I can only recall buying one JB tool, a JB Platinum vacuum pump. It is an absolute Tank. Maybe they will send one to you or someone still grinding it out every day to see how they work. If it’s half a tough as the platinum pump it would be an awesome set of gauges. That said I don’t think anyone can make a set of digital gauges as tough as their vacuum pumps.

I haven’t used manifold gauges in years. I either use the Fieldpiece probes or standalone compound gauges.

Lol I actually had those JB gauges for few years than I gave them away. I had refcos probes as well and gave them away. The refcos manifold gauge set up looks like a variant from digicool. JB has wireless probes, temp clamp and temp/psychrometer but no pressure probes they only link up to there manifold. They are definitely playing catch up with everything, they got a battery operated vac pump and 12 cfm pump now, the battery’s are Milwaukee. At this point in time techs are gearing towards probe set ups and non manifold why they wouldn’t have a pressure probe Is weird maybe they haven’t released it.With testo and fieldpiece these company’s are going to have to think outside the box to be able to compete with them.

I have the refco gauge, 4 port… measures -15 psi, not in/hg. Garbage, goes into a dark sleep mode in 30 seconds or so, so you have to keep touching it to light it up… the temperature clamp performs ok in most areas except in the field. Tested against other tools. The best thing in the kit are the hoses, and thats not saying much.

Im not sure how great the value gauge is, i bought a digital value manifold vdg-s1-2, still have a R404 kit to use on domestic AC, if it works out the refco is being shot at, but i still think the fieldpiece kit is the right way to be going for all tech’s, but here in new zealand, we have a bad relationship with fieldpiece support so its sad that i cant safely use the gear knowing i can get it fixed, really wanted the leak detector aswell, but have the inficon now at 2x the price…
