It's so sad you don't feel like you competed in Eurovision. You were fantastic the last 2 years, all your videos of covers, think about things and ten years. I think you're boss. I suppose you'll just have to get the gang back together and have another gooooo
Look guys, you might have started this as a joke, but in all seriousness, you guys are very talented and refreshing. We need more like this these days. Your music and videos bring me joy
I love Think about Things too, but I think the German song would have had a very good chance too. but don't confuse the German song from 2020 and 2021 ... I meant the one from 2020 with Ben Dolic
@@maxmustermann611 I had to stop and think about what the German song was lol. It was an ear worm for sure and I quite liked it but I didn't see it feature in many, of the unofficial votes around Europe and Aus. it certainly wasn't in the Aussie top three, Dadi was the Australian top pick along with Russia and the Roop
I think the fact why it all worked out so well was because they didn’t seem like they went in all of this with an intention to become extra famous or huge, they were just people expressing themselves and having fun and that’s why I loved it so so much. This “fake band” ,that, I’m sorry, I don’t know how to spell, were so unapologetically themselves you just couldn’t not love them. My personal favourites, with all your rough journey to Eurovision, I really hoped you’d win because you truly deserved it
literally never in my life did i watch somebodies 45 minute video just talking, but with you guys it was so interestig and the two of you are so sincere and nice, you seem like genuinly good people, wish you and your family all the best ❤
Haha after watching the Eurovision movie I thought - ha - Iceland found a way of winning Eurovision without actually having to go to the expense of hosting the following year!!! Bit extreme! I would love it if Dadi and Montaigne were both invited to perform on the big stage during the final!!
I'm now pregnant and also in a long loving relationship. Both Think About Things and 10 Years, makes a lot of sense to me. Thank you for these wonderful songs!!! Eurovision will never be the same without you guys!!!! 💕🇨🇱
You simply seem like the most lovely people in the entire universe. And at the same time you are making the best ever music. You are such a huge inspiration, and you have my deepest respect. Lots of love to everyone
To have a song written about your first born for Eurovision AND a second chance to compete with a song written about your life with your wife, is a very special accomplishment ! You’re such an amazing couple ! I love your music and although I don’t understand Icelandic, I love to listen and try to sing along (I have a knack of being able to learn foreign language songs in next to no time !) Hoping to hear some new stuff soon and hope you both compete in future Söngvakeppnin contests - Iceland really needs to win at least once ! Love and best wishes from Manchester, England xx
From Texas, I found Dadi and Arny early during the pandemic. I had seen the Will Ferrell movie and was actually exploring ESC songs and a 2020 song compilation when I heard 'Think About Things'. I was really taken with the aesthetic and synth-funk sound. Since then, I've consumed tons of Dadi's music (even plenty in Icelandic), and have followed them on Instagram through the birth of their second child. During which time I actually received a response or two from Arny which was super wholesome. I really love how they are authentic, economical, thoughtful and happy. Also, that they make great effort to bring their fans in to be a part of that joy and share their real lives. It's just not something I've experienced with other artists in the past and it's totally restored my joy for music even outside of Dadi's. So thanks for everything, guys! Keep it up!
I've never been this captivated by a Eurovision group. Everything about both performances captures everything I love about Eurovision. The costuming, the choreography, the song content, the singing quality, the music quality, it's all so much fun but with a heartwarming message. It's great to see that your entries seem to be authentic and reflect your personalities.
So lovely to see how every member of a band that was never a real band to begin with had their own special place in it. Also lovely to see you two together. You both are so down to earth, humorous and kind. ❤️
So cool to know that you are still an independent artist. Thank you for sharing your story. You are so wonderfully creative and humble. I tip my hat to you.
You said you don't feel like you actually competed 😢 I know you said that this would probably be the end of your Eurovision journey, but I hope you give it another shot at some point (maybe not for quite some time)! Whatever happens I'm excited to get to see more of you!
Still almost crying reliving that moment of you not being able to perform in Eurovision! However, you guys are an amazing couple and both amazingly creative people. Dadi, cant wait to see you in Amsterdam!
