I haven't run in years, and currently suffering bad depression, BUT this video made me go "let's do a run tomorrow!". I would now but its very late. Running always helped clear my mind, thanks for the encouragement Keltie
@cezza_4 I totally feel you. I have ran 27 half marathons and 6 full marathons. After I had my son, my running took the back seat. I could get in stroller runs when he was little. Now, that he's 4, it's kinda miserable running while a kid is having a tantrum. Also, my rescue pit bull, who always ran with me, passed away from cancer in July. I ran with her for 12 years. I just can't make it out the door without crying.
I’ve done 7 half marathons & Vancouver is by far my favorite ever - I did it twice. It’s such a beautiful route & you get to see so much of Stanley Park. 10/10 recommended ❤
You’re not crying I’m crying 🥹❤ I did the virtual Boston marathon because I figured it was probably my only chance to ever do it. I was in soo much pain for the last 5 miles at least, but the fact that I finished is something no one can ever take away from me. 🦄💙💛
I’m only 9 years younger than your Mum and I’m so glad you included her on this running journey. I need to run again… if your Mum is, there’s no excuses for me x
Keltie, I started tearing up watching you cross the finish line. You are the only RUclipsr I follow where I watch every single upload. You are amazing!! 🧡
I've been here for a few years and witnessed Keltie continued to explore the best version of herself. From hair growth journey, to now the running and fitness journey. I just hit my 1 year running streak and have to say, it changed me. Who knows what to expect, but I will be here, always!
Also I do not advise anyone run through that kinda pain, defiantly regretted it for the next week after hahah. But sometimes us humans do silly things we can look back and laugh at lol. Not my smartest move but it is WHAT IT IS hahahahah
Gonna be running my first half marathon in September and this is SO encouraging, especially for someone who has NO fitness base and is building from scratch.
So true about the running bug. I started running 16 years ago just afew miles here and there. I did my first race 10k and loved it and did 10ks for a long time. 5 years ago did my first half and now have done 17 half and one full marathon. Next up is my 2nd full in April. You should go for the full they are a lot of work but so rewarding.
I’m new-ish to fitness and you inspire me to keep going and also show that healthy habits can be so small in scale but huge in impact! And as a disabled person, I relate so deeply to your half marathon story- sometimes you just have to get it done and it’s not pretty, proud of you nonetheless!! ❤
Thank you for this video! I had injured myself in the summer because I had done too much too soon. I’ve ran a handful of times since after it took forever to heal from my injury. I am in my early 40s and I can’t go as hard anymore. I am re-inspired to go for easy runs. My only goal is to run. I don’t need to go fast. I don’t need to go a million miles. Getting older is weird but running is amazing for my mental health. So thank you. You inspired me with your running streak and you did it again!
The boring audio method worked for me on my first run in a long long time. I enjoyed running bc I wasn’t running to lose weight or slim down or anything. I was just running for the sake of running, and I loved it. I’m glad we’re all in our millennial running era 😂
Hi Keltie, finding your content this summer took me out of huge anxiety spiral, I have been for over 2 months and because of you, I uninstalled tiktok and tried to detox on dopamine. And I started running, simultaneously with my boyfriend who at that time was getting ready to move countries for our relationship. Now we are training for a marathon and hurts like hell, but hearing all of this from you is a huge motivation
I really like all of the running content! I remember when your first video of the run streak came out, and I was a skeptic, because I don't think running every day is healthy, but then when you talked about how short some of the runs could be, and I was just like, okay, she's doing this in a really healthy way. I've also been there with the rationalization of "I've done a 5k, I just need to do that 3 more times".
You are such an inspiration!! I'm a former athlete (volleyball, basketball, softball and track) who has been unable to workout for soooooo long due to health issues. I pretty much gave up, got tired of fighting what seemed like a losing battle. Your videos have changed all of that: I now have goals...BIG goals. Everyone sees a change, a hope, a fight in me now ...and that's all thanks to you and your videos. 🩷 Congratulations on your running journey, can't wait to see what's next! 🎉
So so proud of you Keltie! Been proud of you a lot lately, with all the habit kicking and how you choose to live your life. You’re awesome and such an inspiration to watch, I literally wait for your videos. But you need to try to sleep more! 😂 I personally haven’t been able to keep up with running until now, but you might just convince me. Happy new year from Greece !
