I love this song when I was 9 years old and I will love it just as much when and if I reach 90 years old.
My kids who are 6, 8 and 11 years old sing this song all of the time a long with many other legendary classics and great songs from way back in the past that they have fallen in love with after having heard me listening to them over a period of time, it is always nice to hear them sing such great songs instead of the usual nonsense that most youngsters are drawn to now days. I am pleased they have grown to appreciate great and meaningful music!

King, and especially the song "Stand By Me" is from my time, a young Marine facing things and things to come that most never see nor experience in their lifetime, Mr. King and "Stand By Me" is my major connection to my young past, times gone and never again to be, and loved ones gone.
