Seen PJ three times, they are one of the last original grunge bands standing. Eddie Vedder is a maniac, but seeing him command the stage will give you chills.
I absolutely love them!! What a time to be alive…How awesome you got to see them in their prime. The fact so many great musicians of the 90’s have passed breaks my heart. Layne Staley & Chris Cornell where absolute legendary💔💯🙏🏻💕
Hazelden is just down the road - Pearl Jam was inspired by Minnesota hardcore punk of Husker Du and Replacements - the latter also dealing with the same drug addiction problems.
Looking back, so much death and destruction intertwined in that "scene" over the years. Did only the good ones die young? Appears there must be a crossroad in Seattle and the contracts have played out accordingly since. Considering who is still standing and who is not...makes me wonder.
i remember seeing Smells on MTV for the first time like it was yesterday; i took my nephew to see Ozzy, VH and Maiden before he could drive in the '80s. Gave him MacAlpine and such. Gravitated to PJ and all. Gigged....maybe not a waste of time,,,nope.
The 1st 20 years of my life Was incredible beautiful,,,then the next 20 was so fuck up badly,,, Only because the millennium sucks so bad People are so horrible now.. It's not like the eighties, I gotta say the nineties was f****** great compared to now,, That's all b******* with that number that suicide s***.. I tried it once and it was the biggest horror I have ever went through,, Trust me nobody can save your own life If you are not happy you are not happy Yes free will you have every right to take your own Sometimes life is just not f****** worth it
Go down to your local hospital and ask to talk to the childeren in the cancer ward. They would give anything to be guaranteed to wake up tomorrow let alone a regular life. To kill yourself is a cowards way out. The fact that they would throw away that which others would do anything for shows how truly weak they are. To understand that your life is a gift and even when your down and out you need something to bounce you back. Believe it or not, it can always get worse. Just go ask those cancer kids parents. Puts the perspective of a drug addicted rock star who had millions of fans and tons of money in a different light
