I don't understand that last scene. I finished the book and they lived forever in the forest with Chiron until the end of their lives. There were a bunch of odd, blank pages after that... but I ignored it. Don't know what they were there for.

@@lovingfullsun_mj4156 Oh boy there is a lot wrong with that sentence (apologies in advance): 1) it's Heracles (Or Herakles) never Hercules (we're talking about Greek mythology, unless you wanna talk Roman). 2) Heracles is Perseus' great-grandson (and also half-brother thanks to Zeus, but still a couple generations later) BUT there's no mention of them meeting ever, just brief mention that they are related, likely Perseus would have been dead by Heracles' time. 3) I think you're thinking of how perseus unknowingly and accidentally killed his grandad with a disk to the head (though the granddad had earlier locked his mother away to stop her from becoming pregnant and when that didn't work he tried to kill baby perseus and his mom, so the grandad definitely deserved it). That OR you're thinking of Perseus chopping off Medusa's head (remember in Greek mythology she was born a monster, never a sa victim cause that's roman, so Perseus still does nothing wrong) cause he was ordered to. Either way, only perseus commits head related murder (but still it's justifiable and there is no personal/emotional motivation) and Heracles never interacts with him. In short no Heracles never killed Perseus.
@@ilikedinosaurs392 apologies, I have heard it spelled as Herakles I just see Heracles used more often so I decided to use that for the spelling. Often I see Greek mythology character's names with different spellings (I don't know if it has anything to do with translation or just myth differences), such Athena and Athene, so I just use the easiest to remember ones/more common names (as long as it isn't the Roman names).
@@iliketea1427 I'm pretty sure it's because of the translation between different alphabets and also because ancient greeks probably spelled the same words a bit differently over timeperiods and different areas. No worries tho. Cool profile pic btw, but I think I've already said that somewhere else.

Perhaps him reaching for happiness like that’s the one thing he wants but at the same time is so hard to obtain? Or it could be him blotting out ‘happiness’ as a subtle foreshadow to what he chooses later and the consequence of that action.
Although, technically he covers both (with ‘happiness’ being fully blocked by his hand). Probably just showing how he is trying to achieve both and he believes it is through Patroclus.
