict himself. He was saying, that if you use the cutter, it will cut the sides separately, but not press them together to get a seal.

can you put enought pressure on watter to turn it in ice with a machine
THE YOLO SQUAD yes you can using a vacuum chamber and a vacuum pump. Water expands as it freezes so there wouldn't be enough space for the Ice if you tried to squeeze it into ice
What will happend if you some orbeez soaked up gasoline and try to light it.
They wouldn't soak.
I think they mean have the orbeez absorb the gasoline.
Grimtin10 how would you know? i mean look at your channel you're like 11
+EagleCS_GO there right the material binds to water molecules to expand not gasoline

The Ziploc Corp. is hating Grant right about now! Thanks for the tip, King!
How the heck did you seal one off after there's liquid in it?
GD C1rculatum Right, but he's laying the bags flat to cut/seal them... how does he do that without the liquid leaking out? I guess he used another method with the bag vertical. That he didn't show.
I guess put it near the table edge and let it hang over? Then cut the bag like normal.
Yeah, that would work. Or use two hot wires that can be clamped together on both sides of the bag... kinda like commercial food bag sealers do.
Or he zipped the filled bag shut and then cut and sealed off the lock part.
Great question! By using a cooler hanger, I pressed on the edge to keep it from separating and used the heated hanger to cut and seal the bag.
Nobody wants to store things in these..... We all know it's about the freezie pops....
