Dear viewers: the art, design, and other work I needed just to get this thing started took a bit longer than expected, so I'm sorry for the delay, but I hope you like the results. As for the release schedule for this series, I aim to get the early-game videos published once every few days. Beyond that, I'm planning to shift to once a week, and I hope that's not too optimistic. I have a decent idea of when and how I'll use each unit, but depending on my growths, this could get... complicated. For many long-time viewers, the strategies I will use for the first several chapters of this run are going to look awfully familiar, but I challenge you to spot the minor optimizations I've made since I last presented those maps. And who knows, maybe you'll enjoy the additional story content too! I’ll be posting some extra content in this LP's thread on SomethingAwful (link in the description), so be sure to check there to see things like my support tracking and financial planning.
Thank you for all the effort you put in Zoran, the quality of your videos cannot be understated and is super appreciated and worth it no matter how long it takes
Very nice. I appreciate taking the time to slow down a bit a lot more than I thought I would. It's so easy to blitz through the prologue and just skip everything because you've seen it before, but there's a lot of detail there that can't really be appreciated until you've played the game once. But I'll be honest, I definitely wouldn't be sitting through these early chapters if the creator was anyone else. I'm very interested to see how the early chapters here will differ from the smaller mini-series' done in the past (Roots of Fate and the very recent no-growths one), because this series' tone seems fairly different so I imagine there's several non-trivial differences (even if many are in the production/presentation).
This seems like such an interesting idea for a series! I always check out of lots of playthroughs of Conquest despite it being my favorite Fire Emblem because the let's player just, y'know, uses all the best units, or all the same units. This run is very up my alley.
4:48 Every friendship set for Corrin? Now that's quite ambitious. I normally push for getting C-support between Corrin and as many characters as possible (due to Corrin's personal skill), but getting that many A-supports is a different beast, especially if you're not using the Private Quarters.
This playthrough has been a long time coming and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes, especially since I was not expecting a script rewrite mod showcase. Let's just hope that your units don't accidentally take a trip to the No Growths Zone
He's finally back performing for you. If you know the words you can join in too. I've been interested to see this run in action since the Ch17 video and I'm so excited that it's here. This is going to be super fun, I'm sure.
So excited for this! I've been nonstop watching fire emblem content the past few months but your videos are some of the highest quality and easiest to digest that I've seen! Keep up the good work at your own pace!!
Nice, I’m hyped to see this challenge unfold. I saw it this morning an easy wondering what was up, finally got to read the description and am excited to see how this goes!
I feel like there has been A LOT of Fates content recently, but none of it is ever as good as yours, Zoran. I’m really looking forward to this! And I’m also looking forward to someone FINALLY using Arthur!
I know we're not talking about talents in depth here, but I've grown extremely fond of +mag -lck Dark Mage for Corrin, as Fire is one of the few E rank weapons that don't completely suck thanks to Corrin's good magic and 1-2 range that doubles, which makes them a great solo unit with servant pair up, and the fact that no crit/skill proc is great for feeding units. And of course, 8 mov class with mixed offense on an unit that has actual mixed potential. Now granted, this is after playing lots and lots of Revelations where Corrin is mostly on his/her own unlike Conquest which has lots of teamwork going for it.
Excited to see this unfold. Training every character is something I've always wanted to do, but never thought of how to logistically do that. I wish there was an option to remove deploy limits on 2nd playthroughs, or something to that effect
Honestly, I was hoping to beat you to the punch. I attempted a similar challenge to this a few times, but those runs all ended in failure. It's tough😅 Looking forward to seeing how you do it!
4:35 I am trying to do a recruit everyone run of rev. Just managing the S supports is a nightmare. The fact that you are doing that and also going for friendship is mighty impressive here.
ahh I love how your taking your time slowly going over stuff makes it very easy to take in and I greatly look forward to seeing more of your Conquest analysis.
Zoran once again coming through with the best production values in FE-Tube and (what I expect to be) top-tier gameplay strategies. I'm hoping this playthrough will get your subscriber count to what it deserves to be. On a smaller note, I've thought that Dragon Veins have been a bit underappreciated by fans. They open up a number of novelty map designs (though I realize not all of those are well-liked), can provide decent incentives for playing quickly (or at least benchmarks on what the map designers thought an efficient run would look like), and provide genuine tactical decisions about if and when to make use of them, as a number of the Conquest DVs aren't strictly beneficial to the player.