I am french-canadian and this was the first year ever I was following Eurovision, and I was rooting so hard for you guys ! Be proud of yourselves for this mighty accomplishment, you were amazing ! Daði, I love your voice and your infectious beats, and I hope to see you someday here in Quebec. ❤️
Thank you for your music. 'Think About Things' and '10 years' for the longest time were the only way I could get my then 1 and now 2 year old daughter to stop screaming or crying during one of her tantrums. I cannot express how much I appreciate you guys for what you have done to help me as a mother. Calm children = happy mother lol. Can't wait to see you in Chicago!
I'm a 75 yr old retired US Army Master Sgt. Love your music and videos, and this was a great video that really showed your personalities so that I, and probably everyone who watched the entire video, feel that I've gotten to know you two. Continued success with your music!!!!
I am a homeschooling mom who also teaches at a co-op. I teach a class called "Globetrotters" for middle schoolers. We are currently studying Iceland, and I discovered your videos through my research. I played some of your songs to my students, and you now have some very devoted fans here in North Carolina, USA! Though they laughed at first because of some of the dance moves, they said, "He actually has a really, really good voice!" I'm hoping to take a trip to Iceland one day!
I was in Iceland in 2017, my wife was pregnant and we were having a day off of walking around Reykjavik so she could rest and I watched you perform on TV, I thought you were great, have loved you since ☺️
You guys were my favourite act in Eurovision 2021. I loved the acts from Italy and Ukraine too, but you were my favourite because you brought such happy energy. I'm extremely proud of you, thank you for bringing some fun and whimsy after a hard year of covid ❤️🇮🇸
I originally found you by going down the RUclips "rabbit hole" and have been a fan ever since. So glad you made this and we got to see you and hear your story in a whole new light! Can't wait to see what your future brings to us next!!!
There aren’t words to express how much I love you two. I have never found an artist that is not only super talented but just a genuinely kind, funny, lovely person. Good luck to you and Arny for the future - you deserve all the things you will achieve 🙌
Thank you guys. I'm from Brazil, most people here don't even know anything about Eurovision and I love it, but almost alone. The 2021 was the first I saw everything and got really evolved in it. You guys were my favorites and your song, Dadi, still playing in my playlists. The whole "Welcome" EP is on my playlists actually and I show to everybody because you made a really good work. I would love if Eurovision 2022 allows a live performance of you in Turin, you guys deserve so much. I'm so happy for "discovering" your music last year.
Still watching! No need to shout out to me. I’m just so happy you both are sharing yourselves with the world. You are beautiful people. Hearing how you live your lives gives me hope for humans, and comfort knowing I’m not alone in this world.
ok guys, this is some creativity, you ltrly made something out of nothing. this definitely did not ruin my view of you and your friends band, im actually even more amazed, truly an inspiration
Creative, modest, talented. Congratulations on your now enlarged family. Continue the good work. Your song 10 years was my personal favourite vocals, lyrics and the entire concept was great.
Daði, you were the reason I got into Eurovision in 2020 and 2021, so it really was a bummer that of all the artists, you were the ones who couldn't perform live (though I'm Canadian so I couldn't vote anyway). But I truly thought you made the best of it and gave a great performance! I think it was a very special Eurovision and not just because of COVID. At the end of the day, even if things didn't go the way we a had hoped, it was still a unique experience as a result.
2021 was my first Eurovision. A friend of mine who lives in the UK streamed it to our Teamspeak server, and I couldn't believe how much I loved you guys. Shoutout to you, Daði and Arni!
No...you WON Eurovision in 2020....when we needed something nice, guys...you did it....so, you are the winners for all the entire world. The song was amazing and we will remember it as it is...the song who won and never need a festival to evidence it. Kises and hugs fron Galicia (Spain)😉👍

fun fact about the choir for 10 years: jendrik (the german act & also a dadi freyr fan) also participated in it by sending his voice in, so he actually participated in two acts in eurovision :D

You won something far greater than Eurovision ……you won our hearts ♥️
Please keep doing what you do, you make the world a better place to be 🙏
