Yeah that’s true but I think the question was supporting gay rights and equality issues and I think that’s more layered. We are called to love everyone but does your love as a Christian extend to being involved in advocacy for their community? I’d generally say no. 💕

The Bible says that homosexuality is an abomination in His sight and it talks about how abortion is murder. It does not matter at what point in time you kill the child it is MURDER and that is a sin worthy of death by all people involved

I promise not hate because I love you guys Josh/Sav but I couldn’t understand why your stance on sex before marriage was very strong but you didn’t want to go deep about the LGBTQ question. I understand it gets touchy because you have friends that are apart of the LGBTQ community but I think if you’re going to address some of the other Christian questions so boldly, it should be the same completely. I believe there's a time for in-person conversations about certain topics. In my opinion, this is one of them. I wouldn't assume they are ashamed to talk about it, just respectful. I totally understand where they are coming from
The thing with the LGBTQ community thing is a lot of Christians’ stance on it comes from scripture and interpreting it literally instead of diving into the context and the society of the time period it’s written in- Not to get too specific, because if I did I’d be here for a while, but I would just say to not take everything at surface value and to really look at scripture in context

“Love thy neighbour as thyself” its not your job as a Christian to judge and condemn people, it’s your job to love everybody regardless of their flaws or sins. We are all sinners and we sin every day, but Jesus died so that we may be forgiven of these sins. Last time I checked, there is no list in the bible ranking all sins from best to worst or most forgivable to least forgivable. So why do you condemn homosexuality so harshly? You are not living a life of love, you are living one of hate and judgement, Jesus would be disappointed.

Cold heartily agree as a man in a interracial relationship. My parents were interracial so there was never a problem but when I was in highschool I had to quit dating a Hispanic female because her parents didn't want her dating a black guy. It really hurt to be not looked at as someone who wants to treat there daughter right

I guess the problem is when someone's opinion takes rights away from another person. For example, christians who say they love people who are gay typically still vote against their right to marry someone of the same sex,-so if people are easily offended, it's because they realize the consequences of certain beliefs. Having romantic feelings for another consenting person is not a sin and withholding someone's right to get married or discriminating against them in other ways (because gay people get passed over for everything from jobs to housing based on others' opinions of them), well, that's just awful. So it's these little things, like someone having a gut feeling of being more comfortable with a potential rentee or job applicant who comes off as straight- all these little things make things more difficult for a person who isn't straight.

Paul Anthony I can make a book and put a lot of different meanings behind it and label it the Bible. Would you believe that would be the word of God? You don’t know exactly how many times this book has been translated. I’ve seen religion used as a weapon to inflict pain on to others. Religion is a very good excuse not to question anything in front of you and A blindly follow. So the question is not wrong because you should know when your led by God versus when you’re led by someone else’s words.
if you believe that life begins at conception and that God knit every single one of His children together with a purpose and a plan, than abortion is wrong no matter what. every life is important and has a voice whether in the womb, or not. if you believe in the Bible, it’s impossible to associate any circumstance of abortion as justified. what you are saying says that those born from an “unplanned” pregnancy (rape included) is less valuable. many born out of these types of unplanned situations are attacked daily by the enemy that they “aren’t supposed to be here”. God never wants any child he creates to be seen as a mistake that can justifiably be killed inside the womb.

Overall I love the way Josh ended the sex question saying that sex is Great!! Cause he is absolutely right it is God created it to be amazing and great but in the proper use. But out of the proper use which is the confines of marriage it can be dangerous and can spiral into a lot of different things. For example the feeling abandonment you may have when that person you sleep with stops talking to you and leaves you for someone else it’s almost like a mini divorce. Which leads me to say that we must first understand what marriage is before we can understand sex. In that marriage is a reflection of Christ covenant he has made with us which is why you say vows because you’re making covenant between you and your spouse that is that no matter what for better or for worse for richer or for poorer to death do you part that you will love ,honor, and give your life for them just like Christ loves you and has given his life for you and the soul tie can never be broken thus the soul tie between spouse shall not be broken. Also why Christ in his Word he refers us the Christians “the church” and says were are his “bride” and that when he returns he we will become One with him in heaven because he has made a covenant with us when we decided to surrender and give our lives and trust in him becoming Christians. So like Josh said sex is to reflect those two souls that have made that covenant to God to becoming One and them never being separated and making a soul tie through sex. But if you still having some issues I recommend listening to Micheal Todd’s Relationship Goals Sermon Series he talks a lot more about why sex shouldn’t be done outside of marriage it was really helpful to me. I just wanna say Josh&Sav you guys are amazing!!! Thank you for being example of what a God fearing couple looks like that uses their platform to help be that light in a dark world and to point people to Christ to transform lives for the Kingdom. ❤️❤️
Can I just say how refreshing it is to hear from open minded people. It's evident you take your faith very seriously and try your best to abide by God's Word. But thank you so much for still being accepting and non-judgmental of others.
Though I didn't grow up religious I have always been interested in God, from a very young age. I found church on my own when I was in middle school. As I grew up I was mistreated by multiple Christian communities, which drove me away from the religion for a long time. But finding Christians like you makes me believe in the possibility that I can actually step into my faith more. I know Christians should not be a factor in my decision to be Christian since it's about my relationship with God, but it has taken me a while to figure that out. Anyways, thank you again!
Cassandra Brittany im so sorry you had a bad experience in some christian churches. I would like to share some words of encouragement as i have gone through similar events. Remember to put your faith not on the people but on God, just because someone who calls themselves Christian did wrongs things to you, does not mean God did. We are all humans and make mistakes, God is the only one we can FULLY trust. I know this is hard to do but slowly you will start to understand. UNPOPULAR OPINION - I'm catholic and I disagree with the no sex before marriage. In the times when the Bible was written, average life expectancy was a LOT shorter and people got married a LOT younger, so 'waiting' until marriage didn't carry the same weight that it does now. From a health perspective, there was no such thing as contraception or safe sex, and pregnancy and childbirth came with a lot more complications, hence pre-marital sex carried more risks. Also a single mother back then couldn't support herself financially and so it was seen as reckless to be engaging in sex outside of marriage, in that you were potentially going to get pregnant with a child that you cannot support. For all these reasons, no sex before marriage was the 'right' thing to do in society. However, times have changed and these reasons are not valid anymore. I feel that Christianity should adapt with it. I know too many Christians jumping to get married at 18 just so that they can lose their virginity, which in my opinion goes completely against the sanctity of marriage.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t believe that abortion is okay even in cases of rape. I honestly think I would rather die than be raped. I can’t even imagine how horrible that would be. And I believe that the rapist should absolutely be punished. But I believe that an unborn baby is a life and to kill that innocent life is wrong. I know that saying it would be hard to carry that baby for nine months is an understatement. But committing another evil is not the way to fix the situation.

