My father passed from covid, in the hospital, after a 8 week fight being on the ventilator. As the days pass, the weight to join him grows heavier, and the strength to keep holding on continues to fade. I fear the darkness that’s waiting for me is growing stronger, reaching out to gently pull me down into the void, and i won’t be able to resist anymore. Nothing is as peaceful as letting go, the struggle and suffering fading to a distant memory as the fog of life evaporated into a mist of the spiritual transcendence that awaits.
My Dad died when I was 13. That was 17 years ago. The feeling you’ve described here, that is the what I’ve felt almost every single day since he left. I suspect I’ll carry it with me until my final day.
My brother, my best friend my almost twin (11 months apart) died of covid-19. He was 45. A 🏃♂️, it was a shock to us. Still is. I feel this darkness too. This sings allows me to visit that darkness every day. That sadness, it is something we will carry for ever. With time gets easier.
You're not alone. There are moments when the urge to sink is stronger than that of swimming; however, if we give in to this urge, what of those who follow behind us? Would they, too, let go? And what of those before us - would they want us to abandon all hope? This pandemic has been crushing, but try (hard as it may be) to remember all of the things that make life worth living. Love, for instance. There's a great quote I came across from another stranger about those we've lost: "Instead of lamenting their own deaths, they'd implore us to forge ahead, knowing that both the memory of them, as well as their legacies, are in good hands."
This song has been used by someone to make a wonderful and perfect tribute to one of the great ones that he left us. Your name ?? James Gandolfini. The emotion is total. My God when Edie Falco tearfully dedicates that farewell to James at an awards ceremony is merely majestic. Thanks to all the team at The Sopranos.
This song brings the pain I carry in my body to the surface. I can’t listen without crying. But at the same time, I’m also reminded of all the good memories that go hand in hand with “bad” ones. Life, beautiful indeed. And this song really catches it all.
The season finally of "Stranger Thing's" brought me here. Such a lovely song I couldn't resist 😍 She has a Enya like quality to her voice. I'm in love!😇💙
I too suffered through a coma. This episode.. this song.. I now suffer lucid dreams constantly. And this song is exactly how I feel. Somewhere lost. A little far away. Somewhat close by. If you care to know.

True, I cried for 30 minutes.
So did David Harbour. He said he forgot it was him acting and bawled his eyes out at that part and said "he saved that little boy!" hahaha
Yeah I agree. I wanted to cry on that part. Plus, this is a sad ass song.
joshua church wow that makes me love him that much more. I just watched the scene again before this and am still crying.
The Sopranos, best show ever!!
Moby keeps surprising me, with his older songs I've never heard. Masterpiece.
Sopranos vs. Stranger Things... Sopranos for the win.
Would have to agree. The real O.G.
Lol can’t even compare. Both great shows, but sopranos is prob the greatest of all time.
@@EarthboundinAdrockyes greatest of all time!! No comparison!! Sopranos!! Forever! They transcend television!!
That freaking song 😭
My heart is forever broken Max
I wouldve prefered that eddie would be revived instead of max
broken AS Max, You mean? 😉
@@simoncinalejandro8118 AMEN
Fuck Eddie. Overrated by his cult fans despite a far less interesting story than Max.

all the best james gandolfini. absolute legend
just got to the scene last night watching The Sorpranos. Brought a tear to my eye 😔😕😢
Both “C’mon kid!” and “I don’t want to die” hit so hard to this song.
Bless your Duffer bros.
Sopranos did it first
He fought and died to protect this town.. this town that hated him he isn't just innocent... Mr. Munson ... he's a here.''
Season 4's ending got me teared up
This song makes me feel so many emotions thanks to the incredible work of the Duffer Brothers !
I grew up listening to this song. One of my first CDs. This scene hit really, really damn hard. This song means a great many things to me... To all of you out there struggling. Keep fighting. Don't give up. We may be here for but fleeting moments, but we were here. We are here.
Thanks man for giving us strength with your words so we can continue "swimming" the ocean
This song is so unbelievably beautiful.
you didn't run away this time...
Tony looking at a lighthouse brought me here
I wanna go back to those days when I used to watch sopranos
Tony never had the makings of a varsity finnerty

"I didn't run away this time,right?"
- Eddie Munson 💔
[Verse 1: Mimi Goese]
Where were you when I was lonesome?
Locked away with freezing cold
Someone flying only stolen
I can't tell this light so old
[Chorus: Mimi Goese]
I don't want to swim the ocean
I don't want to fight the tide
I don't want to swim forever
When it's cold I'd like to die
[Verse 2: Mimi Goese]
What was that my sweet sweet nothing?
I can't hear you through the fog
If I holler let me go
If I falter let me know
[Chorus: Mimi Goese]
I don't want to swim the ocean
I don't want to fight the tide
I don't want to swim forever
When it's cold I'd like to die
I don't want to swim the ocean
I don't want to fight the tide
I don't want to swim forever
When it's cold I'd like to die
[Outro: Mimi Goese]
I don't want to swim the ocean
I don't want to figh the tide

Will always be a sopranos song ..
but was glad it appeared in another of my fav shows .. RIP EDDIE 😔😪
Came here after hearing this song during The Sopranos. What a soothing song to go with an amazingly-shot scene.
Hang in there, friend
Shoulda got vaxxed. 🤷♂️

This song has been used by someone to make a wonderful and perfect tribute to
one of the great ones that he left us. Your name ?? James Gandolfini.
The emotion is total. My God when Edie Falco tearfully dedicates that farewell to James at an awards ceremony is merely majestic.
Thanks to all the team at The Sopranos.
When Gandolfini sit in the hotelroom in his Comadream......was one of the best endings in tvHistory.
I've just started the first few bars of this track and am already crying.
Eddie and Max forever xxx
RIP James Gandolfini.
This song brings the pain I carry in my body to the surface. I can’t listen without crying. But at the same time, I’m also reminded of all the good memories that go hand in hand with “bad” ones. Life, beautiful indeed. And this song really catches it all.
This belongs to the Sopranos only
100%!!!! Forever!!
this song has a very special place in my heart and i have a thousands of reasons for that!
FLY HIGH KING EDDIE T-T
The season finally of "Stranger Thing's" brought me here. Such a lovely song I couldn't resist 😍 She has a Enya like quality to her voice. I'm in love!😇💙
He didn't run this time🤧.
“I didn't run away this time.” really hits home 😢
This is the only song that has ever made me start crying.
I too suffered through a coma. This episode.. this song.. I now suffer lucid dreams constantly. And this song is exactly how I feel. Somewhere lost. A little far away. Somewhat close by. If you care to know.
but you hopefully have to never swim the ocean alone.
Honestly, no. I'm in denial. I sobbed like a child.
i had to take a 20 min break after eddie died, i couldnt handle it
One of The Most Beautiful Songs Ever Made.... Moby is that dude!!!
Am i the only one here because of Moby?
I am here because of the original album. And played this song continuously way before the Sopranos and Stranger Thins used it. Both shows are great, but the song stands on its own.
@@supershasha x2
nah, me too.
SUPERSHASHA why, its just introducing people to this music that not as many people knew about. Its a good thing
I am. But some people are hesitant to admit it, because Moby was considered "uncool" (especially by Eminem haha) but his music, I like some of the tracks :)
RIP Eddie 💔🎸 You were my hero.
Max, come back to us. 🙏
