Waiting for Another Train to Roll By

- On my way back from the grocery store I had to stop and allow the train go by. I had little choice but to stop. Our town sits on the Canadian Pacific east/west mainline, and we receive a lot of train traffic. The town only has one bridge above the tracks and three other crossings that are grated. The bridge is located on the west side of town and too far for me to walk. So, I wait. Fortunately the train was less than three minutes long. Quite short compared to some of the freight trains.

At ~0:51 a DM&E covered hopper (I think) passed by. DME used to be Dakota Minnesota and Eastern Railroad which was a class two railroad in the US. I think CP bought them out. Anyways I used to see DM&E trains all the time from my office window in grad school. Good times watching trains!
We get about 30 plus a day. We see all kinds of US cars on the line, some diesels like Kansas
A CN with a CP trailing. I love a good train. Take care!
Don't see it too much, but now and again we see CN. CN line runs east of us on a north/south route to Edmonton
Don’t you just love trains 🚂
I do, I do, I do!
Great footage! I was waiting on a coin toss onto the tracks. I kind of want to sneak on to one and ride the rails
I used to think about that when I was a teen, but then I watched the movie Box Car Bertha and had a change of heart
Great video, definitely a train lol
Yep, we get lots of them
Had alot of friends work for CN over the years
Me as well
I always wonder what is being transported.
It is usually grain from the prairies heading to Vancouver to ship overseas, and lots of other stuff
LOL. I almost thought thsi was going ot be a Bryan Basketballs shout-out. LOL. I wonder how long the let the graffiti stay on the card before they cover it up.
Quite a long time if they don't cover the codes/numbers on the cars. I always wanted to do a project on these train artists. Some are very talented
Where is this at and CN Train pulling CP Engine
On Cp's mainline heading west from Calgary
