Some secret agent shit or modern day military operations like from Rainbow Six Siege would be cool but nope everyone wants to go down the super power route.
There are animes that heavily feature guns, but you have to search a little bit, since they're mostly old or kind of obscure. Also, Japanese people don't have the same relationship with guns as Americans do, so it'd actually be kind of strange for a lot of the popular anime to have a lot of guns in it from a cultural standpoint.
