I kinda just watched this to get help because I'm making my own and my doors aren't working and I tried to tweak it but still doesn't work. My costumes are working but the variables aren't, if you shut a door you can't open it again. I have a forever, then it has if touching mouse-pointer and mouse down, if Shut = true, wait 0.1 seconds, set Shut false and also the over way around, any help?
If you want you can make different offices with the different buttons on and the door closed which saves some time having to make the objects track mouse position, and also works really well
I know this is quite old... but... i found an easier way to flip the right door around. so i used the directional rotation mode, and i fliped it -90 degrees, fits perfectly on the right side. i just had to modify the X position of it a little, but it works.
yo for anyone out there trying to make the door closing animation look a little more appealing, make the first half of the frames move a little less than the last half so it starts closing slower then speeds up, adding some weight to it. you might want to make a separate animation for it opening though instead of just reversing the closing animation if you do this.
My Right door wont shut and the lights not working and it was weird that my right door and buttons didn't move with my screen so I didn't have to fix them. Do you know what's wrong with the doors?
If your door is continuously opening and closing just go to the door button sprite and get the when sprite clicked block and add a new message and go to the door sprite and remove forever block and replace the starter message block with the new message block

Dk, my other door animation closing is outside of the office, and only appearing when i take away the office, and i can't see it in the office, how do i fix that?
This makes me hate everything, I gotta restart everything now because of my office and everything is now in the wrong place and I can't fix it, all that progress gone!!😢😢😢 almost threw my computer
My office was smaller but I still had the office movement to Mx/-1 so my mouse would be far from the edge but the office would stop so when I moved my mouse more the light button kept moving back to the center (I changed it to Mx/-2 and it was perfect) 🤦♂️

That's probably because even though your new game button is hidden, it's still running it's forever loop. After you click the new game button have it "stop this script."

at 1:29, alternatively, you could use a "backdrop of stage" block, and replace it to be "x position of office"

i fixed the door moving with me but the button COMPLETELY BROKE its following me and when i click it now nothing happens
