A reset button would be nice. Also a "No Change" like you get with rerolling an affix.
You hit your desired temper roll.. but have 3 more to use, out of pure fearnof brick you wont dare try again. If they let you keep the one you like, those extras could be another icing on the cake.
I like the idea of reset because if you change your build, you dont need to farm a whole new set of greater affix gear to temper.
Exactly like when you want to change the dang maximum life on a weapon.. there is 2 choices and the last one you keep what you had. If they can make that system, they sure can do that for Tempering as well.
My guess is no matter what improvement they try to make, to be called an okay game instead of "D4 BAD", they insist on getting into our tempers..
Perhaps they want to keep their job, if the game was perfect, there'd be layoffs? Shrugs.
Blizzard plays the game in dev mode. They have no idea what a good piece of gear is. Temper is vrutal
An easy fix would be either a reset for tempering or have Greater affix gear drop more often 🤷🏻♂️ kinda annoying since it’s only a character we will play 3-4 months and then ditch for another in the next season

D4 is mostly a sub par version of D3 right now. It says all that needs to be said about the game really…
Unfortunately, the best case scenario is D4 becoming exactly like D3 and that makes me real sad.

Free resets would be really silly, my thoughts are this:
Each GA on an item increases the amount of Tempers you get : 1 GA = 8 Rerolls, 2 GA = 11 Rerolls, 3Ga = 15 Rerolls(God drop)
if you run out of Tempers, you can reset all tempered affixes on the item and refresh your rerolls back to the cap
For the cost of 1 resplendent spark.

With that logic go play D3, where u get set item and u dont need to do anything else, if items dont brick you gonna get BIS items within week of casual play into season as they only drop 3 roll stats now and 1 u can reroll, the only way this would make sense is it if was super expensive otherwise u get item with 2 desired greater affixed and u never need to replace it no matter what
How about you go back to playing a grindfest like PoE? You won't get BIS items within a week because some item prefixes are really rare to get as a greater affix let alone roll at all on an item. Folks who like bricking items have a warped sense of how long it actually takes to acquire decent items let alone godly ones. Another factor is the season is only 3 months long. There is not enough time to have some endless item hunt treadmill which is what you are advocating for. If someone plays 24/7 over a 2 week period I think they should have nearly perfect gear since that is nearly a 300 hour time investment.
@@ShadeIncarn Exactly! It takes so much damn time to farm the GA rolls to find a decent piece, not even a god tier piece, and to brick it is so frustrating! They gotta fix this shit asap!
This logic is tragically dumb, we can reset master working, we should be able to reset tempers, people play Diablo to get super strong characters and builds, but then we have players like you, the season is for fun, and players wanna grow in power, I completely disagree with your comment, L TAKE

this season brought gold farming in a big way to diablo 4...its blooming...doesnt blizz no that means less money in the shop? if people have to spend their money on gold farming sites instead of their shop...they lose money...unless they think this will uptick how many are on at a time thus shop income will increase...
whoever thought up of bricking should be fired...and still no diablo, no cow level and we have no cain, no paladin, no runewords/runes...is this a diablo game? id hate to see the xpan be a "return of lilith" or some crap...
the season wasnt bad nor was it omg amazing it was inbetween that and its because of things like i mentioned and because of this bricking crap...so stupid and with inflation and the economy...i dont want to be poor in a video game too
Actually the secret cow level was discovered and you can lookup how to farm the required materials to open it (ps it's ridiculously hard)

How long in a seasonal game like Diablo 4 should it take to get near perfect gear? Playing an average of 6 hours a day over a month period is 180 hours of playtime. You can best 99% of games with that amount of playtime, so I think it should be feasible to be decked out if you are investing that much time.
I know the feeling. Reminds me of lost ark leveling gear ranks. Its so stupid. Its bullshit i have to find another usable item to reroll over and over just to get the best slots.