Thank you so so much ❤️❤️ You're making me cry saying you're proud of me! HAHAH you know I'd rather you sleep then watch, the video will be waiting for you in the morning hahaha. If you get into running this up coming season hope you love it! GOOD LUCK YOU GOT THIS
I, too, have split my shin open on a box jump and needed stitches. I, too, am a runner who ran while those stitches healed. I, too, was thought crazy by other people. This drove home two things for me: 1) I likely will not be a CrossFit world champ. Is fine. 2) Running and bodies are amazing and you should never let anyone tell you that you're running "wrong" (unless you look like Phoebe from Friends... might need a form check). Congrats on your first half - I hope the memory of it propels you to many more start lines!
I run my 1st half a month from now. I'm nervous and excited. Seeing your videos feels like I have a companion every step of the way! Lots of love from México 🇲🇽
Those damn box jumps. Got a scar on my shin as reminder. Nine years ago I did a 10k race. This year it's my goal to get back to 10K as I am not running and haven't been for years. Thank you for the inspiration!
oh sweet Keltie, by the minute you started talking about your two best friends being by your side on the race day, I found myself crying. This video made me think of my own journey. So proud of you girl, “let it rip”❤
this video came at the perfect time, i just had my best ever 10k time (57:59!!!) and i’m so inspired to push harder and really dial in to what my body is capable of. thanks for it all Keltie 💜
Love this video ❤ running is my escape, my breathing time, my time outside 🌿, my ‘me’ time! No goals or distances for why I run atm just something I love doing so I do it! Love your story and so cute seeing you with your Mom. Hope my kids will run with me too when they are able 🙏☺️
I did my first half marathon in San Francisco. I set it as a goal and trained for it in Van and Whistler. My reward was the trip to SFO. My bestie trained with me and I will never forget the feeling of crossing that line! Also did Vegas, but do not recommend and it’s SO flat that you are constantly using the same muscle groups, which isn’t how I trained (hills etc). Even a speed bump felt like relief 😂 Thanks for encouraging me to get back out there (ps I’m your mom’s age 💁♀️)
Congratulations Keltie! 🎉 all of your running content in the past 2 years has been such an inspiration for me. I’m so happy I finally got to meet you at the 5k and say hi before our half marathon. I had no idea how much you had to push for that finish…you’re such a badass! Maybe I’ll see you around the Seawall this year ❤
Great video! So much here that’s relatable. Started my running journey a bit over two years ago and it was the best decision ever… beyond hooked now. All the best on your continued running!
I really enjoy your running content!! it’s a part of the reason I ran my first half marathon in October, never used to run but played volleyball for years and hated running in practice haha (p.s. I like the music in this video, not sure if you produced it yourself but it definitely added to the video!)
I love this. I'm getting back into running, and I'm finding so much inspiration in you. I've set a goal of running a 5k in every county in my state (Iowa - 99 counties total) and we'll have our first two in the next three weeks! Also planning to run my first half marathon this summer. 😊
My sister has a legitimate dent in her shin from a box jump 12 years ago… those things are evil! Nice work Keltie! While of course running a half marathon is amazing, I’ve been watching you try to conquer your skin picking and I’m so proud of you for trying. I also skin pick and it’s so so hard. We can do this together!
Love your channel, I have been following you for years and see what you have tried and what has worked for you and hasn’t now on your 2 year running streak is amazing and inspiring. My goal this year is to a run a half marathon, I’m scared, but if you can do it. I can do it too. Thank you for your inspiration and what to except.
Thank you for following my journey ❤️ Good luck with training for your half marathon,m that scared and excited feeling was the same I had. I know you can do it!! Literally just 1 step at a time, good luck ❤️❤️
So proud of you! I enjoyed this video so much. I have taken a break from running and hearing your experience has me so excited for when I start again (:
Such a great video! A few additions: Something is always better than nothing. A slow, steady mile is better than staying in because you're not up to 5k of hard intervals like you "should" do. Jogging is valuable for maintenance of cardio health, mobility, and endurance, even if you're not pushing yourself. As the daughter of a runner, who competed in cross country and track as a teen, lMHO, distance is kinda moot after 5k. You can train to run further, but you're basically just pushing your endurance, not fitness. Shorter than 5k is very much about pacing for the distance. You can work on improving your time, even if it's just for a mile. You don't have to dedicate increasing time to running further. You can push yourself just as hard by running a few miles as fast as you can as running very long distances. It's always more important to be able to come back tomorrow or next week. Running produces more injuries than most sports. IIRC, each step puts 3.5xs your weight on your leg. When it comes to your joints, err on the side of caution.
