He's not really a singer like Chronixx for example, even he himself have said so, but he gets his "message" out which the most important thing. His original music is more highly lyrical and conscious, just like how conscious Rap use to be back in the olden old days. Most people, however, don't really appreciate that sort of music because not too many people are vibing on that same frequency to truly appreciate and overstand what he's talking about. Kabaka also says that Damian M. told him to tone down his lyrical content and guess to simplify his lyrics so that more people can tune in to them but has for me I really prefer his old music. Stephen Marley also wrote and Produced Damian Marley's first album and nothing is wrong with having some different input in your music at times.