Regarding interracial relationships, If God is okay with it then that's all the confirmation I need. Racism isn't a thing of God and I wouldn't deny myself a possible relationship so my parents can be comfortable in their hateful ways. Of course you have to be careful while living under their roof, but you have to stand up against injustice, even if it's your own family. God determines right or wrong, not your parents.

I think if your Christian you respect the right to life, and so you should not kill no matter the circumstances, and that’s why i believe the concept of abortion is wrong both in unfortunate situations like rape or just if the mother chooses not to have a baby. At the end of the day going through with the abortion has so many bad consequences (problems with the operations, PTSD etc) that is not spoken about. I think if you bring life in this world it’s the most rewarding thing you could do no matter how you got pregnant and we have so much help from the gov to help you raise that child if you are personally struggling. Also don’t forget the joy that comes from innocent little babies they’re just adorable 🥺

Mary Rassy help from the government is a joke. An existence based on government help is terrible. Unhappy people are usually raised and with so few opportunities which makes them susceptible to commit crimes to live. Religious people should not enforce their morals onto other peoples lives if they don’t share that same code. We (siblings)were spanked for lying, being disobedient, when we misbehaved in school.
My parents had a good relationship with the school teachers, and we felt that they (teachers and parents) had our best interest at heart.

My Dad, is no longer living ( stage 4 colon cancer)and my mom has Fahr’s disease, completely bed fast. I love my Mom and Dad

As a Christian I agree with your views on waiting till marriage with sex, I will say tho that honestly it’s just better for your relationship. Even if you are not a Christian, sex plays such a big role in a relationship that your setting yourself up to make things harder on yourself and your partner when you bring that into the picture before you have the level of commitment and security that comes with marriage.

I believe that life begins at conception. I believe God has a plan for each of us. How can anyone say that murdering an innocent child is ok if there was rape involved. I believe you are punishing the child for the crime of the father. Rape is wrong, but murder is too. Why would abortion be the only option...what about adoption or asking God for the strength to love this child regardless of how they came to be.

Hi Josh&Sav! I wanted to respond to Sav's opinion on abortion in cases of rape. As a pro-life advocate, I believe all human life is precious! Science proves that unique human life begins at conception! DNA is formed that is different from the mother and father! How cool is that! Before I make my point I want to say that rape is an awful and evil act. No one should have to experience it or go through it in any form. It is disgusting, vile, and absolutely malicious. Anyone who forces themselves on another person sexually should be persecuted by the law and have to face extreme consequences. My prayers go out to anyone who has ever had to experience the awful act of rape. However, an unborn human conceived in rape should not have their life taken away. It is never the baby's fault it was conceived and it is never the baby's fault that its mother was raped. It is an innocent bystander in the act and should have the right to life just like any other baby conceived under consensual sex. The child's worth is not diminished due to the circumstances in which it was brought into the world. Abortion, no matter how the baby is conceived, is the same in every circumstance, the ending of an innocent human life.

Touching the subject about abortion; I understand that everybody has a story, but what about the baby? What happens to that baby’s story? From a christian perspective, in Jeremiah 1:5 it says:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
However from a moral standpoint not bringing religion into it, from the moment of conception, it is scientifically proven that that fetus or baby is a living thing. Therefore, why would you deny a human being its right to life. Now, I understand and I’m deeply sorry for all of the victims of rape, that is an heinous act and I pray for all of those affected by that atrocity. However, why should the baby, an innocent being, pay for that? Scientific studies have shown that abortions negatively affect a woman’s physical, emotional, and mental state. I believe that we should all work together to give women a better choice for their baby and themselves such as bettering the adoption and foster care system among other things. Christians obviously share the belief that abortion is wrong but doesn’t mean they could go until the peoples lives and tell him what they should do with their lives. It’s the choice of the parents. Not up to a religious book and the people who speak for it

I understand where you’re coming from and I also believe that the separation of church and state is necessary and that is why I gave reasons as to why abortion is wrong and it’s essentially murder from a moral and a religious standpoint. I’m not here to shove my believes on other people however, when people are taking innocent lives when they are at their most vulnerable state, I can not just let that pass. Also, I don’t only believe that abortion is wrong solely because the Bible says so, I have done my research and science conquers with the fact that during abortion a life is ended. Abortion has a plethora of negative side effects on many women as well. This is why all of us as a society should work together to give women and expecting parents better options to choose from that don’t end up taking the life of an innocent being. Have a nice day. :)