I got back into running this year after awhile of not running and I missed the runners high. Starting running in winter sucks but I’m so excited to train for my half marathon and marathon this year 😄
This is the final sign I needed to sign up for this 1/2 Marathon in May! Woop woop! Please make a video on how you trained!!! You are so awesome and I love your videos and youuu
I gotta say, I did NOT get races at all until I participated in one. It truly does feel electric. Everyone is cheering you on, you’re working towards finishing, it’s pretty magical. Now my husband and I are trying to figure out which races we’re going to do this year 😂
Inspiring! I run for myself and everybody who‘s not able to like me the last years. Thank you for sharing your Journey with us and I‘m sure I will think about some Parts of it on my First race in September☺️
Nice, the Great Trek is a fun race! I like how its a bit more low key compared to some of the bigger Vancouver races (and the fall colours). I was signed up to run it this year but broke my back mountain biking a few weeks before... next year!
Come to the dark side, ultras are the best (and the trails are much nicer on the joints). I listened to your spotify playlist on repeat this weekend during my ultra and it gave me so much energy!
I see your upping the editing game, good stuff (yeah i grew up in the 90's so can deff. relate to the forest gump cuts lol) i know it sounds weird that something "healthy" can be an unhealthy obsession but like anything, figure out a way to work things into a proper plan (really this can be anything labelled as "good" or "bad", i think of more in terms of "is this making life live or is it making life ugly" to give an extremely simple break down (i can explain on this concept but it would be lengthy)) definitely looking forward to more Keltie content in 2024 (side note a golden or a lab would definitely suite you)
Hey Jon! Thank you so much! Been really loving the content I'm making lately and excited to up the editing even more in 2024! Great point that a plan truly can help with that constant healthy vs unhealthy balance. You get me there, out goal is to have some kind of golden or lab mix, I can't wait for the day!
You totally nailed the reasons I love and hate a run streak. I've also gotten injured in them and seen others do the same. For anyone who thinks you HAVE to do a marathon, I did a marathon as my first race and I regretted it. It left me sore for a month after, I almost stopped running entirely. Even in the training blocks you're running for about 3 hours at the end. For me the fun leaves after 2 hours or so, so half marathons are perfect for me. I would suggest trying a race as a motivator if that's your thing, but start reasonable!
Keltie, I had a dream the other night that I was you and I was running through countries and countries in Europe. I have no idea why it was in Europe as I live in the US, but I felt accomplished either way. Running was the most freeing and light feeling in the world, it made me so happy. That dream in itself inspired me to start running. So, thank you for inspiring me to run lol!
I got the chocolate LMNT because of you and its such a nice hot-coco treat while having sm benefit!!!! THANK YOU for promoting things you like and that really work!
Would LOVE to see a video on your relationship to food and body image! I know you have done one in the past that mentioned it but with all the changes to life in the last few years, it would be super interesting to see!
Such a great video. Your story. How you documented your experience. The editing. YOU. All are 😍 perfect. Happy New Year Keltie! Can hardly wait to see what’s next for you.
❤❤❤ love this , love running 🏃♀️. I will choose running over any other workouts. It is my favorite and thank you for sharing you journey because running is truly a journey and so rewarding 😊
I am the only runner in my family. I'm not perfect or any such similar, not a good streak to be proud of, but I started it. My sons have joined me a couple of times. I have done two or three 5Ks and a 10K, but didn't monitor PR times, which is good because my slow behind got lost on the 10K track. Growing up, I loved soccer, but HATED running. Now it helps keep me sane. 3x/wk using the couch-to-10K this time, which I've done the couch-to-5K before multiple times.
I drunkenly fell on my patellas 2 months ago and i havent been able to stop thinking about my return to running since. yesterday made 2 months since my fall and its been soooo rough not being able to run!
I did the Route 66 half marathon in 2014. Mile 4 I got the worst hitch in my hip. I had to walk the remaining course. I finished with the marathoners...and I never ran again. I'm now a powerlifter and have ❤ ever minute of it and it's the only activity I've stuck with long term. I'm at 3.5 yrs so far.
Thank you for telling your story! Ah yes, the stories we tell ourselves. Mine used to be "I can't run unless it's after a ball! It's just too boring!" Now I love running. The things that seem to have worked for me are inlisting in the local running club running every Sunday, Conqueror's Challenges and setting the goal of a half marathon with friends in April. I felt defeated but feel so strong now after only two months. Oh and side note: My thighs show muscle now, and I lost 14 pounds. Funny how easy that was, when not focusing on it!
so many amazing accomplishments, Keltie-congratulations! I also ran my first official half marathon in October. best weather for running in Manitoba, although its nowhere as scenic as Vancouver haha, its boring AF. signed up for another this May! all the best for your next race!
