As much as THQ could be inconsistent with the series, It was always clear they were fans of WWE and loved wrestling, how games could tell stories that RL WWE couldn't like the Candice wand magic in SVR 2007. That honestly would be something Vince would do if he could.

Having the player toss Triple H into the screen in gameplay instead of a cutscene was my evolution as a designer - trying to give the player as much storytelling through gameplay as possible.
Mega Magazine was a bit based on Mean Magazine, which I wrote for occasionally before working at THQ. Legal had to check that it was okay to use. That Vince speech was fun to write, too. Vince as always gave a great voice performance. His actions were mocapped by Todd Soley who went on to voice Ethan in RE 7 and RE Village.

The Wrestlemania story for SVR 2006 with Stone Cold Steve Austin as G.M. was my favorite. Don't get me wrong I also liked the Triple H storyline as well.
My favorite one is the US Title open challenge because 1. It was my favorite wrestler John Cena who did it first 2. They mentioned it in the game 3. It was inspired by him
They also rip off the whole storyline about the number one contender pretending to have changed only to betray the Champion when he least expects it in sm vs raw 2007 form the Eddie Guerrero and Batista storyline in 2005 except in the game JBL was the number one contender and Eddie Guettero couldn't finish the storyline because unfortunately he passed away 😔
You could add another just it was in a different company with in WWE2k20 Mickie James did if I lose than I will retire storyline and now in real life in Impact Mickie James is doing this right now

I like to do my own storyline even if I’m just making matches for the wrestlers I just make it up a storyline even in those games that have rivals matches.

WWE 2K22 < Smackdown vs Raw 2022. The game were getting vs The Game we want.
The Reason why I always play smackdown Vs Raw 2006 it's because of the Teddy long Storyline and also GM Mode.
They had a lot of good storylines
