3DIO is clearer & probably better for ear specific triggers (like behind the ear massage), Rode NT1 has better bass & feels like it gets deeper into the ear, so probably better for ASMR in general.

Seriously avoid it at all costs. Or go to Gibi's Spotify which from my knowledge doesn't have ads at all.

I get the Impression that the deeper sounds are usually better using the Rode, while the 3DIO captured the higher sounds more nicely, which basically coincides with your Statement ... But what do I know ^^

rode gives a deep encompassing sound where when sounds come through they almost are enveloped in a blanket. 3dio feels emptier and sound are more sharp and crisp in it.
The Rode is very saturated, as aposed to the 3 Dio being very light, almost muted. I really enjoy the Rode for upclose whispering, but the 3 Dio is relaxing in it's own way as well. With the 3 Dio sounds feel close to, if not almost behind you. With the Rode it's almost as if the sounds are happening inside your ear, if that makes sense. I love them both.

It is because in the rhode mic the actual “membrane” that detects sound is more out in the open so it picks up more air movement from the whispering, especially when good ol Gibi here says the letter “p”. Compared to the 3 Dio which has the sensor hidden farther inside the body of the microphone
Okay so to make your research valid i wrote all my preferences down by every trigger Whisper: rode Brush: 3DIO Scissors: 3DIO Liquid: 3DIO Bottle tapping: rode Paper movement ish: rode Writing: rode Lotion bottle tapping: rode Microphone touching: 3DIO Wood tapping: rode Cup: 3DIO I found the touching and brushing of the rode sounded very harsh because of the loose fibers from the cover, and like you said, the rode i really like for the lower sounds, and the talking too. The cover here makes it sound softer instead of the direct sounds from the 3DIO. It's the difference between pastel and neon colours, you know? I hope this helps 😄 Another great video!

The Rode NT1 is better for things like role plays or things were you don’t want the microphone on camera. The 3DIO is better for close up things like mic brushing.
ASMR TIP Ive found that if you have apple earbuds, then putting the right earbud backwards in your left ear and the left one backward in your right ear, it doesnt hurt to lay down with them in.
I was watching another awesome asmrtist , I think it was the French guy and holy heck so many tingles I realized part of it was that the sounds looked like they were coming from the right but you'd hear it in the left and vice versa. It definitely enhances the experience!
The writing and paper wiggling was glorious 😭 full video plz if you can ❤️ I think I like the rode a little better. I tend to like closer, more bassy, more “inside” the ear sounds and I feel like the 3dio sounds a bit more distant.

I personally prefer 3DIO for whispering, the Rode picks up too much air from the breathing and the P, B, and T sounds are too harsh for me. For the rest of the triggers tho, the Rode sounds cooler :)

I personally prefer 3DIO for whispering, the Rode picks up too much air from the breathing and the P, B, and T sounds are too harsh for me. For the rest of the triggers tho, the Rode sounds cooler :)

@@riancorcino They don’t speak American English. I don’t know where they’re from but in the U.K. for example, learned=learnt, spelled=spelt, and so on and so forth.
its really spelled with a danish Ø as in: Røde :D
