Just bought this at a REALLY good price, complete with 150 capsules of various type/size (and a discount voucher for my next purchase of pods). The coffee is delicious and the machine looks great on the counter. They even give you bags for the used pods so that the aluminium can be recovered. Love it!!
Looks very nice and compact, I have tried and still use Lor pods as the taste is excellent and they are available in supermarkets. It’s a machine ideal for limited kitchen space. Thanks for showing us all.
Yeah we quite often pick the Ristretto and Supremo up in supermarkets and have lots of others to try now with the pods that came with the machine ☕️😁 Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂
Just to clarify there is no on off switch on this machine right ? I got mine yesterday and just wondering if I need to wait for the machine to warm up or something before pressing any buttons ? Thanks.
That’s right with this model 👍🏼 You have to make sure your cup or glass is in place before pressing any buttons. Once you press the desired coffee size button it will then heat up the machine and pour the coffee without pressing the button again. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for this! My current espresso & Coffee machine has been discontinued and I will no longer be able to buy their proprietary pods, soon. I was about to pull trigger on the CitiZ machine and was mourning the fact that I would not be able to make large coffees while entertaining at the touch of a button anymore. Then, by chance, while shopping Nespresso pods on Amazon I saw this system advertised. I LOVE that it will accept the HUGE variety of Nespresso pods as well as their own proprietary pods. This is brilliant! I will be looking forward to your longer-term review.
Thanks for sharing your reasons for looking at the L'or machine! Really glad the video helped and look forward to bringing that long term review to you ☕️🙂👍
Thank you for this review that I requested. I actually purchased this machine with the pod selection as I thought it was such a good price. I'm very happy with the quality of coffee it makes. I like that it makes 2 drinks at a time if nessessary. Thanks for reviewing.
Yeah apologies it took a while, it was such a good deal in the end we just had to try it out. Thanks for sharing your experience with the machine. I’m looking forward to trying one of the double espresso pods in a latte or cappuccino to see if it works as well and tastes as good as two single pods ☕️😁👍🏼
Hi that was an XXL decaffeinato espresso pod which should either give you two 40ml espressos or one 80ml double espresso so I can't understand how you got two 80ml double espressos out of one pod.
I bought some reusable pods, they have zero holes in them, surely this machine doesn’t poke the holes in both the top and bottom of these reusable pods? How do these work please?
Just found your site and its excellent. I just bought one of these in January and am enjoying it! The good thing is it also uses Nespressso pods, and indeed Costa, Insomnia, and Starbucks. I just wonder are they as good as the L'or pods, anyone have an opinion? My other question is I notice you didnt heat the cup....I find if I dont heat the machine and cup the coffee isnt all that hot. But then I'm used to coffee from americano machines in service stations which are quite hot. What are your thoughts? Finally is what is the best way to make an Americano? Looking forward to seeing all the videos! Thank you very much!! K
Hi 👋 Glad you're enjoying the videos! Yes heating the cups is a great way to keep the coffee hotter for longer isn't it 👍 On standard Nespresso machines we also found that pouring a shot of hot water through first also heats the mechanism up a bit before pouring an espresso but haven't actually tried that with this machine yet. We do have a video on the channel trying different ratios of espresso and water to make an americano with a Nespresso machine. It's a few years old but the same tips should apply with the L'or machine too, in case that video helps 😊 Thanks again for watching and sharing your thoughts!
I'm looking to upgrade from my old Essenza Mini. I was thinking of buying the Citiz but then I noticed the L'Or (which is abotu $100 cheaper than the Citiz). I know you're a Citiz fan, so my question is....would you recommend the L'Or over the Citiz or vice versa?
Hi 👋 This is a great question. Sadly at this moment I’d have to say I’m not sure and because of this I’d probably go with the Citiz as I’ve always found it to be robust and reliable. The barista sublime has a lot going for it - the XXL capsules being a big one - but I can’t give you a long term review yet. We’ll be reviewing more features of the machine going forward though so please do stay tuned ☕️👍🏼
Hi, I’m having a problem adjusting the water volume on this machine when I press the button it flashes intermittently and not rapidly, can you please help?
@A2BProductions ooh thanks to let me know that. I would be very happy to try them all. L'OR they're doing a great jobs beside to nespresso, starbucks, illy & Lvazza. These all my favourites as of now
I've been seeing a lot of ads regarding this machine, it caught my attention.. but they didn't mention anything about the availability of the capsules. This made hesitate to consider it. Nespresso started their campaign with images of their capsule filled stores
Yeah it’s a good point you make and I’ve seen it advertised a lot too. The L’Or Nespresso pods are quite widely available here in the UK in supermarkets etc and know you can order them online too. Not sure I’ve seen the XXL pods in supermarkets though so do agree maybe that’s something they could try and make more available but they are available online either on Amazon or direct from the L’Or website if that helps at all 🙂
Hi There, Just bought this machine 2 weeks ago and there is now an issue with it, basically it only fills up the espresso cup about 1/2 to 3/4, it looks like water is trapped, and then as soon as you lift up the lever, water will fall out and drop into the catch tray at the back, for whatever reason it looks like it's stuck...any ideas? is it faulty already?
@@A2BProductions What was the deal you opted for on this machine with the pods as I see there are multiple options on the Amazon link you included which vary in price by quite a bit (£87 to £144)?
I actually got it direct from the L’Or website but I don’t think the deal I got was still available when I last checked, which is why I linked to Amazon in the description too. I got the L’Or Barista Sublime Bundle where I paid £59 for 150 pods (including some of the XXL pods) and the machine came free with it. There may be a similar deal available though so I hope this helps ☕️🙂
Yeah it is different seeing the L’Or logo on the front of a Nespresso machine 😅 The machine does take all OriginalLine Nespresso pods in case that helps but know some people will just prefer the machines from the Nespresso range.
only troubles from the beginning has been returned and partly repaired. now the machine won't close again and is ready for the garbage bin. don't buy!!!
Thanks very much, your video is so helpful for I just bought one last week. Very helpful mate! God bless you! 😊👍
Great to hear! Thanks so much 😊

Quite a good tutorial.
Clear, succinct and pertinent.

Thank you for this unboxing! I really look forward to the in-depth review :)
Glad it helped 🙂 We did post a review after using it for a few weeks but will try and do a more long term one too 👍🏼
@@A2BProductions oh you're absolutely right, I don't know how I missed it! I'll check it now 😁
Thanks for this...great machine, just had my first coffee with it and it was fabulous ❤
Great to hear! Thanks 😊

I had this machine but returned back to Amazon.
As the creme wasn't very good. Have a Nespresso Vertue machine now .
Hope you’re enjoying the Vertuo machine ☕️🙂👍🏼

Tbis could give Nespresso a run for their money. Thanks for the vid, as usual, it was marvellous.

☕️😁
Sir based on your taste.
Which capsule drom Lor found to be the best one?
From ones I've tried I liked the Onyx and Supremo pods and the Ultimo had a real kick to it, but I've only tried that pod once.

It'll break quickly and any offer of free pods is a scam. Get a Breville.
Not much choice for decaf.
