I ended up buying an X2000 after my 34 day old HK 2700 died. Thanks for this in depth review, I love my X2000.

Excellent review. I was on the fence about getting either the e400 or x1000. You just steered me toward the most logical choice. Not a bad price either. Thank you for the excellent review. Now on to hunt for the best price.

Great review thanks for taking time being clear and accurate, so ordinary folk like me can understand.Great video quality too.

Excellent review!! I actually just bought this one today, and this video is the most thorough out on the web. I wasn't aware the face is made of plastic. No biggie, but for the price I think it should have been metal. Thanks again.

We have the VSX-923 and the Yamaha RX-V675 in stock and the video reviews are in the pipeline. We are also going to do a Onkyo TX-NR626 vs Yamaha RX-V675 vs Denon AVR-X2000 vs Pioneer VSX-923 shootout.
The videos reviews take awhile to make & edit so it might not be for a few weeks.

Please next Pioneer vsx-923, or 1123 as it is here in north america. Trying to decide between these two.

Hi Christine vb, unfortunately there is no plan for an iOS version of the app yet as they haven't finished developing it for Android. You could always pick up a cheap tablet to use specifically as a remote, or maybe further down the line they will release an iOS version.

im really looking forward to the shootout as well, inherently i usually buy denons, but i find they dont bite or punch above there weight, sometimes they can sound a little mousey. did you find that the denon x2000 sounded punchy and weighty without sounding too bright? in work so will watch the vid later. in fact i will watch all the avland vids and store you in my favs!!!

Another one for the cons is no preouts for left right center or surround only a single sub out.

Hi, Watched this review and the Onkyo TX-NR626. They are currently for sale at Richer sound for the same price. Which would you recommend?

Was actually going to ask for a shootout, most helpful avr review I seen last year and why I did not pull the trigger on last years pioneer! I dont know if its a north american thing but you cannot find good reviews here in north amerca of avr's.... and shootouts? I have a better chance of winning the lottery.

Looking at one on offer in 2020,is it still relevant in 2020? Or should I invest in something more current?

I have an aux cable and I want to connect my phone to the receiver to play music. How do I do this? There seems to be no aux port anywhere

You say that the sound quality of Spotify is "still compressed, not very high quality". What do you mean by that? You can turn on high quality in your Spotify-settings and it will make your music sound as good as uncompressed (as far as the quality of this amp goes, anyway).

I can not find the My Av app in the App Store. Is it not available anymore?
I'm also doubting between the Denon AVR-X2000 and Pioneer VSX-923.
Which would be the better choise you reckon?

It's not available for iOS, it's Android only. But it is on Google Play, search for "MyAV"

Thanks for the in dept review. Could you please give the name of an iOS app for the iPad or iPhone, similar to the android app you review at the end.

I really bugs me that Denon have covered the heat sink with a component board to get toasted above it, vertical boards guys, or heat deflectors, sort it out.

I ve just bought one used on eBay for the master bedroom, going to use it for 5.1 and zone 2 in the bathroom possibly. Looks like a great amp, how do you find the features in 2024? Can you use the new Denon app or is it stuck with the older denon phone app? 🙂