I know the chapter can be cheesed, but I love how the DVs transform the map on Chapter 22 (Sakura). When played straight, the back-and-forth rhythm across the two paths makes it really fun to progress through.
I like the Dragon Veins in Conquest 20. Using them to turn the map's wind gimmick in your favor and surprise the enemies with a player phase assault is always fun, and it makes the map a lot less mentally taxing than if you're always fighting against it.
A brand new Conquest series with the legend that is Zoran? Count me in! And on top of everything else, you'll be capturing all bosses? My captureable-obsessed heart is singing! Looking forward to where things go. As for GGG, I remember enjoying many of the changes AgahnimD has made, but it's been a number of years since I experienced it. I know more recently I've seen more critique of the story antagonizing the Hoshidan siblings excessively, but those are second-hand accounts. Hopefully this series will make me both appreciate Conquest more and be able to form my own opinion of this retold story again. And as one of the handful of people who made the mistake of working on a Fates rewrite, this is good study material.
omg im literally doing my out ggg iron man run and then i stumble across this video... giggling the ggg mod is super underrated and well done im so haopy that someone has decided to showcase it
Very cool video! Looking forward to watching this entire series. I love the Fire Emblem games, but I still struggle with the later Conquest chapters even on Normal difficulty.
Hey, look guys, Zoran is back! :D I can't wait to watch all these. It's definitely not a challenge I'll ever attempt since I have enough trouble planning what to do with my units and where they'll go to. I often don't shy away from MyCastle either, though I tend not to go online to buy Seals and what not. F the Chef's Hat though, whoever thought it was a good idea to make Quartz impossible to obtain in Conquest without going online... It would have been fine if it was a random drop or a Lottery thing (or even Keaton's skill), so I usually grab one online, then build up the necessary amount through Arena. I actually need to finish my current run, but again, no idea what I want to do exactly. I'm very curious to see how you'll handle the Paralogues, like Siegbert's one for example. Especially because I want to do a video on beating up Tacomeat with as many different units as I can in one playthrough haha. Anyway, I love the quality in the video, so let's goooooo!
This is so cool. I love using every unit, leveling all of them up equally. I tried doing this on Conquest but got really busy in life. I love it. This is one of the reasons I like Thracia and its fatigue system. You probably already know this but support buffs are a Godsend in playthroughs like this one. Unfortunately for you, it seems you won’t be able to grind them in my castle battles, so I guess pick your support partners carefully. I can’t wait to see your playthrough.
I'm really excited for this playthrough especially when the late game starts. Some of the chapters seem impossible so I'm curious what type of strategies you will use.
Looking forward to watching the rest of this series. How did you get the resolution so clean? I didn't even know it was possible to get a 3DS game looking this crisp, even on am emulator.
It appears you're using the HD version of the cutscene(s), perhaps from the blu-ray? If so, how did you splice it into the game, if that's what you did? Also, perhaps you stated in other videos of this series you're using an emulator with HD textures--looks great, btw--are you using any other mods, or just textures? These are excellent videos. Your narration is spot-on and seemingly scripted (and pleasant to listen to, to boot). Anyway, keep up the great work!
I’ve been dreaming about this ever since catching up with your Adventures in the No Growth Zone (which in itself is a cool name), so to see it unfold live will be an amazing journey. Since everyone is being used until level 5 promoted minimal, I’m already thinking ahead on what this benchmark represents to units: General for Wary Fighter, Berserker for Rally Strength, Wyvern Lord for Rally Defense, Paladin for Defender, etc. Other classes I have no idea how will play out, since some of them have level 5 skills that aren’t that appealing, like most proc skills. The Friendship extra rule will probably my favorite aspect of this run. Friendship Seals open up some of the most interesting possibilities in the whole game - the most obvious example is Berserker Camilla from A+ Beruka, but there are so many other options that I cannot wait to see them all unfold. I never played this mod of Good Guy Garon, so it will be fun to show off the changes they pulled off. To me, Conquest is the Fire Emblem equivalent of the Bee Movie: the story is ass, but the experience (aka gameplay) is engaging and the characters are very funny, so I always find myself going back for more. I’m never bored playing Conquest, I always want to squeeze out more things from it. I’m very excited to watch all of it unfold!
