Hello, I am an english person who studied Russian Language for years. I also originally watched the Al Bundy (Married with...)TV series in the 1980s/1990s to which the Russian Clone was based off of. Although my Russian is decent, I turned on the English subtitles for your video. I am not sure if this was intentional or a mistake in translation, but how "Dasha" is described as a sociopath would be incorrect (at least in my opinion) and a lot of english people would probably agree. While I do agree the character Dasha has some not good qualities such as laziness, and what seems like not caring. I would argue that Dasha cares very much Also, a "sociopath" is severe term to describe someone who is malicious and Dasha was never malicious as in she never intended to cause harm to anyone. She was however "selfish" but she never intended or wanted to cause harm to anyone. I would also say that, its very sad. I felt sorry for Dasha, and I cried a few times watching her character, because she is a woman who doesnt feel happy and resorts to shopping to try to fill an emptiness and void in her life. Often time, especially myself, men dont think that we can be enough for women to fulfill and or be the classic male hero that they need. Is a woman who is alone better as a result? Ofcourse not, but disappointing a woman could also be worse as in Dashas case where her husband does not make enough money and is not able to afford to treat her like a Queen. Finally, I watched and listened to the explanation of the original american tv producers explanation for the creation of the series. The point according to them was that Al Bundys life is so bad, that anyone who watches must feel better about themselves. This is very flawed and actually, I disagreed with. Unfortunately, one of the producers of the show, is the type of person who gets pleasure out of seeing other people fail, which is totally sick, but unfortunately does represent "his" cultural background, if you know what I mean. Rather for myself, even though not realistic, I dont like seeing anybody fail in life. I want to see everyone suceed and be happy and fulfil their dreams. I will say that I do like how the show is more real and not fake, and shows fake people like many shows where disingenuine sociopaths lie to the public and pretend to be "heros" when actually they are wolf in sheeps clothing. (Wolf in sheeps clothing is a common english idiom.) I hope this helped you. I only meant it as to help you, and please feel free to ask me anything you want.
