Growing up in the New York Snowbelt in the US (along Lake Ontario) we’d get so much snow that it would overtop our slip on boots so we’d wrap our feet with plastic bread bags just like you did with bags on your feet for your Welles.

I do the same thing with the plastic bags over my foot. A foot wound gets rewrapped every 2-3 days but still seeps so prevent it getting on my carpet, i use the bag.

I work on charter fishing boats and did commercial fishing in the Winter time for 8 years.
Tip - If you rubber boots get wet let a hair dryer blow into each one separately for about 5 minutes then rotate. They should dry out pretty quickly.
Also if you have an Electrical plug on your boat..a hair dryer warms up rubber boots quite nicely in the Winter.

Gday capt bailiwick great video and some god crabs and lobsters the measurment here for a cray is 98. 5 mm for the carapce and if caught by a rec fisher the centre fluke must be cut by law so they are distingishable from pro caught crays they have good catches in W.A but with everything the industry is under pressure at the moment here in S.A we are under another 3 year ban from taking snapper that will be 6 years when this one finishes no snapper caught by rec fishers at all .

So, Saturday just gone, were you out in your SuperDinghy? Miss Bliss and I were cycling up to Cobo. Did I spy your motor at the west end of Perelle Bay? Then of course the red tractor up a piece. Glorious day for a chippie tea on the sea wall!
I know your other passion is your bike(s) - did you have a rag around Vazon beach for the sand racing? If so, we watched you guys from Fort Hommet.

Interesting you commented on the insurance. I have the same issue (April to October) so always take my boat out at the end of the season. I was hoping I could find an agent to optionally cover for longer if I want to extend the season for a bit. No way I'd be out all winter with these SouthWesterlies.

I have two pressing questions. 1. the bag method if your rain boots get wet, don't you just get athletes foot all the time? 2. How did they get wet in the first place?