I’ve finally restarted my running journey as I was smashing out 5k runs, and lost it as I had to put all my energy into my 9-5 🥲 and I am obsessedddd with your running journey! It’s such a huge motivation, and the quality and creativity that goes into your challenges and journeys in person and via your channel, really is inspirational and you’re helping me and I can imagine, sooo many others! Thank you for everything you do Keltie 🙏🏼🩷
Oh my gosh steph this is making me teary eyed. Thank you for leaving such a nice comment ❤️ AS a girl that has to work and can't put 100% of her life into running life a pro athlete I FEEL you there! You restarted which is the hardest part! Good luck with this up coming run season ❤️
@@KeltieOConnor thank you so much lovely, I’ve been watching you for years now and inspired by every video you create! I’m so excited to come back one day and say, this is my 2 year running journey! 🤩❤
Tried LMNT after watching your videos a few months ago, and wow! What a game changer! I know you're sponsored, but appreciate the honest feedback and recommendations :)
Hey hey Keltie!! Congrats on 2 years running! If you ever get serious about a triathlon (as potenitally alluded to at the end) I'd be super happy to train on bikes with you!! I even have 2 bikes (one not ideal but youd look speedy beside me!) and 2 helmets if you wanted to give it another try!! 🤗 PS that 5km is still one of my best highlights since moving to Van!! Thanks for a great memory!! ☺️
I struggle with the slow music, I found your Rage Lift Playlist (and I love it 😅) and was going too fast, but I figured out the other week how to use it make a game for doing interval. Long way of saying I love your Playlist 😂❤
Honest run an ultra!!!! They’re everything you love about running! It’s a party of music and food and the joy of movement and the celebration of friendship made via the trails. Choose one with soft trails And easy elevation changes, take it Slow and easy and just enjoy. It embodies everything positive you described in this video. (I find ultrasound easier than marathons. You take your time, you connect with the course, with the athletes, explore New areas and eat Great food.
One of the first comments yay. I also do similar workouts as you and started running last year. Signed up for a half marathon in May. Let’s see how that will go :))
I just started running again in fitness (I'm not running in a snowstorm 🥶) but I can't really afford runningshoes and I prefer barefoot shoes or at least minimal cushion, so if you have any tips on 'low budget running start' I would be so glad to hear them! Your journey has really inspired me, while I've been trying to find my own way, thanks 💜
Loved the video. I wpuld love to see you dig into heart rate zones and heart rate training. That will be a game changer. I myself have been running for 7 years, not in a streak but on weekly basis. I have realized I have been running wrong. Some runs that feel good may be even bad for you. Since I started catching up on low heart rate training and and heart rate zones my running have been more efficiant than ever. And yes, it is hard as hell in the beginning even tho I am a almost daily runner. But the result after 3-4 months is mind blowing. I would love to see you dig into it and try it. I will subscribe to hope to see it soon! Btw I saw you run in Limhamn in Malmö in the video, really close to me so fun to see!
I love stories like this! I just posted my “documentary” about how it took me 11 years of trying until I could finally run a marathon. I accidentally ended up becoming a full blown runner 😂
I ALWAYS have that thought in the last 5km of a half. What the hell am I doing?!? But you’re so right that it all dissipates the second you cross the line. Usually found my next race before I go to bed that night lol
Eeekk I am so proud of you!! You are such an inspiration to watch and it makes me so happy that you caught the running bug🥹I have got my first marathon this year and a half mara is my favourite distance to run heheh. I am hoookkkeeedddd🥰 Really loved this video, keep smashing it💛💛 P.s. makes me so happy that you included your mum too🥹🥹
You were the one that got my curiosity for running going! I am far from your level but oh well, at least I can run 500m without feeling out of breath hahaha
OMG I love this. As a competitive runner and just about to graduate from the NCAA, seeing people enjoy the sport of running makes me so happy! I would love to come and pace you at a race in late spring/early summer if you were interested or train with you? I’m finishing classes in April but staying the US (I’m from England) for another couple of months! Would love to travel and meet you ❤
I just wanted to say that also don't worry if running isn't the right sport for you! Running is quite high impact and hard on the joints (despite how fun it is!). I personally love running but have suffered with shin splints for years, just move your body in a way that feels good for you ☺️
My mom did that too she passed away a few years ago. Maybe I should run for her. I have been thinking about it. You might have convinced me Keltie.
Sending you a hug 🫶 what a beautiful idea 🤍
This was such an amazing put together video. Youre killing it Keltie!!!

Welcome back! I’ve always enjoyed any of your content: cooking, travel, lifestyle, just random life :)
I started w just wanting to run 1 block and not want to die. Now im registering for a marathon! And completed 2 halfs and many other!!
