- In this video you will see a detailed comparison of the two trainer / Light fighters. Which do you think is more advanced?
Russian air force Yakovlev Yak-130 and Leonardo M-346
Like a planer they are identicaly, and after that start differences. M-346 is 1000 pound lighter than Y-130, because of using composite materials. Engines in M-346 are 3kN more powerful that Y-130, Max Speed of M-346 is 1255km/h, while Y-130 is 1050 km/h. There are big difference in reliability, specific fuel consumptions and endurance of the engines, too.
Yes,Bangladesh bought 18 yak from rasia and 3 crushed in 2 years.

In a sense they are twins, like two children of an Italian-Russian couple, one has taken more the Russian side and one more the Italian side.
Greetings from Italy.
There was 25% of Yakovlev in yak-130 and 50% of Aermacchi... so your theory is false.
@@Bialy_1 The moment when they are not similar in any way except outwardly, in the 90s Yakovlev's department needed money and they started looking for them on the side of technical documentation was already there and the initial prototypes too... here, on the contrary, aermacci has 10% of the strength in the Yak-130 project, as well as Yakovlev has 10% of the Italian version...
one could say a successful collaboration between Russia and Italy. in fact, it rewards the Italian aircraft because there are commercial agreements. it also combines the advantage of being able to sell a plane to more countries, given that it is a training aircraft and that Italy has the opportunity to sell to the West as well as to the East. A good success.
If Italian didn't provide financing in 90 neither the Yakovlev will be available, nor Yak-130.
That's way this was good success for russians. Plus they got new technology in computer design and engineering, which in this moment missing in Russia.
@@jei1703 in truth there is more. We needed gas. Then the European agreements and you give me the gas at an agreed price and we build the pipelines. Then a collaboration began for the lynx, Italy has limited number of production while Russia could make more. Normally a military or civilian vehicle is amortized in costs on the number of production. Then St Microelectronics electronics (France/Italy), supplied technology to Russia. But in any case the ones that supplied the most were the French collaboration with civil aeronautical engines and many other things. Then the Germans if not before the French.
This is not a joint project, but a purely Russian project with Italian money. Italians have no brains to invent airplanes and especially engines, because there is no and never was an aircraft design school. The engines on the Italian airplane are Russian, they just named them with their badges.
It's a same aircraft with different flag, after cold war Russia and Italy are closed Comrades, they've been in many project ever since.
Comparing both of them ? Why ? This two aircraft basically the same, the only difference is the avionics, engine and weapon load, it was joint project between Leonardo and Yakovlev.

So Aermacchi MB-339A is the same as Yak-130?! Why compare them and claim that Russians invented anything good?!
The m346 is the yak 130. The company had financial difficulties and sold/shared the design within the Italians to fund the development of the yak 130.
Funy when you consider that there was only 25% of Yakovlev in yak-130 but smehow this plane is yakovlev because?

Yak-130 speed 960mph?? It supposed to be M-346 which can speed up to 1500km/hour. While Yak's speed only 1040km per hour.
Chinese L-15 speed 1715 km/h. Chinese jet engine has a longer nozzle. It is the only difference
My heirloom paperplane my grand dad made...can go faster that both...
Maybe they add something new on the aircraft? that loweing the speed
@@Hidden_Trump Actually, the J-15 is the only one of the three to be equipped with afterburner, hence the longer nozzle and different rear fuselage. The M-346 does have a 1470 kph speed as a never-exceed one (above which the airframe will suffer damage, which I actually believe is roughtly the same between the two aircraft as they have nearly identical aerodynamics), but it can actually get to that (or even just supersonic) only with the help of a dive. The maximum speed it can reach by engine thrust alone is around 1250 (780 mph), higher than the one claimed in the video (maybe a typographical error, as it claims 680). According to what I dug up, the M-346 has slightly more powerful engines (6300 lbs thrust against 5510) than the Yak-140, thus it is simply natural that it is the faster of the two non-afterburning ones.
@@TheSergioTurbo l do not think there is a great demand for Yak-130 in Russia now. During Soviet times there were many L-29 and L-39 jets. And they were mostly manned by army conscripts of 19 y.o. All of them had attended air clubs and flied by gliders during their schooltime. Education and training was free of charge, and fuel was free too. At 18 y.o. they joined the army, got initial training for 1 year. And during their last year in army they flied by jets. It was a joy jet for teens in the old days

Same exterior design but one is a Lamborghini and the other is a Lada. Which one is better? What a stupid question.
What does this have to do with civilian cars? This is military equipment. One of them is a Soyuz rocket, and the other one?
The only country in the world is Russia, which can independently design and build airplanes of any class, both civil and military. In Boeing, half of the equipment and components come from different countries of the world. Airbus is made by four European countries, and only Russia designs and builds airplanes, as well as spaceships independently. Russia is a great country with great designers and engineers!

The Yak-130 seam to be more polyvalent than the M-346 in the light fighter/strike jet role, with the integration of multiple type of weapons (Air to air / Air to ground) and 8 hardpoint instead of 4 for the M-346. On the other hand the finishes of the skin looks better, more polish, on the M-346, I wonder how it impacts the RCS.
It was a joint venture, at the end it's the same plane but it's modified in base of the necessities of the company. Italy and Russia made a lot of joint venture
