Love Bloomington and IU, but what unfortunate editing: as soon as the narrator says IU will help you develop the "skills that put you on the path to success, " the video cuts to a person flipping burgers... REALLY???? (I think we can do better!)
My experience with IU was horrible. The University helped some people from out of state copy one of my literary works that I submitted to a creative writing class and pass it off as their own work. The University is not here to help you succeed, only to commit fraud against unsuspecting students.
@@greggmatzner5157 it's not your fault. Social injustice is big business at IU. Hypothetically if certain types of injustice ceased to exist, like racism, many faculty and students would have to get real lives and jobs. In other words, many people at IU have a vested interest in keeping the world divided by keeping real, perceived and even fabricated social injustice alive otherwise they will no longer be relevant. It's also an excuse for some people to commit fraud. I hate using the word "woke" but the stuff I witnessed in Bloomington only divides people. I was a student a long time ago, America is much more divided now.
Had to stop watching, the cut between scenes was just too fast and furious, making my feel like I was going to have a seizure. Also, have to agree with the comment further down about the narration 'preparing for jobs' with a cut to a guy flipping burgers.
Check out the hazing and drug allegations before coming :) not a safe campus. No spring break and no fall break but a crappy wellness day. They do not care about their students they care about money.
In 10 years IU will have had 2 generations of students who have no knowledge of what it feels like to have a national basketball championship. Quality recruits will not be available, alumni dollars will dry up, the culture will not be one of athletic accomplishments. Even though swimming and soccer provide national championships, In order to continue the culture, you have to have championships in basketball or football. The good thing is that the education is still there but that facet will have to be cranked up 10 fold to make up for sports failures.

hahaha
whats wrong with flipping burgers?
@@totothepopo48 It's honest work, but hardly a path to success!
@@totothepopo48 who pays 40k dollars as fee to flip burgers at the end
no idea what ppl are saying about the editing but this was beautiful and captivating
One of my favorite movie BREAKING AWAY was filmed here
I was in the crowd scene at Tenth St. Stadium (where the arboretum is now to the west of the library).

As a very happy IU graduate I’m so sorry you had that experience.