I’m doing a 5K in March. You’re one of the main reasons why I wanted to start running. ❤
A few additions:
Something is always better than nothing.
Thank you Keltie this post is just what I needed right now- love ya!😂🏃♀️🌿🧘🏼🙏
Solid run advice, I’ve been running for over 10 years and I’ve been through all these phases.
I love this!! Your unconsciousness & me teamed up together last night hehhe 🫶🩵
❤this was beautiful Keltie! I love watching your face of joy when you're in the moment 💕
Loved this - started my couch to 5k!
I LOVE THAT!!! Good luck with your first 5km, you got this!
How did your 5k go? I’m not yet beyond a 5k but here’s to pushing ourselves and not limiting!
Awesome, Kellie!! Congratulations!! I think I have seen you on my runs 🏃♀️💕
Love your running content!! It’s keeping me motivated
Great video Keltie! Your editing is really on point! 😊
Thank you Kristel!!!
I drunkenly fell on my patellas 2 months ago and i havent been able to stop thinking about my return to running since. yesterday made 2 months since my fall and its been soooo rough not being able to run!
Ughhh injuries are the WORST!! Hoping you’re in the last stretch of recovery and can get back out there soon 🙏🏼
Years ago I tried to jump over a low chain fence a week before Jasper-Banff relay which ended in a one point landing (on my kneecap!) so I feel ya!
I'm at 3.5 yrs so far.
super inspiring
YEEEES! I DO THAT TOO! THATS how rediscovered my City 😅 exploring it by running its so fun!!!!
Hey keltie! Can't wait to watch this 😊
Hope you enjoy!
Another amazing video! Good for you for progressing in your running journey 😊
Perfect timing, I started running 2 days ago
Good luck on your run journey! I hope you enjoy every step of the way
pun intended
Your mom looks amazing! My only hope is to look that good at 60! Oh yeah and you did great too! My run streak is on!!
I feel the same! She is the best role model I feel so blessed
Tried LMNT after watching your videos a few months ago, and wow! What a game changer! I know you're sponsored, but appreciate the honest feedback and recommendations :)
your videos are so inspiring!🫶🏻
Thank you Molly!🫶
Hey hey Keltie!! Congrats on 2 years running! If you ever get serious about a triathlon (as potenitally alluded to at the end) I'd be super happy to train on bikes with you!! I even have 2 bikes (one not ideal but youd look speedy beside me!) and 2 helmets if you wanted to give it another try!! 🤗
PS that 5km is still one of my best highlights since moving to Van!! Thanks for a great memory!! ☺️
Running is such an easy addiction! I love this video!
I truly is! Thank you Kristen!
Choose one with soft trails
And easy elevation changes, take it
Slow and easy and just enjoy. It embodies everything positive you described in this video. (I find ultrasound easier than marathons. You take your time, you connect with the course, with the athletes, explore
New areas and eat
Great food.
Beautiful video keltie O'Connor love you keep up the great work thank you ma'am
One of the first comments yay.
I also do similar workouts as you and started running last year. Signed up for a half marathon in May. Let’s see how that will go :))
AMAZING!!!! Good luck training! Hope the race goes amazing YOU GOT THIS
I just started running again in fitness (I'm not running in a snowstorm 🥶) but I can't really afford runningshoes and I prefer barefoot shoes or at least minimal cushion, so if you have any tips on 'low budget running start' I would be so glad to hear them!
Btw I saw you run in Limhamn in Malmö in the video, really close to me so fun to see!
anytime Keltie posts, I simply watch.
I love to hear it!!
I am hoookkkeeedddd🥰
Really loved this video, keep smashing it💛💛
P.s. makes me so happy that you included your mum too🥹🥹
I have almost a 5 years running streak in the morning 🎉🙌🏼 the running bug is real.
You were the one that got my curiosity for running going! I am far from your level but oh well, at least I can run 500m without feeling out of breath hahaha
I hate running, but love watching keltie run!😊
Half marathon for our full bestie 🥺🥺🥺💞💞💞
OMG I love this. As a competitive runner and just about to graduate from the NCAA, seeing people enjoy the sport of running makes me so happy! I would love to come and pace you at a race in late spring/early summer if you were interested or train with you? I’m finishing classes in April but staying the US (I’m from England) for another couple of months! Would love to travel and meet you ❤
Very inspiring. Very well done.
Happy weekend Keltie! ❤😊
Have a great weekend Karley!
I just wanted to say that also don't worry if running isn't the right sport for you! Running is quite high impact and hard on the joints (despite how fun it is!). I personally love running but have suffered with shin splints for years, just move your body in a way that feels good for you ☺️