One thing I don't really get is that you see characters that weren't part of the army on either sides until the middle of the respective routes so it makes no sense to have them. Though this whole sequence is weird
It's nuts just how the first chapter drives home that Hoshido is the good guy underdog and Nohr is the big bad evil people Like, Hans brings in this massive army, Saizo gets his shit absolutely rocked, and the Nohrian royals are almost all promoted. It also does a good job os showing that Ryoma is too badass to get much exp
Today I learned: The chefs hat determines who uses the mess hall (Which is crazy peri is now a sleeper top tier character) Nyx never shows up as a red unit outside of this one specific chapter How and where to install a ton of cool cosmetic mods Zoran, god rest his soul, actually dumped his real game onto emulator rather than just downloading a rom This series is gonna be so valuable to my scrubby my castle reward box using ass
i don’t actually mind conquest’s story too much as-is, although i know i’m in the minority there. still, i appreciate you going with a mod rewrite instead of just making fun of it like literally everyone else, which is getting a little tiring. can’t wait to see how this series plays out!
For clarification, do characters simply need to unlock a friendship set or will you actually use all of those unlocked friendship classes even if only for a map? Not even sure if that is possible to get that many friendship seals with money and exp route as I am not THAT familiar with Conquest
Is there any guide or anything I can reference on how to specifically get the resource patch working? I put it into the romfs folder and can't seem to get anything to change, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be doing it in a certain way or if I'm supposed to put a specific code file in or whatever.
Never noticed this before but why are Nyx, Keaton, and Kaden present in the prologue? They weren't part of the hoshidan or nothing armies so their presence makes no sense.
I was installing your HD mod but for some reason I don't have the custom weapon sprites that you have for your game. I am still stuck with the vanilla weapon sprites. I followed the directions right (at least I think so) and while the graphics and resolution certainly improved It's not loading the custom weapon sprites that you have. Again only the vanilla sprites. Is there anything you can do to help me?
that's such a good Camilla mod wow, she doesn't look like she was designed by a dumb highschool teenager now also, did you use a filter for the background image of the royals or did you draw it yourself? your graphic design skills are very impressive too
I love this concept, I like to play every characters as well but people tend to have their preferences so it gets boring to watch these playthrough after a while but this is going to be interesting ! BTW do you play on emulator or original console ? Because it looks so sharp and beautiful !
There have been a couple times before this when Fire Emblem lied to you about the objective. One example that comes to mind is Part 3 Endgame of Radiant Dawn. It says you need to rout the enemy, but it'll end prematurely after eighty units of any affiliation (player, enemy, or NPC) have been defeated. (This also isn't a distinction without a difference, since it's very much possible for the map to end with most of the enemies still alive. There are 84 enemies on the map at the beginning on Normal and Hard, the highest initial enemy count in the series, there are plenty of enemy reinforcements, and you also have seventeen green allies in the form of Skrimir, Tibarn, and their subordinates, and they bring eleven units of their own as reinforcements who all tend to suicide into the enemies.)
I assume you’re staying with F!corrin then. Without marriage to Niles(invalidates the recruit everybody) or Nina (terrible marriage unit) you won’t be able to get outlaw friendship.
@@Zoran501 I had genuinely forgotten that shura exists. God I need to replay conquest. Ive only used him once and that was when I ended up putting him in berserker. Surprisingly good, given an arms scroll.
I'd like to ask a few questions, if you don't mind. How are you getting a Chef's Hat? I assume you're using Citra, so could you explain in detail how you do it? Also, what will you do about forgin; or rather, when you don't have the necessary materials to forge something? Will you farm ores? Same thing for meals. If you don't get the desired result so many time that you lose all your ingredients, will you farm ingredients?
You can give accessories to specific characters using FEFTwiddler. I can give myself unlimited resources using the same app, but I also have a mod that mostly eliminates the resource problems. You’ll see that in Part 6.
@@Zoran501 I see. Thanks. But FETwiddler has a downside, right? Interim support points and fraction Dragon Vein points are lost when you edit the save. That's why I asked if you knew of an alternative.
@@Zoran501 Really? Regardless of what I edit, the Dragon Vein fractions always disappear (without me changing, or even touching, the Dragon Vein number). It isn't the same for you?
You may actually be right about the DVP issue, now that I think about it some more. I may have misremembered something when I was testing that a while ago
It’s not necessarily bad, since Astra is one of the offensive chance-based skills that has real defensive utility too, but it would be really annoying to use in this challenge!
@@Zoran501 I think it wouldn't matter to much for me as I'm not really going for child units unless it is to fill the support log in the record hall. Also, I can always ditch it

Absolutely love videos where someone fully explores a game dear to themselves. Damn classy presentation too.
Looking forward to the next one!
tfw you are, no joke, using Citra to play the backup ROM you legally dumped yourself from the copy of the game that you actually own
You can do this?! Holy shit, Ferb I know what we're gonna do for the next three months...
Conquest, but its an FE4 ranked run
Yes! The wait is over. I've been anxiously awaiting this ever since Zoran's most recent video.
I had never seen these cinematics in their full resolution versions, they actually look fantastic like holy heck
Tremendous
Radiant Dawn’s part 3 endgame also lies to the player about its win conditions

Best of luck!

I finally bought conquest after seeing one of these videos, and im having a blast with it so far, excited to see how this run goes

Oh wow I'm incredibly excited for this! Conquest is my favorite Fire Emblem game and I've always loved what you do with it!
Zoran once again coming through with the best production values in FE-Tube and (what I expect to be) top-tier gameplay strategies. I'm hoping this playthrough will get your subscriber count to what it deserves to be.
On a smaller note, I've thought that Dragon Veins have been a bit underappreciated by fans. post your favorite Dragon Vein. Mine is the one in Conquest 10, but only when I activate it myself
I know the chapter can be cheesed, but I love how the DVs transform the map on Chapter 22 (Sakura). When played straight, the back-and-forth rhythm across the two paths makes it really fun to progress through.
@@jonathanlgill 22 is so cool when you play it as intended.

This is so cool. I attempted to play Conquest this way then realized you can't grind the same way in Conquest like you can in some other FE games.
Very cool video! Looking forward to watching this entire series. I love the Fire Emblem games, but I still struggle with the later Conquest chapters even on Normal difficulty.
Amazing content. Very rarely do I see genounie appreciation for the good aspects of fates. I love the tone and pace
LET'S GOOOOOOOO. Super hyped about this playthrough from the God of Fates himself.
The man is back! I cannot wait to see what insanity you've come up with :)
Me: this sounds really nice, a lot of characters don’t get love
Also me: wait he isn’t gonna train Rinkah in the tutorial, is he
Love your work! Looking forward to the run!
This is a very interesting challenge. I look forward to seeing you tackle it
I could not be more excited
Not the only time a game has lied about a map objective. Genealogy chapter 5 and Radiant Dawn 3-E both come to mind.
Rewatching the series for like the 10th time now and ivw always wondered, would you do this kind of challenge in another FE game?
Absolutely not, lol

that's such a good Camilla mod wow, she doesn't look like she was designed by a dumb highschool teenager now
also, did you use a filter for the background image of the royals or did you draw it yourself? your graphic design skills are very impressive too
it's done mainly with an effect in Pixelmator
So, this is going to be your last Conquest playthrough before taking a break from Fates for a while, right?
almost certainly yes
Does the good guy Garon mod affect other routes? Because if so, I wonder how it changes Revelation
As far as I know, no
I love this concept, I like to play every characters as well but people tend to have their preferences so it gets boring to watch these playthrough after a while but this is going to be interesting !
BTW do you play on emulator or original console ? Because it looks so sharp and beautiful !
Hell yeah!
How can I get my FMV cutscenes to look like yours in Citra? Those look astoundingly good!
I actually got those from the limited-edition official soundtrack DVD, and incorporated them into the videos through the magic of editing.
Oh hell yeah
Without marriage to Niles(invalidates the recruit everybody) or Nina (terrible marriage unit) you won’t be able to get outlaw friendship.
you're forgetting someone
FEFTwiddler won’t disrupt those counts if you never interact with the Dragon Vein points field or the support-editing menu.
Let's go \o/
Will you be continuing no growth zone?
Does the Good Guy Garon mod affect gameplay at all or is it just a script rewrite
just the script
Is it bad for me to have Astra on my Corrin?
It’s not necessarily bad, since Astra is one of the offensive chance-based skills that has real defensive utility too, but it would be really annoying to use in this challenge!
@@Zoran501 I think it wouldn't matter to much for me as I'm not really going for child units unless it is to fill the support log in the record hall. Also, I can always ditch it
oh god. I cant even beat conquest on hard...
bett
Wait leveling up everyone to a higher level is a challenge? I thought that’s how you are supposed to play the game
Cq ranked lmao
